We are done!!!


We have repeated Category 2 and 5 to replace 4 and 3. Although we were only 2 books away from finishing electric lime and I know JoLene is finishing up her two BOM books. It just came down to what finished first.


I submitted the last one just now and if approved we are all set, although there have been talks of repeating the challenge to get cupcakes, but nothing official. Below are all the categories updated so far.

I didn't really contribute either but I'm glad we're done. All that work of figuring out who could read what was kinda a waste of time. :)

although there have been talks of repeating the challenge to get cupcakes,
I'm confused, I thought the cupcakes were given for completing the games. You don't have to read anything to do that. And the bouncing cupcakes are on chunksters that were read during the entire Tower Team Challenge which can be used to replace an RAT item for any RAT during the Challenge as well.

These are just random additional cupcakes, unrelated to the game. Its something other team members brought up, well the ones who already finished, since they finished way ahead of time, they are repeating the 7% challenge again, for themselves, so they brought up the idea of getting cupcakes as an incentive for repeating a category. I don't think anything official has been planned, its just something other team has brought up to the mods. I believe they are still thinking about it and you did contribute to the challenge. Not really a waste of time I would say with planning some books, I read some really good books sooner rather than later and I am glad of that.

Now, I am off to think of ideas for our August challenge, I have only a week before my summer classes start so I am going to knock some things out this week.

Yes that's what I was thinking, we were pretty close to finishing up Electric Lime as well. We already had five books completed. And maybe this will give the other participant a chance to finish their readings and join in.

Yeah, I'm in on this one. I will just proceed ahead then, and work on the Electric Lime thing if that is okay. I had planned on another book that has already been approved, but it doesn't release until tomorrow (June 18th). That will give us 6 books, and I can easily contribute another one for that category if need be.

Are we short on Buddy Reads and BOM? If so, maybe I can work on that as well. If not, that's fine too.

Otherwise, I will just keep reading with the duplication in mind, meaning I will make sure whatever I'm reading fits somewhere in the 7% Challenge.

Just a clarification: If we do manage to finish Category 3 & 4, we already have two of our duplicates, correct?

I heard a lot of great things. I'm mostly listening to audio and I'm wondering if audio is not a good format for me for this particular book.

I am going to be reading The Kingdom by Amanda Stevens at the end of this week. It's a buddy read. I was thinking of reading the passage, but after hearing your take on it. I don't know if I want to read it.

Well -- I'm only 7 chapters into a BIG book, so I guess I will keep going. I think I should at least 100 pages before I give up.

I have yet to not finish a book, no matter how bad, except for an anthology that were all series related book and I just read one story out of. But I hate starting a book and not finish, so I try to make sure I am going to like it.

I used to always finish things....but now that I got old and I still have a big TBR pile, I've decided that I can not finish things :-)

Yes, your Team may repeat any category of the 7% Solution Challenge for another cupcake per category. This is up to five cupcakes.

Please do NOT post for them in this thread.

More clarification for Captains/Co-Captains:

RULES: You may use any book (NOT used by you during your first time playing) finished between June 1 - July 19, 2013 that fits in any category of 7% Solution Challenge. It may be the exact same book that fits in a slot, if read by another member.

The same restrictions for repeating a category apply. (In other words, you can't do #5 five times, only three. But you can do #2 twice.)

You do NOT need to keep in mind which "Spell-it-Out" letters you have used in Round I.

You will be awarded one cupcake per category, but only up to five categories.

You may start posting in the JUNE/JULY Challenge: 7% Solution FINISHED Category Posting thread to receive your cupcakes. Please do so AFTER all Teams have completed the first Round, or there is an official announcement to proceed, or until July 1st, whichever comes first.
