March Playlist Team Challenge->Sign-Up

The team challenge for March is a playlist challenge! So crank up the music and get reading.

Rules & Points
*Books must be read between March 1st and 31st
*Books must be at least 100 pages to count.
*One point per song completed
*Five points for every 1,000 pages read.
*Ten bonus points for completing every song/description.
*Three bonus points for spelling a song title (using the first letter of any word in the title or author’s name-first and last- from a book read and reviewed)
*Five bonus points for every team member who completes the playlist.
*One point for participating in a buddy read (must be within our group). To get the point, you should post at least five comments about the book on the discussion thread.

To sign up just comment below and teams will be determined. If possible, please sign up by February 25th so that teams can be assigned and announced before March 1st.

If you want to participate solo in the challenge, please say so in your comment. All of the above rules apply, but will be completed individually instead of with a team.

#13Little Do You Know-Alex and Sierra: Read a book with a relationship that is being rebuilt OR Read a book with characters named “Alex” or “Sierra.”

#14Remedy-Seether: Read a book where a character has a terminal illness OR Read a book with a character who has an addiction.

#15Lie-David Cook: Read a book with an unreliable narrator.

#16Brick by Boring Brick-Paramore: Read a fairy tale retelling.

#17Bully-Shinedown: Read a book that involves bullying OR Read a book written from a bully’s perspective.

#18Run Run Run-Kelly Clarkson and John Legend: Read a book written by two people.

#19Pompeii-Bastille: Read a historical book (fiction or nonfiction).

#20Stranger in a Strange Land-Iron Maiden: Read a science fiction or fantasy novel.

Question, can I use a book to fit the fantacy category but use the first letter of the same book to spell out a song and count it twice? Does that make sense?

Also, we've usually asked for five comments in the past...do you just need four?

I couldn't remember if it was usually four or five. So I'll update that. :)

And as far as your question. Yes.

You could read a book for fantasy (Stranger in a Strange Land) and get your one point for that song, then use the letter to spell, let's say "Photograph," and once the word was spelled you would get the three points. Does that make sense?

If you choose to spell the title, does the book still have to fit into one of the song title descriptions or can we read any book?

It should also fit a category. It doesn't have to be the one that goes with the title you're spelling though.

Hey, I have a question: do books in other languages count towards the challenge as well as long as they fit the categories?

Yep. Language doesn't matter. As long as it fits the category in some way.

SPOILER ALERT: Draco Malfoy bullies Harry, Ron, Hermione, and pretty much everyone else in the series. So I was just wondering if this could work?
