LOL. And for the newbies, Randy is THE MAN who started and religiously updates the Freebies Kindle zombie book thread here. He has turned me on to a LOT of good (and free) reads (and a few that suck balls) LOL. :)

We'll send those authors some Garlic Sauce. Maybe it can even make lame writers cool. At least they'll have more time to themselves to proofread. :)

Shawn (shawnchesser) I'm Shawn Chesser, and this is my first visit to GR in quite some time. I'm a fan of the zombie/pa genre as well as an author who writes, so far, exclusively in the genre. I hope to have a little meaningful dialogue and perhaps make a friend or two in this group. I'd also like to thank David Forsyth for pointing this group out and inviting me.

Sue Edge (sue_edge) | 1 comments I'm Sue Edge, also a zombie author. I would love an excuse to read for once instead of writing!

message 77: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth (daidpforsyth) | 352 comments Well, I need to sign-off for the night. I think this thread is off to a fine start and I apologize for monopolizing it tonight. That was not my intent. Nevertheless, I am happy to have brought so many new members into the fold!

I'll be on the road for most of tomorrow, so I guess I will find out if I met Tammy's challenge when I get home. Either way, it was a pleasure to promote the Zombies group tonight.

Be sure to follow the feed on the Free Kindle Zombie Books thread. Randy and others post new ones daily and most of them are only Free for a short time. So be sure to read the newest posts first.

Goodnight and long live the undead genre!
David P. Forsyth

message 78: by Krisaundra (new)

Krisaundra (krimini) | 82 comments My Name is Krisaundra and I was introduced to this page by two people from a FB page I am on, one of them being David. I am not new anymore after a month or so, and so far I enjoy the books, comments and just the whole page overall. I bleed blue when it comes to my current favourite Indie author which may be enough to tell many, and if you still do not know I am more than happy to share...lol. I am so loving being involved with pages where I can not only find much needed escapes thru fantastic authors, but I think I love even more the chance to get to hear from the authors sometimes and get the occasional insights into how they tick.. If you haven't come across me yet, I'm sure you will as I have way too much time on my hands and as a result post on enough pages to get away with a one word name at this point... One of my top five Bucket List Dreams! LMAO as I can not even say that without screwing up my typing. Oh, and I use a talk to type program so if it screws up I apologize in advance for technology, but without out it I would not be able to interact so I guess it is better than nothing!

message 79: by Krisaundra (new)

Krisaundra (krimini) | 82 comments BTW, apparently I go off on tangents quite easily and talk way too much... oh well, somethings are the same in real life and in the computer world... ♥

message 83: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 1 comments I'm a floater. I'm not new to goodreads, but I don't usually post anything. I do however post frequently at "Free Horror eBooks". So this is for you David. I want you to reach and exceed your 40 individual posts :)
I love zombie books, but my ultimate favorite is Apocalypse type books. My favorite read is still "Swan Song", even after all these years.

message 84: by David (new)

David (tabatt13) | 1 comments I'm David long time lover of zombies since I first saw Night of the Living Dead back in the early 70's. I've been actively seeking out anything one the subject since. Although I'm an active reader I don't know how often I'll be able to participate in this group. Due to the nature of my job I'm mostly on mobile devices and rarely on a real computer. Unfortunately the GoodReads mobile app is so crippled it's practically useless. It's really a shame since it's owned by Amazon and the Kindle app is so good. You'd figure they'd try a little harder to add features. Anyway I promise to try and keep up with everyone. :)

message 85: by Netanella (new)

Netanella | 2108 comments I'm Netanella and live in the swamps of Florida. Not new here, and love the free Zombie posts, which is my go-to site after long hours at work. East Coast morning here...did we hit 40 yet, Tammy?

message 86: by J. (new)

J. Michel (JCornellMichel) | 24 comments I'm new to this group, and I also love the Free Kindle books thread. I just published my first zombie book in May, and I've had a blast interacting with other authors and readers. I live in Maryland, work in D.C., and I travel just about every other weekend (I'm looking for the perfect place to settle down after the zombies invade).

I'm getting ready to move houses this weekend into a co-workers house because they are moving to the Black Hills next week. I've tried to let her know it is not all bad. Great place if you love the outdoors and want a small town feel.

I love the Voyage of the Dead and all of the series. An awesome story to read and reread, yep have read all of them at least twice! I am from Connecticut and just go crazy for anything Zombie.

message 95: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth (daidpforsyth) | 352 comments Thanks to all my friends, fellow authors and genre fans who turned up here! I see the thread has hit 48 unique views. If everyone posted, I should have made the quota set by Tammy! Coincidentally, the total number of group members is now 2048! That's an increase of about 40 overnight. But don't stop there. Tell all your undead friends to join the Zombies group too.

Let's use this thread for introductions, chat, and general dialogue about the genre, as well as reactions to books, etc... Hopefully the new blood will also reanimate some of the other 2,000 members who have been lurking of late. :)
