Don't I know it, Felicia! Just so the rest of you know, Felicia A Sullivan is THE editor of choice for the Zombie genre. If you are looking for a reading list of well edited zombie books, start with: http://indie-editor.webs.com/booksiha...
In fact, she edited three of my books this year! I have no idea how she has time to do anything else. :)

BTW Travist, I opened my first e-mail account in 2010. Never spent any time on a computer before then. Now I have a few FB pages, a Twitter account, a web site, Goodreads and a couple of similar sites, and I just started writing for an e-zine. It took me a while and I'm still learning, but it's not too hard once you get into a routine and stop sleeping ;)
I'm Jim and one of your friendly neighborhood moderators. Currently living in Ohio for hopefully only another year then on to somewhere else.

To borrow and modify the song from Month Python
I am not zed yet!
ROBIN (spoken): Bring out your zed! Bring out your Zed!
LANCE (spoken): Here's one.
DAD (spoken): I'm not Zed!
ROBIN (spoken): Here, he says he's not Zed!
LANCE (spoken): Yes he is.
DAD (spoken): I feel happy. I feel happy. (sung) I am not Zed yet I can dance and I can sing I am not Zed yet I can do the Highland Fling
I am not Zed yet No need to go to bed No need to call the doctor Cause I'm not yet Zed.
BODIES: He is not yet Zed That's what the geezer said No, he's not yet Zed That man is off his head
He is not yet Zed So put him back in bed Keep him off the cart because he's not yet Zed. ...

Jim, I hope I didn't overstep by starting this thread. :) Wasn't sure if there even was a moderator of the group! LOL.
And Tammy, what is your favorite color? ;)

England is one of my preferred places to move next summer along with Germany or Italy."
I was in Italy and Ireland a few months ago. Loved it. Now it's back to working on my next book in Malibu. Darn it.

I love the Free Kindle Zombie Book thread that Randy started here. It is one of the few thread feeds that I click on almost very day.

David that's ten and there are some newly awakened in there, cool!
As for my favorite color, Orange.
Ok I'll ask the next question of anyone who will bite.
What is the longest book that you can recall reading?
Edit two more posted while I was typing. Hi pleasure and Steven

And yes this thread is an everyday stop :o)

I would have said The Stand too, but Amanda beat me too it. Then I remembered that Lord of the Rings was written as a single book and then split into a trilogy by the publisher. The Foundation series is also a contender. How about this one: what is the longest SERIES you recall reading? ;)

I also read that one. I broke it's spine and ended up carrying it around in two pieces. It was in such sad shape when I finally got through it.

Hmmm... I think he said "zombie book or movie"... But glad to see that you appreciate the classics too. I think books about war and zombies have a lot in common. It's just easier to desensitize the violence when the "enemy" is already dead. But Scarlet O'Hara wasn't that different than a woman hiding out on a farm during the Zompoc. :)

The longest book I’ve ever read was Resurrection: Zombie Epic by Tim Curran that was 666 pages which was fitting considering it was the most evil thing I have ever read.

If you can get to 40 (different) group members posting a comment on this thread before tomorrow morning (west coast time).
I will start a buddy read in this group for your book Voyage of the Dead even if I do not get any other takers and end up doing it myself, and I will post my review on Amazon. (Remember, I do not give fluff reviews.)
It's not much but it's what I have to offer.
Here is my amazon profile:

Are you up for the challenge?

I would totally join the group to read it!

Just back from dinner and ready to take up the gauntlet! Please set the deadline as 11:59am PDT (that's still morning here). LOL. I already sent out some feelers. Let's see if I can pull out the heavy artillery! ;)

That is 40 different members, starting from post one, counting you and me. Deal?

Deal :)

Thanks, Pleasure. You made my day (if you are liking the book). LOL. Cheers and welcome aboard.

Yay! I almost missed that post, Travist. Tammy got me into another necromancer ceremony. ;)

Thanks, Heather! Feel free to jump into the mix.

Thanks, Dan. I voted for your book in the Group Read Poll and want to read your series too!

no e-readers at this point - pondering"
Double welcome to the group Tony! Some people still like to kill trees. Not a problem. LOL. And you can download a FREE Kindle app to any PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone too.

I'm from California and I joined this group last year after I wrote my first zombie book. I've made some friends here and really enjoy the thread that lists "Free Kindle Books About Zombies." It's become my favorite source for filling my Kindle and Cloud with freebies!
I'd like to help attract more members to the group, so if you are one of them, give a shout out! LOL. Let's make this a fun and active genre group.
