I agree to a certain note and I don't support gays either but goodness I would never abandon a series just because of it. It shocked me and made me very sad but I wouldn't go to extremes and say "Horrifying". I still love Nico's character, just like I would still love my friend if they decided to be gay.

Oh King Arthur is a legend about King Arthur (my brothers name) and I know the part where he goes to an island called Avalon (my name). There's some kind of witch/sorceress woman named Morgan le Fay (also my sisters name) and he got his sword there I think. I know the sword is called Excalibur (also my brothers middle name). I don't know much my mother won't let me touch anything of hers that has to do with King Arthur xD

Well, at the moment, Clarisse is one of my favorte characters. even though she's a minor character, have you noticed she's been at least mentioned in all books except SoN? The point is, I hope she'll be mentioned during the battle. I'd like to see all the minors mentioned, in fact. :)

I like how Clarisse has a soft side. She can act really mean and rude but deep down she has a soft heart. That's one of the reasons why I like her. However, I'm really hoping that he'll bring Travis and Connor into the story, I really love those two.

Another thing that pissed me off with this book is when what's his name started to "defend" Nico after it was revealed that he has a "shine" towards Percy(still saying this was Rick trying to use an existing character's moods/personality and say they are gay, this would mean every moody/goth person is gay), this is so over used it gets me angry "person has a personal reveal, the former bully or self proclaimed boss starts to defend the person" cliche.

This whole book(at least near the ending) has so many personalities wrong or messed up. From all the books I read before Lord of The Winds would not have defended Nico. Mar's son after he found out? Leo after he found out? It matches their personality they joke around but when crap hits the fan they are there to help. Sir Wings? No does not match him.

What I think Rick was trying to do was have this "strong character" accept to show "if he can anyone can"

He messed up a bunch of people's Personality, also what was with the Gods showing up and giving their kids a pat on the back? "you've help stabilize my Godly Form".

Although it is usual near the ending of a story/series things get haywire because the Author is trying to fit as much as possible in. I think Rick is trying to tie everything together and is failing somewhat. It worked(to me at least) for the First Series, but now... maybe it's because I'm older? I'm seeing his faults? or maybe its because I read so many books that I am seeing similarities in them all and projecting?

Still gonna get the last book because I started the series and I will finish it.

Yeah, it always bothered me how everything fits too perfectly together.. It started to seem like Riordan was just trying to shove as many myths together as he could. But I agree, I've really just been focusing on everything that I love about the series and I think the characterization is definitely my favorite part about it all.

It does not bother me that Nico is gay. He is still one of my favorite characters . I love how supportive Jason is about it.But I dont think he will have a relationship with Percy or anyone,but I think he will die for Percy or Annabeth.P.S. I hate Cupid!

^^ Very true. If it was a big brother admiration or something like that then why would Eros try to make Nico admit his "brotherly admiration?" Eros is only concerned with love. He wouldn't have approached Nico at all if it wasn't love that Nico felt for Percy.
