Played tennis on Wednesday for 2 hours...
I am in shape, well for an old one.
Roger Federer would have been stiff after 6 and half hours !
Feeling fine, and playing again, plus I walk 25, 000 steps a day (16 miles)

Time to give up tennis, Sean and join the bowls brigade. Good luck, hope recovery doesn't take as long as Andy's
No not yet, keep playing if I can as long as I can.
When I recovered.
Shoulder surgery on Wednesday, on my right side, so both sides will hurt.
But back strong in a few weeks.

Well in 2010 I recovered from double re-contrusion of both my ankles, both anchilles cut, one year recovery.
Then had DVT in my right leg, which killed the blood vessels in my right calf, then I had 16 blood clots on the lungs(my wife was told to get a priest by my hospital bed)
One year off work, one year to recover and get my lungs working again.
January 2011 starting playing tennis again, after working hard to get my ankles and lungs strong.
Then diagnosed with Diabetes, which I have managed to keep to tablets and exercise.
Then woke up 2012 with a trapped nerve in my right shoulder unable to move my right arm, it took a week to move my arm again, it was a disc in my neck partially slipped out(that was so painful).
Recovered from that....
Last year trapped a nerve in my groin, with caused me to have permanent cramp down both legs, was carried to an ambulance.
A week later, recovered and back on the court...
I guess you could say I have been lucky in life, I believe in fate, and hard work and fitness has saved my life a few times.
Fate... yes my mum and dad , and my brother and sister has a car crash in Kenya (I was three) I stayed at home, I would have died sitting on my mum's lap...
Again in Bahrain age 9 years old, I went back from a picnic with my mum and dad instead of the Navy officers Jeep, my brother and sister were thrown from the back of the jeep, and survived again...
In 1985 my mother and father in law were killed in a car accident in the UK, my wife Tracey and I has just bought a house and did not go with them this time...
Wow FATE !
Sorry Hope I did not bore anyone, just do feel lucky to be here and enjoying life with my wife, we will have been married 40 years next March...
To me you must enjoy life to the best of your ability, work hard , play hard, and be good to others....

Yes I agree, I have slowed down, I have had too. This year gave up singles tennis.
But still enjoy the doubles and mixed doubles.
I agree bowls is fun.
My chilling out is reading, listening to music and walking.
kind regards, my friend

What did they do, Sean; clean and replace the socket? It will take a long time to recuperate so have patience. Take it easy
