I'm curious what everyone else here reads in addition to Laurell K Hamilton. I read a lot of PNR but I also have a few mystery series that I've stuck with for 10 years or more.

I will have to check out some of your suggestions. I love the Fever series and I have read Keri Arthur and Kelley Armstrong but I am not familiar with the other authors.
Jeanienne Frost Night Huntress, Night Huntress World and Night Prince series (Bones and Vlad have been known to make me burst out laughing leading my son to believe I have lost my mind). Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Stacia Kane for the darker side. Lora Leigh Breeds series. Dianna Duvall Immortal Guardian series. Darynda Jones Charley Davidson series and Christopher Farnsworth has a really good series non-typical vampire series called The President's Vampire that is very well written.
There are some relatively new authors in this list, but I think they are all wonderful. If you haven't tried these, I highly recommend them. Some (first group) are urban fantasy, where it follows one main character across all the books. Some (second group) are more Parnormal Romance where you have a couple that come together with each bookMerry Gentry by LKH

Cyn reminds me of Anita. Both can take care of themselves, work in a male dominated profession, and end up with a master vamp

I don't know if anyone else got the same vibe, but Sarah J. Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses really reminded me of LKH's Merry Gentry series. They're both about faeries, but the worlds just seemed really similar to me with the Spring Court/Seelie and Night Court/Unseelie. Also, Rhysand is the closest I've ever seen to a fae version of Jean-Claude.
