Task # 30.2 - Jonquil's task: You think you saw what?

Book 1 Inspiration

Book I read: A Day at the Beach by Geoffrey A. Wolff
I think the book's title describes what is happening in the picture by Cassatt, two young girls enjoying a day at the beach

Book 2 Inspiration

Book I read Still Life with Bread Crumbs by Anna Quindlen
I think that Cezanne's painting is what is called a Still Life, the life part is the fruit which was at one time alive, the rest of the picture consists of objects which were never alive, like bread crumbs, These objects are also incidental to the picture as bread crumbs are to life.

I hope I did it correctly this time. If I didn't I need assistance in making the corrections

Task # 30.2 - Jonquil's task: You think you saw what?

Examine the masterpieces pictured below, and read a book with the title you imagined.

Book 1 I chose A Day at the Beach by Geoffrey A. Wolff to pair with this painting Mary Cassatt by Forty Sandra This looks to me like two little girls enjoying a Day at the Beach

Book 2 I chose Still Life with Bread Crumbs by Anna Quindlen to pair with this painting , Cezanne by Stefania Lapenta My knowledge of art is sadly pitiful but I have been told that fruit in a bowl is called a Still
Life. I imagine that the life part is the fruit which was once alive (life) and the other inanimate objects in the painting are "bread crumbs" or extras to compliment the main subject of the painting.

25.4 - Delicious Dee's task: Christmas Movie Bonanza -
For this task you will read 2 books, both books must be by single authors (no anthologies etc) and both authors must be new to you.

1. Click the Random.org Integer Generator to draw 2 numbers from 1 to 25. 2. Click on the ABC Family link and find the days of the 25 Days that correspond to the 2 random numbers that you drew. 3. Read a book where one word in the title of the book, corresponds with a one word in a movie title/subtitle on your chosen day. The word chosen must be AT LEAST 4 letters. Words in the movie and the title, MUST match exactly. The word MUST be found in the book's title, book subtitles may not be used.

I rolled a 7 and a 9. For Dec. 7's movie I chose National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

The Twelve Clues of Christmas

For Dec. 9's movie I chose Rudolph's Shiny New Year.

The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible As Literally As Possible

Both authors are new to me.
