Am I the only one who hates Annabeth?

Okay, so this is how I see it..Rick Riordan wanted to make his characters realistic right?? So, of course Annabeth won't be perfect she will have flaws..but so does everybody, I mean didn't Piper lie to like everyone so she could save her Dad? And thats another thing Lost Hero, if you think about, is kind of a replica of the Lightning Thief..Anyway, So if Annabeth was perfect she would seem fake so them nobody would really like her that much...So I think people should think about what they are saying first before they go and past it all over the internet.
Everyone has to mess up once in a while, and have flaws. Nobody's perfect.
I liked Magnus's character. He seems to be a good mix of percy and Jason, like he doesn't make sarcastic jokes like percy, but he isn't too structured like jason
I would just lie to say that I CANT STAND ANNABETH!!!! she is literally one of my least favourite characters in the whole book series, she is whiny, rude, judgemental, not that great, and her and Percy don't even have romantic chemistry, so all this percyabeth stuff should just end already because Percy could do soooooo much better, i actually liked him with calypso, or even Rachel, but NOT Annabeth, i think they should break up already, or he should cheat on her and break her heart, because she is the literal definition of annoying. and i know i will get hate for this, but i also know many people who agree with me, actually majority of the people i know agree with me
ok and to just add to my comment, every time she opens her mouth and speaks in the book i feel like punching her in the face to go away and shut up, because she is THAT annoying
I think she's very prideful and she's admitted that. Based on Percy's POV, she's not too terrible; it's when Rick had her in other people's POVs that her image veered off. Even in her POV she's still not that bad. I also think she can be one of those people in real life that do get misunderstood sometimes. You'll have to speculate a bit
I'm starting from the very beginning, the Lightning Thief, and every time Annabeth opens her mouth I want to strangle her. The whole, our parents don't get along so we can't, all Poseidon does is tear things apart, boys are so stupid, only I'm allowed to make ideas thing is driving me crazy! Ugh. I don't really see Percy with anyone else, but I'm excited to remember how she matures. I also have to remember I'm 23 and Annabeth in the beginning is only 12
Am I the only one that hates Annabeth just because all the fanfictions of her betraying Percy for another guy or was a spy for the enemy the whole time?

She had a very dark past and was attacked by a cyclops when she was seven years old. That's not exactly "no reason." Also, she liked Percy, and Rachel liked percy, so you can't expect her to be all chummy with her. And Rachel and Annabeth become friends afterwards. Not only did Rachel like Percy, but she was also Annabeth's polar opposite and she might have felt threatened. And OF COURSE she has flaws, but that just makes it more realistic, because who wants to read a book about a Mary Sue who is perfect at everything. So anyway, next time you decide to bash an amazing character, at least try to make your evidence concrete.
I love annabeth, she's smart, and frigging hot. BUT it's annoying how she always judges other characters- e.g Tyson, Rachel, and POOR BOB, am i the only one who clocked the instant mistrust. However i'd like to point out that this is kind of necessary. She's a child of Athena, caution is in her GENES, no battle strategist give's away their trust that easily. Also it's kind of her fatal flaw, her pride and the fact that sometimes she's quick to draw conclusions. Lets not forget how vengeful Athena can be, she's a war goddess and well Annabeth would wage a war for Percy. #sozrachel. Also Annabeth and Percy are two halves of a whole, Percy is open and trusting which makes him a great hero, but sadly we can't all afford to be like that.

No, that's not like hating the books. Hating Percy is like hating the books, Annabeth is just a puppy who follows Percy everywhere and did I miss Uncle Rick signing some parchment, passing a law with old, annoying orange (Trump) saying hating Annabeth Chase is illegal?
Annabeth is too bossy, rude, and is legit google. She is a puppy dog following Percy. Also, she calls Percy stupid which is offensive because Percy is actually smart and is conscious, unlike Annabeth who is ignorant to see that Percy can be smart and logical.
Lastly, she is desperate. How? She often showed signs of hatred towards Rachel because it seemed as if Percy and she were dating or liked each other. Like, she sounded annoyed when Rachel arrived at the war between Kronos and Percy.
I rest my case.
Also, Id choose Perlypso, Perachel, Perluke, or Percico over Percabeth.
Awww I like Annabeth. She's smart, she genuinely loves Percy, and she's brave enough to face a giant spider. She's amazing!
Geez this thread got pretty angry really quickly.In my opinion, Annabeth is pretty annoying and rude sometimes but I still like her. I don't really ship Percabeth because I personally think she and Percy don't fit well together and are better off as best friends.

All of you guys are missing the point. Remember throuhg out the book we have learned all the characters have flaws just like Annabeth has flaws about being wise. She think she knows it all. And ALL the other characters have flaws. Personally I like Annabeth, but I didn't like how Rick made a different in the 2nd series, but still I ship Perabeth

She's trying to keep Percy alive!! Also, she knows Percy is smart! To be fair, Percy does act a little immature though, but I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS!!
She is definitely not one of my most favorite characters. I like her for her resourcefulness, bravery and wit, but she is also cocky, rude, and judgmental.Not to mention she can be very rude and awful to Percy. When Hera messed with his mind, the first thing Annabeth does when she finds him is judo flip him for something that legit wasn't his fault. Like why.
I mean I can appreciate her for her good qualities, but I have the right to dislike her for her bad ones too.
Goodness gracious people if it wasn't for Anabeth Percy would have died in the first book and the titans would have came back and everything would be chaotic. So just stop please.

i ship percabeth, but to me i've never really seen what made them so special. They're not my favourite characters either. Why are percy and annabeth always freaking saints? just because we've seen their relationship develop more doesn't mean that the other ships don't have development either, we just didn't see it because it's kind of hard to do that to three different couples in just five books while maintaining the plot. It's not that i don't like percy and annabeth, its just that i don't like them any better than the other characters, i don't see why their ship is supposedly made out of gold, and i think they're SERIOUSLY overrated. another thing is that i'm really tired of everyone being in love with percy. I mean come on! Annabeth, Rachel, Calypso, Reyna, Nico - basically all the single girls that Percy has ever met who didn't join the Hunters and weren't already crushing on someone (Annabeth's crush on Luke excluded), plus Nico. Honestly if i met the seven in real life i'd probably like Hazel the best. And everyone saying "How could you hate Annabeth? She's amazing! You might as well be going against the laws of the books,", it's not so much that I hate Annabeth, or Percabeth, or Percy. It's more I hate the fact that they're untouchable, that they're so overly powerful, that they're so overrated and that their relationship - which is actually really rare to find in real life - is apparently now what every ship in the books has to be like.
I thought I was the only person to exist that hated Annabeth. I have my reasons.1. She was extremely rude and judgmental towards Rachel and Tyson throughout PJO
2. I can't get over the scene in The Mark of Athena when Annabeth is reunited with Percy. She flips him to the ground and says something like 'don't you dare leave me again.' First of all was it necessary to flip him? No. Second of all... not like he chose to be taken to a roman camp and have his memory wiped.
3. I know this is her fatal flaw, but sometimes Annabeth needs to realize that she isn't the greatest demigod to exist and it is OKAY to ask for help. Your friends don't care if you do and they are always willing to help.
4. She is wayyyy to defensive of Percy. He is his own person and you guys are already dating so if someone hits on Percy he's not about to leave you Annabeth.
So don't mind me I just can't stand the way the she would treat people. Especially Rachel as I stated. If your going to be defensive, why don't you step up and admit your feelings because Rachel is no mind reader, neither is Percy.
