For the time being that will only be a backup, not because I am worried about having shelves or reviews deleted in GRamazon (because I don't read the "literature" produced by the authors sending up all the stink over here), but because I suspect this is just the beginning of Amazon's plan to optimize GRamazon for its own greed. If my suspicions are realized, then I can close up shop here quickly.

I am just getting started over at booklikes. (It is still importing my multitude of books etc.) I do not plan on leaving goodreads at this time. I enjoy it too much. I mostly wanted to have a back-up plan. I will probably end up using both sites. Here is my link if anyone is interested.

Question: Is it possible to import books from Goodreads WITHOUT stripping yourself of all your books and shelves in Goodreads?

I've been with Goodreads for the past 3 years and I don't want to have to lose everything I have there.

I joined back in July and didn't have any problems. it didn't strip my books and shelves from goodreads. But I have seen a blogpost about something like that over at Booklikes. Why don't you email the booklikes customer service and ask them. They have been very prompt with their replies so far.
