I'm with you Chris. Just started Season 2 of Arrow last night.
I do find it a bit frustrating that the main character is the worst actor on show, though. He can be bit forced and/or wooden. But, I still like the program overall.

I'm really enjoying "The Newsroom," myself - I like to think of it as "Schadenfreude, the Series." I fully recognize my occasional pettiness, but cherish the warmth of proverbially roasting enemies all the same.

I watched the first episode of Wayward Pines, but didn't get back to the rest of it. I guess it was close enough to the book that I didn't feel I needed to rehash it.

I would still suggest reading the books. They are different. In my opinion MUCH BETTER.
That show made me angry. The acting was WEAK! And they were well known actors. It's like they took little snippets from all the books, mixed with some of their own ideas, threw it in a blender and that show was the sub par result.

We watched Strange & Norrell this past week. I don't remember enough detail from the book, but Jer reckoned it followed pretty well. Now I'm sad it's over, and feel like a reread will be necessary at some point.

I have avoided this one cause I have the book but haven't read it.

I watched the first episode. Norrell is portrayed a little more "retiring" than I'd pictured him. I can see where the story will be a bit collapsed but they seem to be capturing it at least in the first show, I'll probably follow it up if it stays on "On Demand" long enough.

Watching The Forsyte Saga. Pretty epic adaptation. I haven't read the books. Interesting and infuriating twists of fate.

Finally watched S5 of Downton Abbey. I'd been putting it off 'cause I was less than enamoured with S4, but I enjoyed binging S5.

(view spoiler)[The Anna/Bates this is getting old, though I’m glad it didn’t dominate as much. I like them as a couple, but this whole murder investigation thing has got to end, and I’m annoyed that it looks like it’s continuing into the new season. It was also way too predictable.

I'm also getting tired of Mary's arc being about which dude she's gonna end up with, as well as Edith's perpetual woe. Glad Lord Grantham cottoned on to the kid being hers, though, and that he was surprisingly accepting of it.

I was glad Rose and Atticus got together, despite her horrid mother.

I was sad Isabelle and Lord Merton didn’t get together because of his horrid sons.

Mrs. Hughes and Carson are too cute!

I’m glad Grantham knows about Edith’s kid now, and he handled it remarkably well. Be curious to see what happens when Mary inevitably finds out.

I’ll miss Branson (Branton?) – but I kinda got tired of his storyline being so one note. Not his fault, the writer’s fault. And that teacher woman was horrid. It’s like, yes, you have a right to your politics, but be polite in someone else’s home FFS.

Lastly, it was interesting to see Barrow work on the “good side” for a change, putting that snobby butler in his place on the Christmas episode, but, of course, he always goes too far. It was kinda nice to knock Atticus’ dad down a peg, though. (hide spoiler)]


Also been watching S2 of Gotham. I'm enjoying the "Rise of the Villains" thing, and I'm interested in seeing where they go with it. I'm kinda wondering if (view spoiler)[the new villain guy who is bringing people together is meant to be some sort of R'as type guy... and I'm thinking they're heading in a Harley Quinn direction for Barbara, thoroughly changing that particular story, but I'm come to accept that this story is its own canon and just be done with it. After Viola Davis won an Emmy for it, we checked out "How To Get Away With Murder". Oh.My.God it is so good (particularly Viola Davis).

We also got hooked on "Ray Donovan", just finished season 3. Amazing stuff!

I'm being force fed:

- Limitless - Its ok but I still think the idea is more than a little stupid

- The Player - That thing on Wesley Snipes head is ALIVE. O_O

- Rosewood - While I love Morris Chestnut('s face), I hate the demeanor of the character he's playing. I have a very low threshold for smarmy characters. Sadly, TV is chock full of them. I want to pass but...

- Blindspot - OMFG. I DREAD this time of year. I'm not a big TV fan while hubby is. So Blindspot is the Romance Equivalent of OMGWTFBBQ. I don't even understand why they are giving this chick a gun. *facepalm*


I'm still avoiding Minority Report (Oh, God the acting!!!!) but I'm sure I'll be force fed some of that soon, too.

I've been recording Minority Report, but no time to watch. That bad? That might actually be a relief, since I'm trying to catch up on Agents of Shield and Arrow, and still want to binge watch Flash and Gotham until I'm caught up.

I neber got into Flash...been thinking of trying it again. Watching Big Bang tonight. This one's better than the last couple (especially the first show of the season). I'm laughing again.

S.H.I.E.L.D. seems to be going pretty good this season. I've been watching all the back episodes of Strike Back. Other than that not much I'm really into.

Holding out for the new season of Grimm at the end of the month.

I watched the first few and sort of faded away. I see the ads and keep thinking I'll try to get back to it but never do. I liked Arrow at first but then it became so "soap operay" I stopped watching it to.

May try Flash again if it's on On Demand.
