That is so true XD

Except the time Percy and Annabeth fell asleep in the Pegasus stables XD

message 752: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus so what about the time when Percy could have let Annabeth slide into Tartarus but didnt??

message 753: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 09, 2015 03:10PM) (new)

He wouldn't have done that for any of his other friends? What a jerk.

message 754: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus Yes he actually would have he might nothave survived but he would have. his fatal flaw is that he is too loyal so he would

message 755: by [deleted user] (new)

Right, that's why I'm saying it doesn't count as proving his romantic love for Annabeth any more than kissing and cuddling.

message 756: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus Ok but Percy had this entire vision while he was at CJ about him and Annabeth at New Rome

message 757: by [deleted user] (new)

It's not just how you feel about someone.
It's also a decision even if your feelings change. And you don't have to constantly worship the person you're in love with and always think about how cute they are. That's all I'm saying. They acted fine before, I think Rick Riordan began to miss the point.

message 758: by [deleted user] (new)

... Ok lemme say this. They obviously still love each other because Annabeth still called him Seaweed Brain. And you could you just FEEL the connection between the two. You really could.

message 759: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus Even though she didn't know where Percy was she kept looking what do you call that?!

message 760: by [deleted user] (new)

LURVE...

message 761: by Olivia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Olivia Okay, Percabeth is my life, and you can hate what you hate, but just hear me out:

Annabeth is not mean or selfish. She is a girl who is proud to live the life that she's living and isn't afraid to judo-flip boys in the middle of a Roman courtyard. And the whole reason Percy and Annabeth escaped from Tartarus was BECAUSE OF HER! She never meant to come off too proud. If you guys hate Annabeth so much, I'm not sure why you don't hate Reyna, because the two are exactly alike--except for the fact that Reyna was raised a Roman and Annabeth was raised a Greek. Annabeth fights for her life, that's what she does.

The Seaweed Brain nickname was corny. That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. It's not all about giving cutesy nicknames and thinking about how cute each other are.

Annabeth wouldn't have kept looking for her other friends?

message 766: by [deleted user] (new)

Nice

message 767: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus Yes actually annabeth would have

message 768: by Magnus (new) - rated it 5 stars

Magnus And plus her looking for him means they do love each other

message 769: by [deleted user] (new)

KAPOOYA

Blogger Girl okay but this is literally a book for kids. Obviously Rick wasn't going to go further than sappy kisses

message 771: by [deleted user] (new)

IKR!!!

message 772: by [deleted user] (new)

Go farther?

He shouldn't have done anything. There was no point.

message 773: by [deleted user] (new)

I love spectating arguments :D

message 774: by [deleted user] (new)

I get if it was supposed to be corny, but he acts like it's super serious and important.

message 775: by [deleted user] (new)

No he doesn't. That would be the fan's doing.
BUT HE'S MAKING A SERIES WITH THEIR KIDS..

my reaction:::

Blogger Girl I don't know why SOME people (pointed look) come on various chats/threads to post unnecessary comments on THINGS/books/AUTHORS that irritate them. It's not like there isn't enough HATE in the world. What a waste of time

Blogger Girl Mgh101 wrote: "I love spectating arguments :D"

same

message 780: by [deleted user] (new)

That makes sense

message 781: by [deleted user] (new)

XD I DO!!!

message 782: by Vico (new) - rated it 4 stars

Vico Evans I hate that people say that if you hate Annabeth is like hating the books. It has nothing to do, we can have opinions too

message 783: by [deleted user] (new)

True

message 784: by [deleted user] (new)

Also true.

message 785: by [deleted user] (new)

I can object...
Annabeth had known the good side of Luke AND liked it! The reason she acted like that is because she didn't want to believe he was gone... She couldn't take it. If you don't remember it was him and Thalia who had found her and basically nurtured her for a while. That is only one reason why she didn't want to let Luke go. Another reason is because imagine.. you're eight. You ran away from home and you are battling monsters everyday, alone. An eight year old.. wandering the streets on the look out, alone. She ran away because her family didn't want her.. they all hated her because she attracted the monsters. So when she found Thalia and Luke, it was like the jackpot. Friends :D So when Thalia died... BECAUSE OF A CYCLOPS. So when all she had left was Luke... he was like her IDOL. The only thing left GOOD of her childhood. Imagine loosing that... like.. the best thing of your life may be your mom. What if you lost her? You gotta keep an open mind and just... THINK... just for a second and understand her.

Blogger Girl Prajakta wrote: "Annabeth is hypocrite and irritating. In sea of monsters, Luke tried to kill Percy infront of AC's eyes. In 'titans curse' Luke tried to kill Thalia and Percy both. Even when he tried to kill both,..."

I agree with some of what you said, not all, but some. I think.....making sure she wasn't perfect might've been Rick's plan. If she did all the right things like say, Hazel, then there wouldn't have been a side plot. And while Hazel is a good character, her drama with her power made her interesting. Annabeth doesn't have the luxury to rely on her power. It's just brains. So Rick had to make sure she was likeable enough to not get hated, but not so much that there wouldn't be drama with her. He certainly made sure there was a hate-love relationship between her and the audience

message 787: by [deleted user] (new)

I honestly... am like.. neutral with her. I don't like her, but I understand her actions. Therefore that makes me not hate her. It's an odd feeling. S:|

Blogger Girl the emoticon says otherwise

message 789: by [deleted user] (new)

...

duh. She was jealous of Rachel and I honestly don't think she hated Tyson for more than two books. idk why you guys keep bringing it up

message 791: by Rohan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rohan You are not alone....

Annabeth is totally useless

(except in the MArk of Athena)

message 792: by Maeve (last edited Mar 07, 2016 03:45PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Maeve Maher Okay Annabeth is amazing and anyone who says otherwise should go back and re-read the books. I don't know how anyone couldn't like her.

Maeve Maher Um besides that she extremely smart..She saved their lives many many times in 'The Battle Of The Labyrinth' and 'Mark Of Athena.'

message 796: by Rohan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rohan really? compared to the others, i don't think so

message 797: by Maeve (new) - rated it 5 stars

Maeve Maher Rohaninium wrote: "really? compared to the others, i don't think so"
Seriously! No! She has the best battle strategy out of all the seven, and in 'Sea of Monsters' she was the one who came up with the idea for the golden fleece, so you can thank her for saving Thalia and Grover. Athena was prophesied to be even more powerful then even Zeus, and because Annabeth is her daughter she is most likely even more powerful then Jason in ways. She is definitely the best female fighters out of the females in the seven, in 'The Last Olympian' Percy says how skilled someone must be to be an amazing knife fighter and Annabeth uses her knife not to mention that she is amazing with almost every other weapon because she has been training sense she was seven and actually has some talent unlike everyone else who gets their powers from their parent. I mean I love all of the seven, Percy is my favorite fiction character ever, I've grown up with him, but you can't say that Annabeth is useless because she is far, far, far from that.

but, in the House of Hades, she is totally useless in Tartarus because she loses all her power and even gives up hope. Its thanks to Percy that she is alive

Okay, I don't think you can completely blame her for giving up some hope.. and I wouldn't call her useless, I mean Percy would have lost his memory (again) or drown if she hadn't woken him up..And she did help fight if I remember correctly, oh and if it wasn't for her Percy wouldn't have know to drink the fire water stuff and he would have died and who found out how to turn Riptide into an actual pen, thats right Annabeth, Without her Percy would have died but at the same time without Percy she would have died.

message 800: by Maeve (new) - rated it 5 stars

Maeve Maher Oh and without Annabeth Percy would be insanely lost in Tartarus because Annabeth is amazing at mazes and confusing places.
