How irritating... I am one of those people that don't like my books marked in. I don't even like the pages dog-earred. I like to keep them as new, clean, and crisp as I can!

I think I am only on page 100 or so. I'm going to keep at it, though.

I think that series got a lot of girls reading, which is awesome. I know several girls that didn't read much before but since reading the series, they read all the time... looking for the next best book. I think its fabulous.

I just got a call from my library that they're holding it for me. :) We're going away for the weekend, so maybe I'll start it then.
Everyone at work loves the book you're reading. I haven't read it yet -is it easy to get into?Jennifer wrote: "I'm reading The Mysterious Benedict Society and loving it. I wasn't sure if I would get into it since it was picked for the challenge (the one where I have to walk down a row, spin aro..."
I just started To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm reading it for task 20.1 and I'm glad it's one of the group reads for this month.
I'm currently reading Wake by Lisa McMann. Jennifer, I picked up The Mysterious Benedict Society the other day and look forward to reading it.

Can't please everyone...) "
Thank you Misty. I cared. I absolutely loved the Twilight series. It was also my reintroduction, after many, many years, to the world of fiction reading which this time I believe will stay with me for the rest of my life. I didn't exactly fall in love with any of the characters (although I'd love to get to know Alice better) but I cared a lot. There were many times that the series had me in such an extremely heightened emotional state that my hands trembled and I couldn't stop reading regardless of the time of night. I stopped for the day after the sun came up a number of times. My reaction to books may change as I read more but this series will always have a special place in my heart.
Natalee wrote: "Oooo, Inoli, hope you love it! That's my favorite series."I'll keep you posted Natalee. The praise I've heard/read for this series has been intense.
Inoli wrote: "I didn't exactly fall in love with any of the characters (although I'd love to get to know Alice better) but I cared a lot."Alice was my favorite vamp character, Charlie was my fave human.

I just finished a book by a new author Escape Under The Forever Sky By Eve Yohalem - it was wonderful and I think that tweens, teens and YA's will identify with the lead character Lucy! I posted a review in my blog.Robyn Hawk

I started Hunger Games last night but may have to set aside to read library books that come in. I'm only 10 or 15 pages in and already like it.
I hear that Natalee! I just finished A Map of the Known World and did not like it. Now I've started Red Glass, which I forgot at my parents last night doing laundry, so I started What the Moon Saw last night when I couldn't find it. I am almost done with The Book Thief, I swear!

Yeah it is easy to get into...it's a total kids book...I would recommend it to all the little kiddies I used to work with, but for some reason towards the end I lost interest. Probably because I was starting to stress about school.

I really loved Alice, too. I want her as my shopping buddy...LOL
Jennifer wrote: "I'm reading Inkheart. I love how it talks about books, books, and more books."I have the book, but haven't read it yet though I plan to read it soon. Is it good?
Eden wrote: "I have the book, but haven't read it yet though I plan to read it soon. Is it good?"For me it felt a little like it was going around in circles, but mostly I really liked it.
Natalee wrote: "Misty wrote: "Natalee wrote: "I am 1/4 way through The Graveyard Book and I'm not loving it. I gave it three stars because of the way Gaiman constructs sentences and ideas, but the story itself just didn't grab me.
I just finished
Debbie Harry Sings in French
by Meagan Brothers. Quite an unusual twist on teenage gender and sexuality issues, but part of me wishes she'd gone a little deeper. All told, it was a quick and pleasurable read, and it's probably the first YA book I've seen lately that actually handles 80s nostalgia very well.
Natalee wrote: "I started Hunger Games last night but may have to set aside to read library books that come in. I'm only 10 or 15 pages in and already like it."This was such a good book. I'm eagerly waiting for the sequel!

I'm just in the beginning (I started school again so I'm a little behind on my "fun" books), but so far I love it!

Told ya it would happen... The library called with The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian so I'm putting Hunger Games to the side for now.
Natalee wrote: "I read four chapters last night and enjoyed it. The main character has so much personality!"It honestly just gets better and better. So good.
Allison wrote: "*blushes* I'm reading The Vampire Diaries."
Why blushing? Read it loud and proud. Well, maybe not loud, that might be a little weird. I've wondered about this, let me know how you like it.
well Misty, I finished Volume I, which is the first two books. It, to me, was a mix of Twilight and Interview with a Vampire. A pathetic girl/guy story (with a twist), but everything was darker and more sensual, a la Interview. I enjoyed it, but it was mindless entertainment.
But mindless entertainment is still entertainment. :-DI like reading those every now and then. I call them "in-betweens".
Kristen wrote: "I'm reading Red Glass and just about to start the audio of Anne of Green Gables."Ah, sweet Anne! Hope you enjoy it!

Started Rebel Angels last night. I'm not super excited, honestly. I want to finish out the series, but I remember flying through the first one and not loving it, but thinking it was interesting enough to just supplement with my own imagination. I'm hoping this will be better.
Just picked up Bless the Beasts and Children off my shelf this week because I couldn't remember if I had actually read it before, although the story seemed familiar. Maybe I had seen a movie version. It reminds me of The Outsiders - about a group of misfit/outcasts at a boys camp...

I'm about halfway through Rebel Angels now and looking forward to getting back to it. I'm anxious to hear if it picks up for you at all.
