Hello everyone. I'm Jen, and I'm trying to read 52 nonfiction books this year. I'm hoping that a good number of them will be history titles. I'm open to suggestions, of course. I would say my strongest historical interests are around history of technology and exploration, as well as a morbid curiosity around true tales of survival/disaster/atrocity.

Hi! My name is Tracey. I'm from Atlanta GA. I exclusively read fiction, classics mainly, until I read Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard a couple of years ago, and I realized that there was a lot we didn't cover in history class. I feel that most of my teachers and professors were fixated on WWII and I missed out on a lot, so I'm really looking forward to kicking this year off with the "Land of the Rising Sun Book Express."

Hello everyone,My name is Yaron Reshef. I am 63 yrs old and live in Pardesia Israel and Lewes DE USA.
I am an industrial designer by profession and active in history research in my free time.
My biggest challenge is searching for historical information about people long gone during the Holocaust.
I strongly believe that memories should be nurtured. That’s the only way to preserve them. And nurturing them is done through a story that breathes life and validity into them. You relate the memories, and they return the favor by growing stronger and finding a safe, permanent spot in your consciousness, until they become part of you.

I am a christian, small business owner, husband, and father of 3 children. I have the priviledge of listening to hours of books while I work in my janitorial and window cleaning business. I missed a lot of history in the public schools so I have a particular interest in anything history. I just now loaded Truman, by John McCullough onto my iPod Shuffle & I'm excited to begin that one tomorrow. Thanks for the warm welcome.
