What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book)

Good luck Shane. I started it a while back for another challenge but for some reason couldn't get into it. My husband read it and really enjoyed it. I may have to go back to it at another time. Hope you enjoy it.
Sharon wrote: "Just started What Alice Forgot Liane Moriarty"I really enjoyed that book. It was a fun little book that I had a hard time putting down.

. Based on your recommendation and of course on having enjoyed Alice so much.

Last night I started Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger. Loving it - over halfway already. And it has a gorgeous cover:)I think I'll be reading a lot more of this guy.
Reading Le Freak: An Upside Down Story of Family, Disco, and Destiny in between writing my sequel to Celtic Blood. Le Freak: An Upside Down Story of Family, Disco, and Destiny is one of the best most entertaining books I've read, want to get the goss on those music celebrities, Madonna. What is she like? Read this. Read some good books this year, this is the best though. Loved it.
Been in a bit of a reading slump so I have gone on a old fav re read spree

That's because I'm amazing. :P Don't expect anything deep and intelligent from a Matthew Reilly novel though, they're action movies in novel form.
Just finished Just Between Us review up http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... and Shallow Breath review here. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Thanks Elaine. I'm enjoying it so far.
I know that feeling you described though, sometimes I read books that I agree are very good, but I'm not in the mood for that style at the time, so I put in down till a later time
Yesterday I finished Ordinary Grace. Review to follow, I think...Now I've started Secrets of Eden which contrary to the cover, is actually an interesting murder book involving a vicar.
While Kiss Me First is so addictive, I'm going to read The Hot Kid in remembrance of the great Elmore Leonard

Have you read any of his before Michael? Such a sad loss...

No I haven't, I released there are so many books of his that I want to read and remember all the movie adaptation (mostly positively). So I went to the library and picked up the first book of his I found, if I like it I plan to read a lot more.

Finished 'Jasper Jones'. Loved it! Not without stars but definitely four stars and worthy comparison to 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.
Have just started A Man Without A Breath by Philip Kerr, recommended by a friend. Haven't read any of Kerr's books before.

I just finished Waiting for Wednesday by Nicci French. It was excellent. A five star read. I am growing to like Frieda Klein and look forward to the next in the series.
Now I am starting Mortal Fire. Elizabeth Knox is a really good author and if this is half as good as The Vintner's Luck I shall be a happy vegemite. It has a brilliant cover!

I'm more than half-way through and it is quite interesting, but not half as good as Mieville. The weird factor is the same, reminds me sometimes of Embassytown, the world-building is sound, but lacks the lyrical charm of China Miéville.
I was hoping someone would read it with me, but I guess now am on the verge of finishing it. Will post a review, although! :)
