I'm Gillian, I'm new to the group and to Goodreads. I enjoy most genres and love reading new authors and discussing books I've read. I have set my reading challenge at 30 and hope to get some good ideas from the group.

I am excited to start reading the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for the first time this year, as well as the Maze Runner Trilogy. I also want to read Elizabeth Kostova's second book, The Swan Thieves as well as some of Arturo's other works as well.
Best of luck to everyone and their reading goals! Looking forward to interacting with you and learning more about everyone in the group! Noah

I'm from The Netherlands.
I hope to reach my goal this year again, by reading at least one book a month.
Happy reading everyone. And good luck for reaching your goal.

I have always been a mood reader. I don't make plans, I read whatever I want depending on my mood(mostly fiction, more precisely literary fiction, however there are gems in every category/genre and I'm trying to be eclectic). But this group looks very nice so I couldn't resist joining in.
I'm not going to make a very detailed plan(I'm not going to pick a book for every single task) because I know I won't stick to it. Every book I read leads to a new reading path and I love that. I hope to read more non-fiction,more poetry, more books by women, more books by people of color in 2015. I'll do my best to have an excellent reading year in terms of quality and quantity.
I'm not very goodreads savvy(I'm a new member and unfortunately didn't keep track of my past readings), still trying to figure out how everything works.
And English is not my first language, it has always been a challenge to me to express my thoughts in English, but hope to be an active participant!
Good Luck everyone!

I'm Pawel and luckily I didn't have problems with achieving 2014, 2013 and 2012 reading challenges. I joined this group to help myself with challenge to read more books in English(because mostly I read in Polish).
I wish you all good luck in 2015. :)

Tim (and everyone else), please feel free to ask any questions you have about Goodreads or how this group works. We are here to help!

I've found this a bit confusing but I think I have a "thread" and I've finally figured out how to add to my "favourites" shelf so that will have to hold me for now. I'll try to add a couple of reviews this week and then see what else I can learn to do here. Cheers!

I have not seen the challenge of I Spy but i do have a library that i get to every once in a while otherwise its through my kindle or ipad overdrive account that i use my library card through. havent really been on goodreads a whole lot lately except to look up an author and mark if i have read a book....

I'm looking forward to getting to know the other members.

Penny, checking out other people's choices in the monthly challenges is a great way of finding new authors!

I set my 2014 goal a little too lofty with 100 books....and finished 60 :) I think I spent more time chasing fun than I spent reading last year. I'm shooting for 75 books this year. I also have a horrible habit with reading about books to read... :)
Glad to be part of the group! Best to all of you in 2015.

This is how I feel about reading too!

Now, I'm in my last year of high school and i'm really eager to get back into it, so after years of searching for books and reviews on goodreads, I've finally decided to join and I couldn't be more excited.
I'm doing my first real reading challenge (2015 reading challenge of course) and I' glad I found this group. I've always stuck to YA fiction and fantasy, but I'm looking forward to expanding my palate. Great to meet you all :)
