Review: Now this series always start with a combat or something similar, in this case a village is exterminated and the only person who is allowed to live is an American doctor who is used roughly and made to carry drug into the US. Josh Montgomery is sent in to kill the drug leader, when he see Mark Patterson, the doctor getting raped by his target. Josh calls in backup so he can rescue Mark while the backup kills the original target.
Josh who hates what he calls babysitting takes over the duties of guarding Mark because he is attracted to Mark. Josh thought he was straight because he didn't allow himself to be attracted because his father was a homophobic Military Officer. when Josh kisses mark he freaks out and goes back to his home in Alaska, Mark recover for six months then goes to Alaska to get Josh back. Unfortunately, he goes during winter gets lost and rescued by Josh and a wolf(actually as we find at the end of the book he is a werewolf), Dakota. Mark is the foster brother of Mateo Esposito, who is the main character in the first book of the series. A lot of adventures happen and they find love at the end of the adventures. Even a visit with Josh's mother for Christmas when she meets Mark she faints in surprise. A great read.

Thanks for letting me play.
I need to have a good read through the rules as this is my 1st SS game lol.
When is my 1st roll Friday just gone on this Friday coming?

Btw reading 2nd in series

***Note to self, do that 1st before asking questions! ***

You can look at Post 52. If you have any questions, just ask. It's pretty basic, just read a book in a series that matches the #'s space for the week or read the alternate task.
And Suzanne, I added that book to my Kansas collection, lol. Thanks :)

Week 3 :
Spot 25
#2 in series

Book rating: ☆☆☆.5

Sooo after the mahoosive cliff hanger that was from Reason to Breathe I was eager to plug in and listen to book 2.
Now Emma has escaped from her aunts clutches she is living with her best friend Sara although she still has the scars and the smashed ankle to remind her of that last awful night.
Emma decides that now would be a good time to get to know her mother and promptly decides to move in with her.......WRONG DECISION!
Although in the previous book her mother seemed to have put the drinking behind her, unfortunately it has escalated into her being a full blown alcoholic, partying till all hours and bringing back a different man every night, one of these men is Jonathan.
Emma and Evan are still on the love train but haven't taken the step off of the platform yet, if you know what I mean!
Emma for some unknown reason keeps her mother's drinking a secret from Sara and Evan but confides in Jonathan and they strike up a secret friendship, meeting and calling each other in the middle of the night to discuss their nightmares.
I started to get really annoyed with Emma by the end of the book though as she seemed to want to fix everyone without sorting out her own shit first!
She tramples all over Evans heart as she doesn't trust him enough to share her secrets about her past and tells them all to a random bloke that her mother's been shagging!
I will be reading book 3 but I'm not in such a rush to do so.]

I'm seriously slacking in our Monopoly game, been on the same book for about a week!

Review:
Elena heads to Vermont to investigate an ad about werewolves and gets more than she bargained for. She learns that werewolves are not the only Supernaturals in the world and some are disappearing. They are being kidnapped and studied for scientific research of supernatural powers. Shortly after being "stolen" she learns that it's actually a game being played by billionaire Tyrone Winsloe. One where the hunters become the hunted.
This started off a little slow and I actually thought about changing my book yet again. Once she got kidnapped though, it was pretty intense and I sailed through it. The funny thing about this series, for me, is that I've enjoyed both books but I never get that 'NextbookNOW' feeling. I'm sure I'll get to the others but who knows when.

This was better than the first book! At first, I didn't like how everything was playing out, but in the end, I really liked how it all came to an end! I would like a third book, but with how things ended, I don't think it's going to happen!

Read: Beauty and the Bounty Hunter by Lori Austin

Finished: 5/8/2014
Relevance: Set in Kansas
Review: Cute historical fiction novel with a kick-ass female character. Witty banter in the wild west, I loved it! Will definitely continue with the series!
