A Place For Us to Talk, Talk, Talk!!!
Sorry you're not feeling too great, Karen. Hope you feel better soon!I think there's a virus making the rounds in general, because I know several people who've not been well lately; not just here in the UK, but also in the US and Canada. We had a virus last week, and Luna (our female degu) isn't well now. I think she's gotten a cold, but I don't know how it works for degus; can they catch people viruses? Anyway, Kero (Westie) and the degu boys are fine. We put a blanket over Luna's cage so all but the front is sheltered from any draft, so hopefully that will help her keep warm and get better quickly.
Not good!! My husband has the same thing. hope everyone gets better!!I started a crazy 90 day workout challenge and I am so sore. I can't sit... brush my hair or do anything for that matter =). but I know it's going to be good for me!!
Karen, I love to sleep in. I'm sorry you're not feeling to well. Feel better!Shauna, I applaud you for doing this workout challenge. All those pain will be nothing after a few more days. Keep on it! :)
Today, I woke up 15mins before my actual time for work. Once I realized how late it was, I stood up like the house was on fire! I was late for work for 30mins. :/
Thanks guys!
Well done, Shauna! The pain will be worth it! Keep it up!
Whoopsies, Dre! Nothing worse than that heart stopping moment of realization! Eep!

Aw, Karen, feel better soon! :)
Shauna, I'm sorry you're sore but great job!
And Dre, also very sorry you were late, I feel your pain, I hate being late!
Darryl's working on the hot water heater at the moment, he thinks it may be a quick fix. I hope so!

Ah, that sucks Dre, I hate being late, I get anxiety over it lol. Shauna that is amazing! What is even more rewarding is that you will see yourself getting less sore and fitter :)
I hate being late. This week I had a job interview and everything went wrong, I always plan everything really well and when something goes wrong I tend to panic. I got the wrong train, missed a few buses and then got lost. The road where the company should be located was a few kilometres long and I got stuck on the wrong end of the road and when I asked for directions two people send me in the wrong direction and the third finally pointed me to a bus station so I still could get to the job interview. I never get lost and I have a good sense of direction, so I felt even worse that this happened. I ended up being 30 minutes late for my job interview and then I was so rattled from the whole experience the interview didn't went as well as I hoped.
Oh, I'm so sorry Lola! That would have thrown me all off, too! :(
I had the weirest dreams last night, they were CRAZY! Talk about an overactive imagination! lol

I never updated you all, we got the water heater fixed on Friday. Thank goodness!
In other news, have I ever mentioned how much I HATE it when people interrupt me? Huge pet peeve of mine! And when hubby interrupts me to ask me a question I just gave the answer to a few minutes ago? Yeah. Not good! At least pretend to listen! lol

Ummmm... I take it you are tired of winter, Jenny?? Hahahhahha... I wish I could send some of our sunshine your way. You can come visit me ANY time you want! :)
Actually, its warming up!! Its sunny and a beautiful 36 degrees!! Feels wondeful outside! But, I completely agree with Rae!!
So I had the cutest experience today! Running errands with my goldendoodle Molly, I stopped in at Barnes and Nobles to check if a local magazine was out yet. (My company is featured as a top ten for 2014 and I want a copy, of course. It's not out yet. Boo.)
I never go to the magazine section. I usually head straight to the YA section. But of course today I went to the magazine section where to my surprise, there was an author signing. The signing wasn't unusual, but the fact that there were several dogs in the audience WAS. The fact that two were goldendoodles was another surprise!
Of course I was oohing and ahhing over the dogs and the signing was a cute book about a dog, Gibbs, and his best friend, Bijou - a goldendoodle! And both were there!! So I went out to the car and brought Molly in. To the Barnes and Noble!
We bought a book which the local author signed to both of us! The author was amazing. Molly even jumped on his lap to get extra hugs! Everyone fussed over her which she loved! And she befriended the stars of the book!
Then we wandered through the store as I had to check out the YA section! I had several people stop me to pet and love on Molly. Again which she loved!!
My 2 minute quick run into B&N took over an hour and I made a bunch of new friends! What a nice afternoon!

That sounds like an amazing experience Karen! And that's so fun there where dogs at a signing! What was the book called?
Oh, Karen, that story made me smile! I can't believe that B&N allowed dogs inside. I would totally pet Molly when I see her, too. :)
The book is called Note to Gibbs. I think he's just a local author and is doing this mainly for charity from what I'm gathering.

It's kind of a cartoon book so very quick and very cute. The author asked if I would post pictures of Molly with the book to his FB page so I'll post them here too when I do! :)

Gibbs and Bijou started playing and barking at each other! (They are best friends after all!) I bet the patrons on the other side of the store were mystified at hearing dogs in B&N! So cute! ;)

Aye aye aye. Today went to the post office to mail a bunch of stuff out, and realized my wallet was not in my purse! I took it out to order something online (needed C.C. #) and didn't put it back! So had to run home and look for it, took me forever to find it. Where was it? In my ART SUPPLIES?!!! WHAT??? Apparently I have art on the brain today! But its all good, went back to the post office and mailed everything. Luckily, I live only 3 blocks away!

Ok I just found this thread. What a great idea, Karen! I kept the flu bug which has turned into what I think is bronchitis - but I have a doctors appt next week. I live those serendipitous moments like your one at B&N - have fun at the Tucson festival - I am jealous. Jenny so glad you got the hot water heater fixed and cc found. And I can totally sympathize with the selective-hearing-husband.
Lola so sorry to hear about your bad day. Maybe it was a good thing and that job wasn't for you anyway? If they call you back you'll know they really really want you!
In other news, Ruins is just as good as expected and I am exhausted. Not sure why, except that I feel like I spent last week driving over half the country. Jenny and I are getting much better weather tho!
Well... the weather is finally being nice. Yippee. That's all. For now. But I just finished reviewing Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick though! ^_^
Tis on Goodreads and moi blog. o_o
the weather is beautiful today!!!
its supposed to be cheaply tomorrow and wed. but Thursday through the weekend looks great! I can't even express how happy my mood is today! I really missed the sun!!

I'm going to complain now. I hope no one minds. ^See above post^.
Now picture me making the most annoyed face ever.
IT SNOWED TODAY!! GRRRRRRRRRRR
It started out beautiful, sunny and a little chilly, but it was about 46 degrees F by noon. By the time I left for work, the temp had dropped to 30 degrees and it was SNOWING. Big, huge flakes. The snow we had had finally just melted!! This had better melt quick!!

You're so lucky though! it never ever snows in New Zealand, we have cyclone lusi right now and its just really windy and rainy and like 20 degrees :/The last time we had a storm the roof to my form class at school blew off..
I must have missed an update e-mail for this thread or something, because I ust noticed there are loads of posts since I was on it last... *Shrugs* Well, I'm here now!Regarding being late: I hate being late too, and will allow time for things to go wrong when possible so that I'm somewhere loads earlier than needed instead. I'd rather be waiting around for ages than be late!
Regarding Karen's Barnes And Noble experience: That's awesome! I bet Molly wishes every trip was like that one, LOL!
Regarding Shauna's workout: Good for you! How's that going?
Regarding Jenny's wallet: In the art supplies? LOL! Well, at least you hadn't lost it somewhere outside the home!
Regarding snow: I'm jealous! I want snow SO BADLY! We didn't get any this year where I am (some parts of the UK got a bit, but not my part).
Needing more Goodreads friends! Anyone want to be my friend? :)I'm a confessed book-a-holic, love YA books, dystopian, and historical fiction! I LOVE to read1
I love to read in general; enjoy writing too (the stack of books I've published proves that, I think, LOL!)
Victoria, you're welcome to have our snow lol. I'm tired of it, we just had another 6 inches yesterday

I'll go first!
So I woke up today exhausted and decided that it's been way too much work lately and not enough rest, so for the first time in months and months, maybe years, I took a sick day ( sort of). I slept until 11, worked for a couple of hours and decided it just wasn't happening! Went back to bed and by 4 had completely lost my voice! Urgh!!
Jen, did you give me your flu bug?? ;-P
