Regina Can now post review for The Death House by Sarah Pinborough

Currently reading Wolf Winter by Cecilia Ekbäck.

I started it a month ago but had to put it down to read something else. I started to read it again last week, but haven't gotten far due to crazy life. What i have read so far is really good.

I was blown away by her book Touching the Wire so I'm pleased to have another book to read by the same author.

Took me a while to get into [book:Wolf Winter|24466301] Regina. It is quite slow and quite bleak so not exactly a fun read but it does speed up a bit and get more interesting and I think it's worth sticking with, just to read about the sort of life those people lived in Lappland if nothing else. So spare and impoverished and the winters! Brrr!

I know but I had already started it before then....I have now finished my history challenge :)
Its the same with the May challenge, the audiobook I'm listening to atm [book:The Poppet and the Lune|10910169]...which btw is terrific...would have been perfect, but alas I had already started it before.

message 13612: by Ryan (new)

Ryan I finished Wuthering Heights and tried to collect my thoughts in a far less complicated review.

Currently reading The Black God’s War: A Novella Introducing a new Epic Fantasy, which is a fantasy novella released to 'sell' the longer novel upon which it is based. The first five chapters of the two books are the same, which I though was an interesting idea.

I just need a good solid chunk of time. I'm only snatching a minute here and there and it is making it hard!

(I also think it would have been good for this month's challenge but I had already started in March).

It's a good look at Indian life Sally, although a bit nitty gritty with mistreatment to women - nothing over the top in my opinion. If you get to it let me know your thoughts :) But the 'if' is what gets us all huh?!!
