Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments Thanks, I'm sending your back out soon, LOL.

This thing crashed again today but it generally reboots after a couple of tries. It just doesn't have any of the things I've saved.

Merry Christmas.

:)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I came across this link and thought of MrsJ, then thought others might like it: https://www.doesthedogdie.com/

Apparently they do all sorts of animals, not just dogs.

Just for movies, though, I think.

LOVE IT. All about that!

Someone Calculated How Much Money We've Fictionally Wasted Saving Matt Damon

message 3356: by Mike (the Paladin) (new)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments I think we should just stop allowing him to get into risky situations.

message 3357: by Chris , cookie guilt (new)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments They didn't even figure in the cost of the Bourne movies. I guess they wouldn't report secret black ops to the taxpayer though.

message 3358: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Well... aren't they trying to kill him in those movies though?

message 3359: by Chris , cookie guilt (new)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments Sure, but that isn't free either. LOL

message 3360: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Lol... true, but it's not in the scope of the article. They could have done a total cost analysis of Matt Damon which would be interesting though.

message 3361: by Chris , cookie guilt (new)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments That's true. I guess what they should have done there was just wait until Damon got himself into a perilous situation and held back funds.

A total cost analysis would be cool though.

message 3362: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Did anyone watch Interstellar? That was a definite waste of time and money. We saw it this past weekend...soooo confusing.

Nope. Not even sure I knew what it was, so I looked it up.

Is it one of those movies that tries to be "smart" and ends up just being convoluted instead?

message 3364: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I just heard that it's boring.

message 3365: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Colleen, yeah pretty much. It's also on the boring side too. A lot of info dumping combined with wtf-age.

message 3366: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes I'm hoping everyone who was expecting so received the bookmarks I sent out. If not, let me know. I know the ones I received were beautiful. Even if I'm currently using the cardboard part of a package of krazy-glue. :)

Some things never seem to change.

message 3367: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) LOL I got them, thanks!

message 3368: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, Bad Girls Deadlift (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I received one - from Becky. I know Sensei received a bounceback (that's called return mail, right??) for me.

:(

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments Have you gotten it yet MrsJ...I "re-sent" it?

message 3370: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Mine haven't gone out yet but, I did receive some awesome bookmarks.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments Mike (the Paladin) wrote: "Have you gotten it yet MrsJ...I "re-sent" it?"

Not as of today.

I'm starting to think that maybe a neighbor has been getting the mail and not giving it. It's happened before.

message 3372: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes Nothing from me MrsJoseph? Weird. I think I sent them out the week of December 20th. Even given holiday craziness it shouldn't take three weeks to get to the US.

Good old Canada Post. Keyword: old.

message 3373: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, Bad Girls Deadlift (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments Nope. Maybe I should contact my local post office

message 3374: by Elise (new)

Elise Kleuskens I have sent mine about a week before Christmas I think. But it's not uncommon for mail to take ages to cross the ocean!! So just be patient :)

message 3375: by Mike (the Paladin) (new)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments I forget how long it's been. Keep me posted if you haven't received it by next week maybe something a little odd.

I sent out one to all the names on the list we had.

message 3376: by Brenda ╰☆╮ (new)

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 103 comments The bookmarks sound great!

I find I'll use a bookmark for a while. but I get nervous of messing it up, so end up using a napkin.
:/

message 3377: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Elise, I'm not sure if you sent all of yours at the same time, but I got yours ages ago. I want to say at least 3 weeks ago.

message 3378: by Elise (new)

Elise Kleuskens Wow! That is surprising to hear, Becky. I should give the mailman a compliment next time I see him ;)

Not so long ago I sent out a letter in September, which arrived in the US in December.......

message 3379: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes So your mileage may vary is the story. I'm going to check the status I have at home again today. I think I've received 3, but need to verify and I am confident that Elise's was the third one.

message 3381: by Nyssa (last edited Jan 13, 2016 02:00PM) (new)

Nyssa | 2023 comments I think I received all that were sent (Thank You). Two came pretty early in December, a few came around Christmas and Mrs. Js came about a week or two ago.

I sent out 3 of the 6 (Mrs J., Elise, and Becky) about two or three weeks ago, but am waiting to find just the right ones for the other 3 (so no, I haven't forgotten you). I'm just late to the party as usual.

I'm just lazy. LOL. I have to send out "save-the-dates" and I'm condensing my trip to the Post Office because I love visiting them so much.

I'm pretty sure I did, but I need to double check. I have a memory like (what's worse than a seive?) for some things.

I found it 3 questions

I got horror too. I answered, on my couch, The Princess Bride and Pretzels (the cleanest of the snacks for reading.)

HomeInMyShoes Then I tried it four times randomly and got horror three more times and non-fiction once.

Lol on their scoring system. or maybe it is caching some stuff badly.

Interesting, I had chosen "In my Room", "The Princess Bride", and "Grapes".
