I saw this to Karen and they did pretty good with the movie although Koontz did threaten murder with a ball bat if they strayed. I did miss Elvis however oh and Ozzie and his cat. Hate that they had to cut that part out.

Oh, Jenn, I know how hard that is, having had to put my darling Nikki down after almost 15 years. It is amazing how hard it is to lose a pet like that and I feel for you. Take care of you.

Thank Donna , it's sad and I miss her. She had the best temperment . I held her while they gave her shot and I know it was the best thing to do I just wish they could live a lot longer

I know, I held my baby too while they gave her the shot. I know I wonder if I waited too long. Seems guilt goes with death. But yes, it was the right thing to do. You know when it is.

hi Maddie!!! I'm at work right now. its chili night at work. all my prep work is done, just letting the chili simmer right now. its BEAUTIFUL weather outside! I took a nice long walk over my lunch hour, felt great!

Another headline news day--what is up with schools these last few days! My heart goes out to everyone at that Pennsylvania high school.

This was the news that happened here--there was another riot this year at VEISHEA. The bad part is, officially the big events don't even happen till the weekend! They have cancelled VEISHEA for the rest of the week, which is a huge bummer for ISU.

VEISHEA is an annual celebration every year in April at ISU that started in 1922, before the college was even Iowa State. It stands for:

Veterinary Medicine
Engineering
Industrial Science
Home Economics
Agriculture

These were the main colleges at the time, and the name is just trademarked now. Its a really big deal around here, a huge celebration, but its also major party time for the kids--parties and drinking all week long, which contributes to riots and things. They've almost cancelled it for good numerous times.

It's about quarter past two in the morning, and I'm up eating nachos and checking posts and e-mails, with no plans for bed soon. Why? Because my sleep pattern is all mixed up again. Good thing I don't have to be up to go to work in the mornings!

So THAT's what happened! You had me worrying and wondering! I'm so sorry, Rose. I remember when they let me go at CDS, it was really hard...although I'd been there 6 years, not 12, so that's even worse! But I believe things happen for a reason. I am MUCH happier now at my new job, and there is so much that I have done since then that I probably wouldn't have if I was still working there! So its hard now, but I do believe you will better from this! :)

That's so true! I've found that even when I think everything is falling apart, sometimes things work out to be better than they were originally. It just takes some time and a different perspective, and things will look up soon!

Jenny: Mine often is; I rarely go more than a week sleeping on what could be considered a normal sleeping schedule. It's just that it sometimes bothers me, but other times doesn't, if you know what I mean.

Today it made it up to 81 degrees F!!! It was a beautiful day, until about a half hour ago when it decided to storm! But I love thunderstorms at night, if they are not too bad! So so wonderful, I wore SHORTS today!!!

Yes Jenny, they left out Elvis. There is one scene, I believe it is just one, that they show a large cardboard cut out of Elvis but that was it. I guess they couldn't show just bits of him or it wouldn't make sense. They only showed Ozzie once and he was a big part of the book. I really missed him to. I love Ozzie and his evil cat.

What a difference a day can make around here!!

So Saturday was 80 degrees and beautiful. Sunday was 40 degrees and it rained ALL DAY!! Today: woke up with snow on the ground and its 34 degrees! UGH
