I had every intention of finishing this book and never reading the next one but after finishing it I've decided I have just so I know why the characters were put through such torture and why I put myself through the torture of reading a series of books where the characters use words like 'klunk'.

Minho is not that bad, after all. His strategy of aiming high, so that he could still get the low was quite smart. I hadn't expected that smartness from HIM! (I know I'm sort of insulting him here! :P ) And, he's one sarcastic shank! I just love sarcasm BTW!

I'm having some doubts about Thomas's smartness. Minho and Thomas found this inscribed on a maze wall: World In Catastrophe, Killzone Department. It's so damn obvious that this is the full form of WICKED. I know I saw the movie already. But still, how can someone not guess this?! (hide spoiler)]

End of chapter-40 (view spoiler)[IDK why but I don't like Teresa much. She's the sort of character I'm indifferent towards. She lives or she dies, it's her business. I don't feel like I wouldn't give a shit if something happens to her.

And, IDK why but I also feel that Thomas and Teresa's relationship is too rushed. A bit of character development would have been appreciated here. (At least by me!) I know they probably were quite close to each other before being sent to the Glade. I also know that they are telepathic. And, being telepathic IS a sort of intimate connection. But, I still can't accept their relationship. (hide spoiler)]

End of chapter-50 (view spoiler)[These Grievers give me the creeps. They are taking one Glader at a time. First Gally, then Zart, then Adam. I wonder what the Grievers do to them. Kill them?

Thomas is being the cliché hero. Sacrificing himself to save others. But, I must compliment his bravery. I wouldn't have the guts to knowingly get stung by a Griever.

So, all the Gladers were named after scientists. That's cool! Alby=Albert Einstein, Newt= Issac Newton, Thomas=Thomas A. Edison. I have been thinking about the others and this is what I've come up with:
Gally=Galilieo
Teresa=Mother Teresa
Chuck=Charles Darwin
But, I was still at loss about who Minho could be named after. So, I Googled it and I found an interview of James Dashner where he says that his editor had asked him the same question. Dashner replied that since The Maze Runner series was set in the future and there would be many great scientists in the near future, so Minho was named as a tribute to a future scientist or whatever. But, another website that said that Minho was named after Dashner's niece's husband who was Korean.

P. S. I can't believe I'm curious about who the characters' were named after when I should be curious about the more significant things happening in the book. :-P (hide spoiler)]
