Jeremy (darkk) | 52 comments I'm a huge fan of time travel stories in general, so "The Flash" is quickly climbing the ladder of favorite shows. I enjoy how the writers seem to be toying with the speculations and guesswork from the fanbase - especially when it comes to the characters of the Reverse Flash and Harrison Wells.

"Agents of SHIELD" and "Arrow" are kind of annoying, but I tend to enjoy them when I get to actually watching them. They've both got that odd quality where I kind of dread having to watch them due to the annoyance factor, but when I actually do I find myself enjoying them regardless.

message 653: by Ala (new)

Ala | 469 comments Yeah, theres a spinoff in the works. Several recurring characters from Arrow/Flash will be moved to it. A couple new ones too.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 103 comments Gosh.......I'm so lost here on the tv thread. ;)
It's books or movies for me.
Everything sounds so interesting.

message 655: by Nyssa (new)

Nyssa | 2023 comments Instead of reading, I spent Spring Break watching Scandal (Seasons 1-3), Agents of Shield (almost all of the first season) plus Captain America 2, and Hawaii Five-0 (Seasons 1 & 2), while grading papers.

message 656: by Ala (new)

Ala | 469 comments I need to catch up on Hawaii Five-0 this season. Keep forgetting about it.

Brenda, are you looking for some TV to watch? Anything in particular?

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 103 comments Actually, I will be. Course I go for fantasy a and sci-fi stuff, but only have antenna tv now.

But like I said, interesting to see some of my future choices.
Some I could get on dvd....but they are pricy, if I don't know what I am getting.
:)

message 659: by Ala (new)

Ala | 469 comments You could always go the Netflix or Amazon Prime route instead of cable or satellite. Tons of shows with full seasons worth of watching on those services.

message 660: by Ala (new)

Ala | 469 comments Didn't realize this until now, but Orphan Black Season 3 starts April 18th.

Thats how I get my tv fixes. We also have Hulu Plus, but I like Netflix the most. I kind of wish we'd continued the DVD service as well as the streaming, because there are some shows that are still DVD/Blu Ray only, but its still a good value without it.

Wish they'd get to his red suit though. Right now he looks like the mirror universe version of Iron Fist.

Ala | 469 comments Ive watched 6 episodes of Daredevil today. This was not planned. I had things to do, damnit.

message 675: by Roger Hawkins (new)

Roger Hawkins I love Vikings and Game of Thrones, but I was very surprised to find that 12 Monkeys was great too.

I want to check out Daredevil, how was it?

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments Bored today, couldn't get into a book, couldn't think of a movie I wanted to watch. Comcast has been pushing their "Watchathon Week" so I looked over some of the "stuff" I haven't been watching on cable. Started Penny Dreadful today...

I liked the 1st season of Penny Dreadful. It has a variety of characters.I'm looking forward to a 2nd season.:)

I watched the 1st two episodes of Daredevil today,I like it.:)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments I don't know. Mostly I'm a bit bored by Penny Dreadful, though the take on the "classic monsters" is interesting. I noted that they said the network decided to go with it as a drama.

As I said the soap opera aspect leaves me cold. Seems as though cable networks can't help doing the "see we can do nude scenes" and "see anyone may have sex with anyone else at any moment", thing. I wish they'd do a little more work on the plot. I mean think about it. I'm on episode 5 (and there are it turns out only 8) and the actual plot has moved very little.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments The last few episodes of Penny dreadful were better, I think. Early on it seemed to flounder a bit with not really knowing what it wanted to be. And I agree there was too much sex for the sake of it and the plot was draggy. It wrapped up well, though.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments Yeah, I finished it up. It did seem to pull itself together some. I'll probably pick it up when it comes back on.

message 682: by Ala (new)

Ala | 469 comments Finally finished Daredevil...

Gritty. Raw. Intimate. Completely opposite what Marvel is doing on the big screen and with Agents of SHIELD. And I fucking loved it. It was damn near perfect.

message 683: by Nyssa (new)

Nyssa | 2023 comments Hubby and I have watched the first 4 episodes of Daredevil. We like the story telling , but it's more gruesome than either of us expected. So we're probably going to watch 2 episodes at a time and take breaks in between.
I thing Vincent D'Onofrio just may be the perfect person for his part.

Me and hubby watched the first 4 episodes of Daredevil yesterday too, so when your (Nyssa) message came up in the feed I almost thought it was me having typed a message and forgotten all about it... Lol :)

Oh and she will always be Jessica to me as well...

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments We watched the first three episodes of DD. I think it's ok so far, but it's not really wowed me yet.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments ...okay fill me in. Never heard of DD series. Is it cable, Netflix, what?

Charlton (cw-z) Mike (the Paladin) wrote: "...okay fill me in. Never heard of DD series. Is it cable, Netflix, what?"

Daredevil,a new series on Netflix. I've only seen 4 episodes so far and I still think it's better than the Ben Affleck movie.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments ....the Weather Channel may be better than the Ben Affleck movie.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments We watched episodes 4 & 5 of Daredevil last night, and I think I'd say we're fully invested now.
