Thank you so much :-) I'm such a dummy like that. I should have a bookshop website, I have had the name registered for about 6 years and never got round to working out how. One day.

Hope it help..."No problem, Michelle :) I was a rank amateur a few days ago too and with everyone's help I've managed to get a little place I'm really happy with. I've written a few little tutorials which are really basic but would have helped me no end when I started out. They're nothing like the smart people's tutorials but maybe they'll help someone find their feet over there :)
Very, very basic stuff and I'm not even sure if they're any good, lol. BUt they are what they are. Just trying to give back a little for all the help I found when I started.

When I moved from Shelfari to Goodreads, I had to input close to 2000 titles and I still haven't finished. I guess that's what you get for being a bookaholic. And while I am interested in partivcpating and unless we have a major blizzard which lasts months, I can't go through this again. Therefore my books will remain at Goodreads but I do plan on participating here fully.My name is Nancy and you may find me under nancyK18 as well.

Even if you don't do that, you should really have a csv file of your book list just in case anything is deleted or changed in the database. You are randomly assigned a bunch of followers when you sign up - you can unfollow them if you like.

I did the same thing - thought it was a daft idea, really.
I didn't get anyone assigned to me, only Dawid (the owner) and BookLikes blog, which was great.
I agree - that auto follow feature seems a bit silly because as Dawn said - none of those I "followed" were of any relevance to books I read'

Also, did anyone else not get all of their books imported? I'm only missing about 20 or so, but I haven't a clue as to what 20 they are, haha!

I got put on that crazy list, too! Even though I'm a such a small fry, but now I'm rolling with the big dogs, so it's kind of cool. :D Dawid is SO awesome for standing up for his site users. I love him already.
