...And the same is true of you, Sheila! Always love checking out what you've been reading!

A very good book and loved the new charecters as a great comical couple. They made Mrs. Bennet look smart.

Glad you liked that one, Lenora. Neat that they did something unique with Mrs. Bennet.

194 Choosing Real: An Invitation to Celebrate When Life Doesn't Go as Planned

I know this isn't anything close to austen just wanted to add this to my read list

Barb (barblibrarian1) Debbie wrote: "I really enjoyed getting a different perspective on Mrs. B. in that one, too. So nice to see her and Darcy actually understanding each other!"
I really thought this was a clever variation. I love seeing someone like Mrs. Bennet shock people with her ability to really understand what is happening around her. There is another unpublished story, can't remember the title, where she is actually a very accomplished match maker. Wish I could think of it...

Liked this. Could anyone tell me the name of the follow up book to this one

I don't think it's out yet, Lenora.

Talia (kneyda) | 217 comments I read a couple of books that I got as .pdf files from Claudine (thank you) but can't find them to list properly. :/

Bingley At Rosings by Michelle Ann: The title says it all. Bingley goes to Rosings with Darcy and Col F and grows a backbone! Ta-da! Loved it. :)

Locked in the Library by Lise: I am guessing this author's native language is not English? A bit hard to read and probably frustrating for some but I enjoyed it very much. We are left in suspense for a bit which was fun and when the offenders are removed to another location the antics of the family are a bit insane which is also fun. Not for everyone but a bit of fresh air for me.

195 An Encounter at Longbourn

I liked this story except the ending. It felt like it ended in the middle of an idea.

Bingley at Rosings sounds good. Adding that to my list. :-)

Lenora Robinson | 173 comments 197 Mr. Darcy's Christmas Dilemma: A Pride and Prejudice Variation Novella

This was allright but was so against the charecters in cannon that it was not as enjoyable

Yes, sometimes big changes in the characters can be so jarring that they distract. Three more, Lenora. :)

That was interesting thanks! I wholeheartedly agree with you about the coffee. That is exactly what I drink and I think I would die without it!

This is a very good story. Who would have thought there to be more than one Mr. Collins.

This is found at dwiggy.com and is by Sophie

message 2477: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments I am reading an unpublished story, Creep - all about an intense love/HATE relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth, who have grown up (modern world) as best friends...just like their fathers are best friends BUT in their teens due to misinterpreting something observed have turned to "hating" each other. It was recommended by others in JAFF when we met in NYC.

message 2481: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments I am loving it. The sex scenes are few so far but the one when they FINALLY get together is pretty hot. I am about 136 out of 193 pages in. Claudine sent me a copy but then I enlarged the font to read it.

message 2482: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments God bless her! I think Claudine is afraid to recommend any unpublished stories to me ever since she sent me a copy of Being Mrs. Darcy (which is another super-long one, as you might remember) and I was, shall we say, less than enthusiastic in my reaction to it!

message 2483: by Sheila (new)

Sheila Majczan (sheilalmajczan) | 700 comments But none of us agree on EVERY book. We have a right to opinions and must know that there are going to be ones others do not enjoy in the same manner. This one was written in 2010 so it has been around for a while.

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 623 comments Yeah, You didn't agree with me on a book and you still love me... um...rather I still love you... I meant to say. We're still speaking... aren't we... hello??

message 2485: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 277 comments In all honesty it would be a fairly boring group if we all loved the same books and if we were all afraid to say what we thought even if it is someone else's favourite. Of course if any of you knock my favs I'll never speak to you again ;)!

Haha! It's really interesting to see books I love that others don't and vice versa, but then see those same people have similar opinions about other books. There are probably some fascinating statistics in it all, but I'm too lazy to analyze them that far. ;-)

Liked this book. It differently looked closer to canon than most with a few changes that are surprising.
