@Vannessa: The Vampire Academy books count, they can go out by daylight even if it weakens them somewhat.I want to participate too but I'm also having trouble coming up with a book that has daylight vampires in it. EDIT: Nightshifted seems to have vampires in it that are active in the daytime. EDIT: nope, at least not full vampires

Thank you for letting me know about Vampire Academy. I think I have the 2nd book on my kindle so will save me having to go and buy something new. :D
a vampire out in daylight suggestion hmm. hopefully this will count for those of you whom are looking for it. The Mortal Instruments series, it has a character whom is friends with one of the main characters whom can be out in daylight due to special circumstances that pertain to them. (i am being vague as not to add any spoilers here) hope this helps.
continuation of message no. 10 .also Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan/the hollows series might also count for a consideration too. Ivy is a living vampires they won't night bound until die physically.
Also the vampires in Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series can go out in daylight. Not sure which books they're in though...a little bit in book 2 and a decent amount in book 4...but that's as far as I've gotten so far lol.

I am in and will make a post for it when I get to my computer. As the start date for this challenge is April 1st I will add the books I have read this month.A silly question. I have read a book with a zombie chicken in it will that count as zombie? (lol)

So, I read a book that had "zompires" in it. Vampire zombies...does that count? Actually, it's a series. Read all three in it so far. It's by Alexia Purdy. Her Reign of Blood series.
