It looks a lot like the Paranormal Activity movies.
There was definitely shades of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY present in THE CONJURING, but I suppose that would be the case with any haunted house movie. If you loved THE CONJURING and have never seen INSIDIOUS, i encourage that you do so as soon as possible. In the dark. Alone, perhaps...

the paperback cost about 15 dollars, but the hardback cost 56 dollars. And Jo Nesbø's new books does that too (but let's wait until they are on sale for 8 dollars). The reason it's so expencive is because we have taxes on absolutely EVERYTHING.

They really stick it to you on the hardcovers. Unreal.
I know, but it's not really that expensive. For comparison, I pay the same for a shirt or a pair of shorts at a medium priced store.
I actually got up early this morning and have been working on a project for Adam which I hope to finish today or tomorrow. Would like to get a lot of reading in today since I don't have any plans other than to visit my newest grandchild and a sick friend at the hospital. Fingers crossed.
Everybody have a great day! I woke up sore and stiff from painting yesterday (all those little muscles you normally don't use, you know?) Enjoyed reading Picirilli's A CHOIR OF ILL CHILDREN late last night. Heading off to the flea market with the three boys (9, 11, and 13) to try to score a used XBOX 360 steering wheel since they've really gotten into racing games lately (along with reading David Lubar's collections short scary stories for kids, highly recommended if you've got young'ns). Then two more bedrooms await a fresh coat of paint.Happy Sunday, everybody!
Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you Evans. Enjoy the day out with the boys!
I awoke early with intentions of doing the lawn before the ghastly humidity sucked the life out of the air. I tripped and fell onto a perfectly placed pillow on the couch and found myself reading. Ah... happy little accidents. Gotta love 'em. Cindy, glad to hearthem you are still in to the project. I fear you will hate it, but perhaps not. I can't wait to find out either way. Have a great day everyone.
Adam - check your email :) And I didn't hate it. Loved it!
I didn't actually make any changes Adam, just highlighted and made some comments.
ok. that explains a lot! I have a bunch of work around the house but I will be getting to this later today. Thank you for all your hard work!
I need to start walking again. I felt so much better when I got more exercise. Also, I could stand to lose about 30 pounds.
We don't even want to talk about multi-tasking Tony. Today is the first really productive day I've seen in a long time.
Tony wrote: "Oh, yes the sunny weather here in the UK hasn't helped me either :-p First tan I've had in over five years lol"It's 12 degrees celcius and raining here. It's the most horrible summer in about forever. And Norway tend to have horrible summers. And when I was in London a month ago, it was raining there too. Rain everywhere. So don't you complain about the hot weather.
I would love to see some colder weather right about now Lina. We are in the middle of a heat wave. Wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the humidity.
I saw it. Thanks Tony, and yes, I do indeed have it. I put it on my "next" list. Currently reading five, so I'm not starting anymore for a couple of days or so. Thanks again!

i live so far up in the country that the floods wouldn't bother me. I would gladly change the rain for the heat.
Just finished yard work and right in time. It started storming like the wrath of God was descending upon me. So much for a dip in the pool. Looks like a nice bath and then editing time.

It is pretty, but it's cold. And windy. And small.
6:12 p.m. and I have been online since 7:30 this morning. Taking a few hours break to spend time with family. I will check back in before going to bed. Hope everyone is enjoying their reads!
Like the rest of the country, it seems, we're in the middle of a heatwave here, so I've been puttering. I thought I'd be able to read all day, but that was severely limited. However, I did: set up a new bed, set up wireless so I could use my tablet and watch netflix on television, and I fixed my toilet. I have turned into a regular handyman! Now I'm going to start reading!
I was just trying to add MISTER SLAUGHTER to my currently reading folder but it would appear the search feature for GR is currently down. It wouldn't find any book I put in there. Weird.
I've now descended into the third level of painting hell...trimming along the ceiling. Forgetting why this seemed like a good idea earlier...

Not all bad. Looks great now that it's finished! Settling in for my buddy read on A CHOIR OF ILL CHILDREN, then catch new True Blood with the wife if I can keep my eyes open. Have a great night everybody.
DVR, Evans, DVR. That's the answer to staying awake for True Blood when you're really tired! Love my DVR?
Here it's 12.14 p.m and I just woke up! Woo! Off to do some reading and drinking a bucketload of coffee (too much wine yesterday).
What a dreary, rainy day here in Ohio. Got some reading done earlier this morning. Was reading Lady by Thomas Tryon. If u have ever read Boys Life, you would like Lady. Right now just hanging with my boys who continually try to beat each other up. Such is life!

Thinking about how to go about getting my reading straightened out. I have a lot books going I need to finish, but that never seems to stop me from starting more. It's all the killer books I keep hearing about. :)
I'm doing the same thing Chuck. I don't have eight going, but with the little spare time I have on my hands, five is more than enough.
Cindy wrote: "I'm doing the same thing Chuck. I don't have eight going, but with the little spare time I have on my hands, five is more than enough."I bet, Cindy. I bet you've been even busier since starting this group. It's growing really fast, too.
Yes, it is! Lovin it! Just attempting to provide a group that is appealing to many. Constantly looking for ways to improve. It's getting there thanks to the feedback I receive and the participation from group members.
4:50 p.m. Got home from work, took a shower, made two phone calls, made coffee, watched T.V. for about five minutes to see all the celebration regarding the birth of the royal baby, caught up on all unread posts, and now I'm tired *sigh*. That's OK, let me get a cup or two of coffee in me. That should get the party started! Plan to read some, cook dinner, take some naproxin or something for this damn arthritis, get a bit of reading in, and then see if I've passed out yet.

I know how dealing with pain is: I broke my back last year and it's really been acting up on me the past couple of days. I almost resorted to a handful of hydrocodone earlier but settled for Tylenol.
Yea, I've got it in my hip and both knees. Think the hip hurts worse. Woke me up several times last night. Oh well, took my prescribed 500mg Naproxen. We'll see what happens. Sorry to hear about your back Chuck. I couldn't begin to imagine what it would feel like to still have pain a year after an injury like that.
8:00 p.m. and I think I'm gonna take a break for a little while so I can watch an episode or two of Star Trek Enterprise with my honey. Would like to be in bed by 11:00 p.m. tonight. Must stop sitting up until 12:30 or 1. Doesn't work too well when you get up at 5:30. Will check back in a little bit.

Hey, wait. If I am on here and not WATCHING the show with her, maybe my plan isn't working.
Just finished Endurance earlier and still thinking about what book I am going to read next; there are so many promising ones at hand, now.
