March looks good to me as well. I've got nothing scheduled between Half the World on Feb 17th and Skull Throne on March 31st (except for reading books 1-3 of the Demon Cycle!)

Ok so from the currently reading thread. Who is interested in a group read of the Dagger and Coin series by Abraham? I think it would make the most sense reading 1 per month starting in April so it would end with the last books release in August.
I just did that last year (where was all this interest then!?) but I would maybe jump in to some of the discussion.
Of course everyone probably knows by now just how bad my memory is, so not sure how much I'd contribute until the book 5 discussion. lol.

i have read the first book, so i would join in on the second book. it will help make sure i will do them.

Rob - do you plan on reading The Rebirths of Tao when it comes out? I don't know if there's enough interest to read it as a group or not but thought I'd ask.

Not read any of them yet. Based on my tastes being the same as most people in this group - looks like i am missing out. Will see if i can add them to my list for later on in the year and check the discussion threads then.
Alex wrote: "OK! All the Abraham books have now been added with a March 16th start. We'll do once a month and finish up right in time for the 5th book in August."Sounds good.
Also I think we could reading Elizabeth Bear in the summer. Would that be fine or work with everyone?
Liar's Key is already there. I'll add Queen of Fire. I thought I already had..
And I do want to read Elizabeth Bear still, but it will depend on when in the summer for me. There are already a bunch of books on my schedule. Queen of Fire, Nemesis Games, Fool's Quest, The Spider's War, The Price of Valour.
Probably some others I'm forgetting. Either July especially will be busy.
Maybe fall would be better? Spring got snatched up by Dagger & Coin..

Yeah, really should have checked about a week and half or suggest it to read it in the spring in the first place.I guess we can read Bear in the fall, if that is fine with you Rob.
Hey you all can read it whenever you want. Don't feel like you need my permission...
I'm not doing the Dagger & Coin read, and could probably fit it in the spring, but if we do that people who are doing D&C may not have enough time to do both reads..

I say Bear could be an alternative pick for the Spring for those who wants to read can and join in on the discussion, especially wanting it to be a hnoo nomination.
D&C 1 is scheduled for 3/16, with each book roughly 1 month later.
We could maybe schedule Range of Ghosts for March 1st. Then do Shattered Pillars March 29th and Steles of the Sky May 2nd or so. That's roughly 1 month between each book and hopefully gives everyone a week or two to read other stuff already on the schedule.
Previously we had interest from:
Kevin
Rob
Alex
Kaleb
Sky2
Kat
Mark (for book 2)
So hopefully those folks can weigh in. I'm not sure how many of them were doing D&C. I think at least Sky2 and Alex.

And therefore out on Eternal Sky? Or in for both?
Mainly I'm trying to see if the proposed dates work for people. In your case it's mostly the dates for books 2/3 of Eternal Sky.

I might join in depending on what else I have going on. Get overwhelmed sometimes when I have to stick to a reading schedule too much.

Can do both, and I am very interested in grace of kings as well.
I started reading The Demon Cycle w/ book 1 The Warded Man in preparation for book 4 The Skull Throne which releases March 31st. I am loving the book - so far it's got all the elements of training/school I am a sucker for.
Anywhoo, I know we are swamped with group reads but am wondering if anyone else who hasn't read the first 3 books yet is interested in doing a quick read along with me. There was interest in doing a group read of the Skull Throne but nobody stepped in to lead the discussion yet.
I plan to finish The Warded Man this month, read The Desert Spear in Feb, and The Daylight War in beginning of March. Anyone else interested? All 3 books or any of the remaing two you've yet to read.
I read the first two in the series awhile ago - it would be fun to continue on with a discussion added!
I own the first one, and plan to read it eventually..but I'm pretty much full up on group reads through the fall at this point.
If some of you want to do/discuss those books though I can create a section for you.

Thanks Rob, that would be cool. I am reading the books anyways, and there was interest in book 4 from the group, so even if I am the only one posting we can just leave my comments there for posterity/until others in the future get around to it :) Suzanne will hopefully jump in w/ comments and join me for book 3!
Alright. It's there, but I didn't add it to the bookshelf or anything. I can always do that retroactively like I did with Bill's "Renegade" Emperor's Blades read.
Where can I find it? I don't see it when I browse and a search for Demon Cycle didnt turn anything up. Thanks again!
It won't show up until you create a thread it in.
Make a new thread and select it from the drop down. It should be the 4th from the top (counting the "none"/general section)

I might just do a read of The Daylight War since I dnf the book as I read through the series last year.
