But, then, it's been awhile since I read it, and I didn't particularly like it, so there's no reason why I would remember it, really.

I agree about the filler. I feel like every book could be one hour episode instead of 2 45 minute ones...
I'm hoping that the one huge plot change means (view spoiler)

I do find it kind of boring and sloggy, though.
I'm a bit disappointed that (view spoiler)

And there are so many shows that look good, or people tell me I should check out, and there's just not enough time...
That said -
I got about halfway through Luke Cage, but I'm not feeling it. I liked Daredevil and Jessica Jones, though I liked the first seasons of Daredevil best, but the pacing of Luke Cage is so slow... and then I read a bunch of reviews that were saying how the first half of the show was the best half and the ending was disappointing, and I sort of lost interest in continuing.

Still looking forward to The Defenders, though.

I mean, i liked it. But still, it definitely ranks below JJ and S1 of DD. I hope Iron Fist is better.

It's sort of up in the air. With them being so busy, this might be the end... but they also said they're not opposed to coming back for a 5th season if the opportunity arises.
They did say if they come back it'll be back to just solving mysteries, and not these big season arcs and personal dramas.

I think A LOT of TV and book series need to learn this...

I enjoyed the first Season, and just started the second...
But the second episode of the second season is killing me, because it's entered "Let's have a character act completely out of character and be a random douche for no reason and let's revisit a romance thread which we'd laid to rest... because drama!" territory...
And now I'm annoyed and scared to continue.

I haven't yet, but my best friend loves it, and with there being a season three out soon/out recently (which I assume means people in general like it), I'm feeling like I should cave...

That said, I'm not 100% sure if I like the show... or if I just like Doc. :>

I watched Ep 1. Liked it alright but glad to hear that it gets better.

And it has some common issues like (view spoiler)
But I'm liking it, overall.

I've also been watching Broadchurch.
I heard so many great things about it... but I can't help feel a little underwhelmed. It's kind of overlong and ponderous, imo.
I think a big part of it is that half the fun of that show was watching it in real time and being able to speculate with friends about 'whodunit', and I'm missing that aspect of it.
Also, it doesn't help that I've been somewhat spoiled. I don't know who the killer is, but I do know that (view spoiler) , which makes things a bit more ho-hum for me.
The acting is good... but the mystery itself just hasn't quite pulled me in.

I have been watching a little of From Dusk Til Dawn, the series. And I've been mostly keeping up with Fear the Walking Dead. About halfway through American Gods...

American Gods was so good. They definitely diverged from the book by the end, but I like where they took it. It's definitely it's own thing, though...

Dusk til Dawn is good too. I am pleased so far with the actors they got for the Gecko brothers. Those are big shoes to fill but they're pretty good. I'm only about 4 episodes in, and I'm really wondering how they will stretch it out to 3 full seasons.

It's a good adaptation. Follows the main story pretty well, while streamlining it for television, but while still doing a decent job with the characters.

So anyways, Fuck Bran amiright?
GoT: (view spoiler)
I swear I'm just hate-watching now. It's sad.

I agree that the styles did change mid-show. But I don't think that's really why things have played out as they have. I honestly think D&D are just phoning it the fuck in these last few seasons. Watching the after show after the episodes where they talk about stuff is just... wtf? Like, Dany forgot...
God I'm pissed at this show...

No.. I don't stream CBS, but I would, if there was another show on the platform I was interested in too. Maybe I'll snag it when The Stand comes out and binge a bunch of stuff at once. LOL

I forget these things sometimes...
ANYWAYS... >_>
I watched the first episode and enjoyed it. It looks and feels right. Loads of nostalgia. And I'm down for the (view spoiler) style story.

Sounds like a good deal for yall. Someday I might worry about which streaming thing has which shows, but for now I'll just enjoy the high seas.
