I do know what you mean. It's actually the group aspect we're dreading most about the prepackaged tour things. I'll take a gander into an agent, thanks. :>
I'm not that big a Star Wars fan.In other news, I now have Krusty, Marge and Maggie from the Lego Simpsons minifigures.

:-D
Book related randomness... Does anyone here have a series in which you give the overall series a higher rating than individual books?
Meaning, you might rate each individual book a 3, for instance, but for the series, overall, you'd give it a 4?
(This is related to but not quite the same as a series which might have a range of ratings, from 3 through 5, to which you give an overall 5.)

My beloved Belgaraid. I love the series but there are flaws in the individual books.
I've reviewed only 3 of them (out of 5).

I did that with Amber, Colleen. Well, the first Amber Chronicles, at least. I think I gave each book a 4 star rating, but then scored the omnibus with a 5. It's one of those things that really is more than the sum of its parts.

Old school travel/coming of age story by David Eddings. A favorite of mine but the book may be too outdated for you to enjoy right now.
The books/series I was thinking of that got me thinking about this is 'The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place' and the 'Glamourist Histories'.
I just found this recipe for burgers...I think I might have drooled just a bit...(view spoiler)
I totally think I want to make this now. MFP says it has about 886 calories per serving. O_O

Cold Fire Trilogy. The books (esp. the first) can be tedious and slow, even disorganized. But I really loved the overall trilogy story.
GR has dropped some of my notifications again...Good morning by the way. Been up all night, couldn't sleep.
That sucks, Mike. :( I had that issue last week and it was terrible. I'm conscious now, unfortunately, because I have a call for work. But I hope. HOPPPPPPE. it will be short and I can go back to bed after.
I'm going to try and stay up (I tend to fall asleep in the morning, especially after I take my blood pressure meds). I have a small group/Bible study at church tonight but after that if I'm up all day i hope I can sleep tonight.

Lol. I found one that I tried and really liked. A lot simpler, but crazy tasty. I can't think of how bad the sodium count would be.
Regular ground chuck burgers with just a bit of salt and pepper, topped with piquillo pepper sauce, manchego cheese and serrano ham. I had to substitute because I live in a backwater hicktown, but found some nice Asiago cheese prosciutto instead. When you assemble the burger, you brush the sesame buns with oil and grill them for a bit, mashing it all down a bit. SOOOO GOOOOD! I think I hallucinated a bit.

Off topic, but I wanted to share. Today I finished draft 1 of the book that may be good enough to actually, you know, edit and stuff! My eyes are buggy and I'm a bit bonky from trying to keep it all straight, but I feel quite proud. Now I need to tear it all to pieces in draft 2. Wish me luck! Hugs and cupcakes to all ;)
Congratulations. I have started and never finished so many "projects" that I'm in awe of anyone who can write from beginning to end. Even if nothing comes of it, it's quite an achievement, and you should be proud of yourself.
:)

Thanks, all!Ala, I would be more nervous about you reading it than Stephen King! Maybe after draft 2, if you're still interested? I'd love to hear some constructive criticism :)
But for now, I'm giving myself a week to READ!
Ok. I am in taste bud ecstasy here. Ecstasy!I found this recipe for a "Triple Smoke Burger" http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/foo...
Recipe here for in case the link is a problem: (view spoiler)
I decided to make it based on what I had in the fridge - so I subbed out the beef for ground turkey, I didn't have any avocado, I subbed a validia onion for the red onion, used the oil from cooking the bacon instead of EVOO and cooked it on the stove top. I also decided against pureeing the chipotle /mayo combo because...reasons, lol. And I added cheese.
OMG.
It was soooooo good! So good! It was juicy, delicious and oh, so freaking good!
Homeinmyshoes wrote: "Mmmmm...I lost my train of thought after the oil from cooking the bacon."lol.
I cooked the onions in it, too. It was such onion-y bacon-y goodness.
And I think it fit my macros.

To me it might as well read "Frankinberry" for all the connotation it has to building structure. But really it just looks like the two sides are unfinished and still covered in a sheet. LOL

Oh, yeah. He's a pretty big deal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_G...
He's no Frank Lloyd Wright but it's like...Sanderson for architects (in comparison to King).

FWIW, for a trip to India last year my friends and I contacted an agency, told them what we were interested in and let them craft a package for us (since none of the standard ones were quite what we wanted). It worked out quite well. The price included accommodation, internal airfares, ground transport, guides and tickets to the various attractions (we never had to stand in line except for security checks). We got to go to the places that really interested us and we didn't have the hassle of joining up with any other groups (which makes us sound terribly anti-social but hopefully you know what I mean, lol)
