Hidden Mickey- literally have it open and reading as I type. :) It's getting better than when I started. I'm about halfway through and I'm getting more used to the story and it has picked up a bit. I also enjoy learning facts and tidbits of the history of Disney and Walt himself. :)Hidden Mickey
Haha good question-I was in a hurry. They are both really good so far, especially The Picture of Dorian Gray. It is so well written! I'm not very far in the other one yet.
Now I'm reading
-which is disturbing...,
-which is actually very interesting and I'm enjoying it, despite thinking it would be boring, and listening to
which is great. :D

American Psycho does sound disturbing. I've meaning to read Frankenstein so you'll have to tell me what you think when you're finished and I don't think I've ever heard of Everbound..
I like the group rule too haha. It pretty much sums up every group rules we could possibly have.
Yippee!! I'm finally done with that darned book! 'Hidden Mickey' My overall impression? I didn't like it. Sure, learning about some of the trivia was fun, but that was really about it. It was supposed to be kind of a mystery as it takes you on a treasure hunt, but it was lacking. I could easily stop in the middle of anywhere in the book and be fine with not going back to it for days when a good book will keep me reading far longer than I should and I can't put it down. Also, these characters were idiots. Far too often, I would call the answer to "the clue" well before they would and yet they're supposed to be these big Disney Buffs. Not very good character development. And their "mission" went far too uninterrupted, sure, there were a few close calls, but then they were "safe". Boring. There was one twist that I didn't see coming, but it was short-lived. I often found myself skimming through paragraphs and counting pages 'til the next chapter, feeling like it would never end. It also left a few loose ends, which bothers me. It doesn't feel like it really ended. Not so much like a cliff hanger, just that it just didn't end. To top it off, I spotted many grammar errors in the book. All in all, I couldn't wait to get this book over with. Disappointing.

Awww, I'm glad you're done with it. So no sequel? Lol.

If I can find the second one on audio book, I MIGHT give it a slight chance to see if it can redeem itself, but I'm not going to attempt to read another, no.

Yeah, they don't even have the first on audio yet.

All right. I've just finished The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore. It was definitely better than Hidden Mickey! ;) As far as Young Adult mysteries go, I guess this was pretty good. It was definitely plenty descriptive. It was like you were right there with them. However, there's something about it that I didn't quite like, but I can't really put my finger on it.. When I finished, my reaction was kind of like a "Huh, OK." and that was it. It was an OK book to read once. Entertaining enough, but I wouldn't read it again. I am now starting

You got through that one fast. :) Glad you liked it better than Hidden Mickey.
I just finished
and I enjoyed it-it definitely exceeded my expectations since it was free on my kindle. I feel like paranormal/dystopian books are very hit or miss for me. Many worlds are so much fun to read about yet some are boring or not described well. I was glad that this book was good at keeping my interest.

Amy wrote: "If I can find the second one on audio book, I MIGHT give it a slight chance to see if it can redeem itself, but I'm not going to attempt to read another, no."Well, if you decide you want to read the second one, I have about a dozen copies I need to get rid of. Just saying. :)

I'm going to have to look for this one. It seems interesting.

...Wow! This book,
, really makes you think and messes with your emotions. It was really well written and very descriptive. It was believable and very easy to picture everything that was going on and share in the character's feelings. I couldn't put it down and I was very satisfied with the ending. Great book!

I agree 100%! I had a really hard time knowing how to feel about the captor... I knew logically that he's a bad guy and blah blah blah but I couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

Right now I'm reading
and
. Both are good so far but I'm not far into either. I'm also listening to Ender's Game. I think I would like it more if I was reading it. I don't like the narrator much.

Right now I'm still getting through
and while I like it, it's taking me a while. I'm also reading
(which I'm enjoying so far, it's a book of the month in another group I'm in),
(which I just started and am really enjoying), and I'm rereading
. I started rereading Divergent this morning because the next book comes out in October so I figure I should start rereading the series now. I can't stop reading it; I forgot how much I love this book. October is taking forever!
