How irritating... I am one of those people that don't like my books marked in. I don't even like the pages dog-earred. I like to keep them as new, clean, and crisp as I can!

I tried to read more last night but everytime I start a page, I pass out! It's taking me forever to get anywhere in it. I think I am only on page 100 or so. I'm going to keep at it, though.

it is a really fast read...but the plot does move sorta slow...I didn't get into it until she finally got to the Beast's castle.

I liked majority of the series but the last one wasn't so great in my opinion. High expectations, low delivery.
I think that series got a lot of girls reading, which is awesome. I know several girls that didn't read much before but since reading the series, they read all the time... looking for the next best book. I think its fabulous.

Thank you Misty. I cared. I absolutely loved the Twilight series. It was also my reintroduction, after many, many years, to the world of fiction reading which this time I believe will stay with me for the rest of my life. I didn't exactly fall in love with any of the characters (although I'd love to get to know Alice better) but I cared a lot. There were many times that the series had me in such an extremely heightened emotional state that my hands trembled and I couldn't stop reading regardless of the time of night. I stopped for the day after the sun came up a number of times. My reaction to books may change as I read more but this series will always have a special place in my heart.

I just finished a book by a new author Escape Under The Forever Sky By Eve Yohalem - it was wonderful and I think that tweens, teens and YA's will identify with the lead character Lucy! I posted a review in my blog.

I hear that Natalee! I just finished A Map of the Known World and did not like it. Now I've started Red Glass, which I forgot at my parents last night doing laundry, so I started What the Moon Saw last night when I couldn't find it. I am almost done with The Book Thief, I swear!

Yeah it is easy to get into...it's a total kids book...I would recommend it to all the little kiddies I used to work with, but for some reason towards the end I lost interest. Probably because I was starting to stress about school.

As much as I'm a Gaiman fangirl, I didn't really enjoy this book. I gave it three stars because of the way Gaiman constructs sentences and ideas, but the story itself just didn't grab me.

I just finished Debbie Harry Sings in French by Meagan Brothers. Quite an unusual twist on teenage gender and sexuality issues, but part of me wishes she'd gone a little deeper. All told, it was a quick and pleasurable read, and it's probably the first YA book I've seen lately that actually handles 80s nostalgia very well.

well Misty, I finished Volume I, which is the first two books. It, to me, was a mix of Twilight and Interview with a Vampire. A pathetic girl/guy story (with a twist), but everything was darker and more sensual, a la Interview. I enjoyed it, but it was mindless entertainment.

Started Rebel Angels last night. I'm not super excited, honestly. I want to finish out the series, but I remember flying through the first one and not loving it, but thinking it was interesting enough to just supplement with my own imagination. I'm hoping this will be better.

Just picked up Bless the Beasts and Children off my shelf this week because I couldn't remember if I had actually read it before, although the story seemed familiar. Maybe I had seen a movie version. It reminds me of The Outsiders - about a group of misfit/outcasts at a boys camp...

I'm very much enjoying these books and being in this world and I've become very attached to the characters, with all their flaws. I'm about halfway through Rebel Angels now and looking forward to getting back to it. I'm anxious to hear if it picks up for you at all.
