Had to look up the difference between an autobiography and a memoir. The differences are there but it's hard to find even one instance of an autobiography that I would like so if I ed up doing that section it'll probably be the closest thing to a memoir I can get. Any suggestions?

Does the Historical monopoly refer to historical fiction that takes place in each time period or a book published within that time period? Or either?I'm guessing since it's a genre challenge it's referring to historical fiction, but I'm just curious!
@Natalie- Awesome! You always do the most in each challenge I've seen so far.@Erika- For the Historical monopoly it could be either fiction or non-fiction so it would be set in that time but it doesn't have to be published in that time period if you don't want to go that route. Of course there won't be that much to choose from non-fiction except like Beowulf or something like that.
There are other sections where it would just be historical without the fiction: under Non-fiction and under Biographical (for ex. a biographical book could be on Catherine the Great which set in a certain time period and is not a fictional book). Hope that helps (:

@Daphne- It could go either way. Whichever you think best. Remember only one book per category so if you pick crime for that book you must pick a completely different book for mystery. Hope that helps!

Thanks. Taking on a lot of challenges inspires me to read more and gives me a direction of what to read. I also do tend to double/triple/etc. count books for different challenges. I think this is my last yearly challenge for next year. I've already committed to four.
@Natalie- There's actually still one more that you might like (: I'll end up going for six which is crazy. I never did any last year so hopefully these will motivate me to read more. Have fun with your challenges!
I want to try! I'll have to read some genres that I never do. This could open more doors for me. 1/4Young Adult

It's a subgenre challenge with a twist! This challenge uses a monopoly board, and each color is a different genre. Read the subgenre listed on each property--your goal is to get as many monopolies (all the subgenres listed for each color) as possible.
(Click to go to the full size version of the board.)
For example, if I were going for the suspense category, I would need to read one crime, one thriller, and one mystery book. A single book cannot count for multiple properties for this challenge--one book per category.
The max number you can go for is eight because there are eight possible monopolies on the board.
