I'll be reading
tortured heroes. We may have a chance. It will be a winning shelf if they are caught up. Are they?

Tortured hero -
Supernatural - I have actually started both my other options but just got my copy of
(signed by the authors yesterday with BINGO's mastermind Steph!!!!) so it's on my read NOW list, so changing my pick to that. Let's continue and see if bingo lives on for another week :)
Third Grave Dead Ahead
Shelf: supernatural
Rating: 5/5 stars
Brief Review:
Since the round's not over yet, I decided to still go ahead and post that I finished the 3rd book in the Charley Davidson series for the supernatural shelf.
Once again, I loved the audiobook narration, and I continue to absolutely love the snarky character of Charley. I like the mix of humor and action. I like the mysterious aspects that have to be solved as you progress through the novel. And I like the flirty characters that Charley gets to play with.
I will definitely continue the series :)
I'm working on updating our main post. It'll be up shortly. I just wanted to let you know that I'm on it. :D*done*
Also I'll be reading
for this week's shelf
Shelf: Book BoyfriendsBook: Mine to Possess]
Rating: 4/5 stars
Review:
Yet another exhilarating addition to Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series. I just LOVE the world that she has created and I kick myself every time I think about the fact that I put this series on the backburner for such a long time. The good news is that my library has every book so it's lovely to save some money but still feed my reading addiction. In this installment we meet Talin and are re-introduced to Clay. The feelings in this book were very intense to me. A little darker than some of the previous installments. Talin is a woman scarred from childhood abuse and Clay is her childhood friend that more or less rescues her from the situation but in doing so...scars and scares her even more.
The GOOD:
The world builing, the action/mystery end, and the set up for the next books are my favorite things about this story. I really liked the parts that included past hs and Hs and I also like the continuation of this story line with the ulitmate (I assume) downfall of the psy networks and practices. On a lesser degree, I liked the love story between Clay and Talin though they don't take the trophy as my favorite couple.
I also really like that Nalini Singh has a colorful (in personality and apprearance) cast. Most authors in PNR or romance in general tend to stick with WASP backgrounds for their characters. I get the impression that in this future society, there is a lot of mixing and much more of a focus on the fundamentals (being human, changeling, or psy) and not on what we traditionally view as race. I appreciate that she is WAY more inclusive than most best selling romance writers.
The BAD/UGLY: Nothing bad or ugly for me but for some reason I just wasn't drug into the love story that was at the center of this read. It might be me starting to lean more towards UFs but I just was skimming the love scenes. They good. Nalini Singh writes one hell of a love scene but I just wasn't in the mood for it. Other than that, it was a good book! I can't wait the star the next one like right now.

Hi team! Sorry I've been so MIA the last couple weeks, work has been kicking my butt lately. I usually have the intention of reading and fall asleep instead. If there's still a game, will hopefully have an update by Sat :)
Shelf: Angels & DemonsBook:

Review: *Warning spoilers ahead*
Ray isn't a normal teenage girl, even though she so desperately wants to be. How normal can you be when you see angels? Or at least you think you do, who knows really after spending three years locked up inside a mental institution.
She's starting fresh now, new school, new state, she hasn't seen an angel in forever. Maybe she can finally have a normal life. Until she meets Cam, the new student. Not only is she thinking she's slipping, students are starting to die, by their own hands. Or is something or someone behind it all?
This series has a lot of potential, and I mean a lot. We have fallen angels, good vs evil, what probably be a love triangle, but besides that we have a well written young adult novel. The author has done a great job at making a interesting story. I haven't read many books about angels, normally I read vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. I think I might have to check out more angel ones now.
You know as I was cluing up this book I thought you know what this would make a pretty good t.v show.

Some thoughts:
This series is pretty amazing. I've decided Ilona Andrews could write a story about Kate and Curran doing laundry and I would be riveted. Do they separate their lights and darks? What kind of detergent do they use? And most importantly, how do they fill the time waiting in between loads?! I could read a book about nothing but if they were in it, I'd be a happy camper.
I forget how funny these books are. There's a ton of violence and bloodshed; someone's always trying to kill someone else. But there are also so many lines that just make me smile, and to top it off, I get a reference about hobbits and second breakfast? Sold.
I'm still a little awestruck by these crazy shift changes. Seeing a man turn into a 1000 pound beast would scare the crap out of me!
Trying to steer it back to the book...um...go read it!
Thanks Sandra.Looks like Furies just put in a request for their winning stamp. It's been a fun game team, I enjoyed playing with all of you! I definitely got back into reading with this round, checked off some freebies from the mountain, and discovered a couple new series :)
Awwww I just got on and saw that it was over... It was very fun reading with yall! I hope to play again next round! I also tackled some freebies!
