Dear Cheryl, mea culpa if I have broken some rule, but please don't exclude me from the group perhaps because I mention the HF books I have written. I have been really thrilled to discover there are so many book lovers out there with the same love of this genre.
Tony,Cheryl is merely saying that this thread is specifically a thread meant to post points for a book challenge we are all participating in. There are other threads meant specifically for discussing books and book recommendations. Perhaps try here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_... or even here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_....
We would also appreciate if your two previous posts were deleted, just to keep this thread dedicated to points posts. You can delete by clicking the link in the bottom right corner of your post marked delete. Thanks!

This non-fiction book details the specifics of French parenting customs, including things like "The Pause" in which French parents take 5-10 minutes before responding to a child, even an infant, in order to "listen" to the child's desires. Or the "gouter" which is a once-a-day designated snack time, and, unlike American children, the only snack a French child receives. This ensures a healthy appetite for the other meals, while teaching a child patience.
