I'm currently reading
I've always loved his books of his vet life, so seeing the 'inside' story of this much admired man (and deservedly so) is intriguing.
Diana wrote: "I started The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek yesterday. It is hard to put down."I listened to the audio version of this book. It was excellent!
I am 10% into an arc of The Second Son by Loraine Peck - a novel about crime and retribution set in Sydney's western suburbs. So far, so good.
I am reading Beyond Fear Jaye Ford
This is my first Jaye Ford book and I am loving it :)
The Life She Creates Maggie Christensen
I am enjoying this Granite Springs series :0
Have Fun
Helen
I’m scrambling to finish the January challenge, whilst also attempting to get a head start on my Netgalley reads for February. I’m actively and alternately reading three books:The Paris Affair by Pip Drysdale
Rome Reframed by Amy Bearce (a middle-grades title) and
Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey, which I’ve been meaning to get to for ages.
Margot wrote: "The Midnight Library by Matt Haig"I would love to now your thoughts on this Margot, I have this on my list.
I am currently reading Savage Run. I love this series.
Recently I was reading both The Incredible Winston Browne and A Home Like Ours, I often read two at once and I usually manage to keep them separate in my mind, but both are set in a small river town and when Helen's cottage in AHLO needs rewiring, I caught myself thinking that she could get Mark to do it, then realised Mark was the electrician in TIWB, so wrong novel, LOL

I'm reading Bettyville by George Hodgman. It's a memoir about elder care and gay identity. I was about half way through when I found out the author had committed suicide. Very sad as it's a good book.
I have a few books going. At home, I read paperback- The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafron. At work, I read on my kindle- Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger. And in the car- I am listening to 500 Miles from You by Jenny Colgan.

The Shadow of the Wind is a great book Jen! How are you finding Confessions on the 7:45? And I haven't read 500 Miles from You :)

Margot wrote: "Fifty-Fifty by Steve Cavanagh"I just heard of this author from pinterest. I just ordered Th1rt3en written by him. Although I think my book is the fifth in the series.
I have also read The Defence and Thirteen. They and Fifty-Fifty are the only Steve Cavanagh books my library has. Have enjoyed them all.
Margot wrote: "I have also read The Defence and Thirteen. They and Fifty-Fifty are the only Steve Cavanagh books my library has. Have enjoyed them ..."Good to know, that's what I was planning to start next.
I'm reading the last few pages of "In Every Face I Meet" by Justin Cartwright. It's a case of not wanting this book to finish. Will definitely look out for more by this author.
Brenda wrote: "He's a great thriller writer isn't he Angela :) I've read the first two in the series!"Absolutely, Brenda! He's on my top list. Stuart MacBride is also on my top list - gritty, darkly humorous at times, set in Aberdeen. Have to say, I love watching these kinds of TV series, too :-)
I've had to edit the above 3 times thanks to Evie (aka Eve of Destruction - my torti and white cat) insisting on lying across my keyboard...sigh...any spelling mistakes I keep missing are due entirely to her!

I finished The Shadow of the Wind...AMAZING!! I fell in love with a few characters so much so that I wish the book didn't end.

Hahaha!!! Stuart MacBride is a little too dark for me. I loved the first one and got quite a few in the series, but each I've read after that #1 hasn't been to my satisfaction I'm afraid. Just me though :)

The storylines can be a bit 'icky', but I'm always caught up in the storylines. Poor old Logan, that DCI gets it everytime!!!
I'm currently reading
Girl, 11 by Amy Suiter Clarke. Her bio says she's American but currently working in a University library in Melbourne, so I've no idea if she's moved here or is just here for a short period for work.
Does that make her an AA? I'm asking because I'm not sure whether to add the book to the AWW site.
Everywhere it says the same as it does on her GR bio, so I've asked in the AWW group on Facebook. I'll get back to you Carolyn :)
I've been in a really restless phase with books, which is unlike me. I normally have no problems. That aside, I settled on
and have been enjoying it.
Not normally a chick lit reader but my old boss who is a good friend loves P.S., I Love You. I picked up a copy for $1 and also found the sequel Postscript so reading these.
I'm currently reading Too Much and Never Enough: How my Family created the most dangerous man. Yes, yes, I know. There are so many books slamming Trump - rightfully so. But so far it's been a real eye-opener. It sure explains a lot.
As we are driving to Broken Hill for the Riley Rally, I am not doing my reading and walking on the treadmill and my walks to Austinmer Beach but, in between navigating, I did get 120 pages of A Glasshouse of Stars read
P.S. I Love You was a one star read for me. So bad so I’ve started The Ruin by Dervla McTiernan which my sister assures me I will enjoy more. I also subscribe to a Canadian magazine, Uppercase which is described as for ‘the creative and curious’. Every issue is a feast of art and design and I read it cover to cover. It has no advertisements and is published from a subscription service.
