It's sad when reading a book becomes a chore instead of a pleasure isn't it? Especially when there are still so many GOOD books out there waiting.

Angela | 351 comments I've finished reading Inferno by Dan Brown which was rather disappointing I'm afraid.

It's probably not so much that it's not a well written book, but I really don't like the main character at all. It's one of my Aussie Author Challenge books, so I'll persist, but it might take me a while. I took a small comfort read foray into Hot Money by Dick Francis last night instead. Easy reading, fun characters and not too deep.

S.A. Carter (sacarter) | 3 comments Hi everyone, I have just finished reading The Secret Life of Bees. I loved it! Sue Monk Kidd is a wonderful writer and I connect with her stories easily.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her books to those who enjoy a historical story about the human spirit.

I've been spending a lot of time listening to audiobooks produced by LibriVox of late. There are a dozen readers that I particularly enjoy the work of. One of those is Mark F. Smith, a chap that also does paid narration.

This is my first Ruth Rendell. She is a clever witty writer. If I was not committed to the Chandler/ Hammett style, I would write like Ms Rendell.
