Sounds good. I am about 50 pages in but I am also reading Night Film at the same time.

I'm on page 156...this one is slow going for me. I read a bit of it, then have to put it down for another book. It's just not holding my attention well!That being said, there is a LOT going on! I sometimes find it hard to keep track, but at the same time, it niggles at me. This one's gonna be hard to review!
I am on page 200 and I'm not really that into it either. I am disappointed because Throne and Crown were sooo good and this one has fallen slack for me right from the beginning. I finished with my other book, Night Film so I can concentrate on just this one right now. I hope it picks up soon! I think part of my problem is that we have 3 different stories to follow with Chaol and Aedion, Celanea and Rowan, and then Manon and the witches.
I'm only a little ahead of you...I'm on page 232! It still hasn't picked up, but don't forget about the Dorian story line too! I've got another that I'm in the middle of too, but I'm making steady progress on this one too!
I am tempted to start another one because this one isn't holding my interest. I usually fly right through these but not this one :(

There's a lot of intensity and stuff to follow, I think you almost need the break every 5 chapters or so!
Just finished Part 1...A lot to process! I'm curious about the sword...I think it will be interesting to see where that goes!
Kelby, get to part 2!!! I can't put it down, things are coming together so fast! I'll finish it tonight for sure!
I was on a field trip with my son yesterday and didnt get to read at all. I will try to finish part 1 today and start part 2!!

I am so frustrated with my other buddy read. I finished the book at the beginning of the month and have heard nothing from her but one post. I have posted twice in our thread asking how she liked the book and no response. Don't freaking sign up for a buddy read if you aren't going to communicate!!!!!!!! Ugh.....ok rant over..LOL

Ok, just finished part 1 and after that last chapter I am slowly moving away from team Chaol and I really want her and Rowan to be together!!!

I'd still like to see a Dorian/Celeana match up happen, but after reading the blurbs for Queen and Storms, not sure that will happen.
Hey, Kelby...got a bit of a story/planning situation to share with you. One of my other groups does a Romance Sub Genre of the Month challenge, and this month was Dystopian Romance. Throne of Glass was actually on the Listopia list for it, so I used Throne, Crown and Heir for my reads for that challenge. When I mentioned that I was reading them, one of the mods there asked me if I was going to read the fourth book. I had told her yes, but not until May, as I was reading them on a buddy read in another group (meaning with you). She asked me if I'd be willing to buddy read it with her, and I agreed, as long as the dates lined up for our buddy read here. Would you be willing to start Queen on May 16th, the date she picked to start it in that group? If not, I totally understand, but I wanted to check with you about it before I told her it was ok.

Torn between Team Rowan and Team Dorian...but Dorian is falling behind, especially with the situation with Sorscha.
Maeve is who I was wondering as well!!! I want to see Celanea take her down...LOL I'm not liking the whole Dorian/Sorscha thing...something about her doesn't sit right with me...

Celaena has her day with Maeve...it comes at the end of Heir! It is quite good!
Oh goodness!!!! Ok, I am 30 pgs from finishing the book. I love how she freed Rowan and basically shamed Maeve in front of her "men". I have to say that in the story of the witches, I have come to respect the relationship between the witches and their wyverns. How Keelie wanted so desperately to save Petrah, knowing that she herself was going to die...it broke my heart even though they are the enemy. I am taking a break to go to lunch but will finish it when I get back. I guess it's a good thing neither of my bosses are here today...LOL

2. I can't wait to see what happens to Dorian now that he is a Vlag.
3. I want to know who is the stranger with the sword at the end.
4. I can't wait to read the reaction of the king once he finds out that Celaena is Aelin.
I can't believe he killed Sorscha. I felt so bad for Dorian but so glad that he finally stood up to his father.

2. Yeah, that was an awesome twist!
3. That's Chaol! I remembered the description of his personal sword from Throne, I think it was, and the chapter specifically mentioned that he now had an ancient blade by his side when he threw the eagle pommel sword into the sea. Chaol went down to the tomb and gave Mort directions/instructions as to where he was going and took Brannon's sword Damaris and some gold pieces from the tomb as he left. I put the two together and figured it was Chaol.
4. That is going to be PRICELESS!!!

You're right about the sword and Chaol....I totally forgot what his sword looked like. When he said that he had "no name now, no position or title" I just thought they were bringing in someone new of importance...LOL
I can't wait until the 16th!! I just started a new book and am going to start another buddy read on Thurs so all of those will be out of the way when I am ready to start Queen.

Heya, Kelby! The mod from my other group started this last night, so I've done some reading to day to catch up to her...and quite a few interesting things happening so far! She and I had a nice little discussion about who Aelin wants to kill who Ress and Brullo are and if we trust Lysandra from chapter 9 or not.I'm bogged down in Chapter 7 currently...have you started yet?
Oh, and I'm loving the fact that she only goes by Aelin now!
I read up to chapter 7 yesterday. I wonder how long it is going to take her to learn that Arrobyn is the one who set her up to be captured and sent to Endovier and why he really wants to question one of the Vlag.

I don't think it will take her that long to learn about Aryobyn, because she doesn't trust him much. I think she suspects his involvement in a lot of things.
I'm up to chapter 17...how are you doing with it? What do you think of the reversal with Lysandra?
I'm so frustrated. I only got to read to chapter 9 yesterday because I was so swamped at work and we had ball practice last night until 8:30pm. I am hoping to read during my breaks today and at lunch and at practice so hopefully I can catch up to you...LOL I'm not sure how I like the transition of Aelin and Chaol. They loved each other when she left and now they are practically frienemies.

I felt that it was more of an unrequited love on Chaol's part. Aelin could not get past his part in Nehemia's death, so was already mourning his loss. The attempted scarring of his cheek showed her true emotion for him, I thought.
Thing is, she knew her heritage, knew that she couldn't be with him and allowed the link to be severed in that way, I believe. Chaol figured it out at the end of Heir, and yet is so surprised when Aelin returns and has more of a queen like bearing. Not to mention what she had to do to show her capability to rule! He's always repulsed by what she does, when it should come as no surprise to him! He's so wishy washy, he's annoying!
I think Dorian was right when he told Chaol that he couldn't pick and choose parts of her to love, that he had to love all of her. For him to not want her to not be able to use the powerful magic that she has (to save them might I add) is just selfish. He should be grateful that she showed up and can help him. He has gone from a strong, solid, respectable character to a whiney, pitiful, crybaby who I think is secretly jealous because magic is just one more thing that Aelin and Dorian have in common and Chaol has none so he has chosen to detest magic instead of letting it help him.

Ok, I am getting ready to start chapter 17. I really want to trust Lysandra but I'm not really ready to just yet.

Looks like I only read about 5 chapters at a time...but the mod in my other group is already done with it! She says it's pretty good.
I still don't trust her. She does a few things to prove her sincerity, but it is not enough for me. I need to see more!
I am on chapter 22 right now. Our system is down at work so I will be alternating between this book and
today. 5 chapters a day is doable for me. Since I can only read during my lunch and breaks and after the kids go to bed I don't get much further than that unless it's a rare day like today.

I just can't race through these books.

Ok, I just finished where Rowan spilled the beans about the blood oath and I said "uh oh" out loud and my husband was like "what happened" I said, "someone just let out a temporary secret and all hell is about to break loose" he responded with "really....I thought it was something important".......it was!!!!!!I don't want Aedion to be able to swear a blood oath to her too...I like it just the way it is...her and Rowan.
I keep wondering if Dorian will be saved or if he is too far gone and I am really starting to despise Chaol!!
