Before I catch any slack for this - I realize this isn't necessarily the proper place to post something like this, but I am quickly running out of options.

If any of you know someone in the Louisville, Ky area who would be willing to take in a 7 month old kitten that has been left behind after a fire, please send me a message. All the no-kill shelters here have waiting lists and there is a bad winter storm coming tomorrow. It is a female that has been spayed. I have pics on my FB page if anybody wants to look.

Have to get ready soon; going to my niece's birthday party. Was supposed to work this morning, but they called me yesterday to tell me not to come in. It's a bummer, but oh well. Gave me some extra reading time, haha.

Have my children mad at me. School was cancelled so they want to go to the library, its 3° outside, we ain't going anywhere. You would think the 12 yr old would be the one to understand that but she's the maddest lol. Said she would walk. It's only 9 blocks but she would get hypothermia. Now she's in her room pouting. I told her there's a good chance its not even open but she doesn't seem to care.

Juggling all kinds of stuff right now. At least I'm not sitting around sulking about the job situation. Need to make some phone calls to people about bills I can't pay, need to go to the store, working vigorously to find this cat I rescued a good home, need to clean my house, take a shower, and want to get some reading done.

Kitty is now in foster care AND I GOT A JOB! Two good things the same day. Settling down now to read for a bit. Don't know how far I'll get tonight with the reading because I'm hyped.

Just got home not long ago. Orientation was only a couple of hours. Standard stuff. Safety video, company history/production video, quiz, and a tour of the facility. Will receive a call this afternoon sometime with my days and hours, but I've already been told it will be nights (6-4:30 a.m.). Thanks you for all the kind words!

Just received a call from the temp agency with my days and hours. I will be working Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 6 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. I don't really mind. Four day workweek, off on the weekends, and traffic coming home from work should be a breeze.

Didn't get up until noon since I'm trying to acclimate my body to the new work schedule. At least the clocks go up this weekend. That should help some. I'm getting ready to settle down and read. Got six books going right now. I always say I'm not going to read more than two at at time. Ha!

I babysat the grandchild today and she was a bit irritable. On antibiotics for her ear. Still, I had a good time and enjoyed seeing three of the grandkids. Didn't get any reading done today and I have church in the morning. Plan on devoting a couple of hours to reading. More if I can.

The snow is melting alright. It is a sloppy mess here with the ground so wet. That's OK. I'll take the warmer weather any day of the week. It will dry out soon enough.

I'm in now for the next few days so I can concentrate on goodreads some Cindy. I'm loving the Goldfinch gut I'm reading a few others as well. I'm sat in bed at the moment and its 9am. I've just woke up and I think I'm getting up in a minute.

Watching episode 40 of Dexter with some friends on Netflix. I've already finished the series, but I'm re-watching it with them. And waiting for NASCAR to start at 2 central time. Gotta head home in just a few hours - about an hour and a half drive - then I'll probably use the treadmill - and finally get a chance to read in my reading room at home! That's enough - after all, it IS Sunday, you know!
