Skye's murmured something in-cohesive as her eyes drifted close. Her runes dulled a faint shade of gold as her slip molded against her skin as her side pressed into the cushioning blanket. Her hair was cleared from her face, showing a peaceful display. No stress, no accusations, and no hate. Just a bliss of peacefulness. She shifted here and there, as if she sensed the heat rolling off Sebastian's body.

((I'm doing this for you Helen, here I go.))

Immediately, she shivered intensely, the energy not keeping up with her body's bead for heat. She was a dragon after all, they thrived upon it. Her face displayed winces one after another, but the blanket would never warm her. Rustling in the sheets were enough to wake Sebastian from his daze.

After two hours, Fredrick awoke and gathered firewood and set it up, though leaving it nonflaming. He went out for a ten-mile jog (in full body armor) and was back in an hour and ten minutes, in which time he paced rather restlessly, playing strategies and such over and over again in his mind, practicing swordmanship, throwing his knives and tomahawks into trees, and such, waiting for the rest of them to wake up.

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) ((LET THEM HAVE THE SEBRA MOMENT! That's all I'm going to say.))

Sabine was having a truly lovely time chasing that fly... that is until Fredrick interrupted her killing-pounce. She just had the bug where she wanted him to be, but no; Fredrick had to flip her onto her back. Outraged, she growled and snapped at him, furious by his action and by what he was saying. No enemies? He was the enemy – they all were! She was just about to open her mouth and scream, but Fredrick held up a rock and suddenly the whole world went dark.

A few moments later, Sabine opened her eyes halfway. No longer where they black pits, but instead they were her normal, misty grey ones. Her head pounded, and she had no idea where she was. She lifted her head slightly to find herself in a forest, dried blood coating her neck and chest. She looked around her again, just to see a tent stood a few feet away. She heard the rustling of sheets, which told her that people were inside. Was she kidnapped? Where were Skyra and Sebastian? Did Fredrick have them? For the life of her, she couldn’t remember. All she could recall was being in the tunnel, pain racking her body... She looked down at the blood again. “Wha happened?” she mumbled, her words slurred. Her mouth was impossibly dry, and her head felt like it was going to explode. But all the strength left her, and her head dropped to the ground. She was out like a light.

Meanwhile, Skyra adjusted herself so she was only slightly closer to Sebastian at first. Although, his heat was addicting and her body instantly wanted it, craved for him. She had no control of her instincts, her mind a dark oblivion. There wasn't so much ground between them. Another cruel shiver went up her spine and her body couldn't take anymore f the draining cold.

((Helen XD))

Sebastian let out an annoyed groan as he sensed Skyra shifting, and propped himself on his elbows. "Sky, c'mon..." He complained, eyes squinting into the darkness. Once he perceived her face he bolted upright, two firm hands landing on her arms once more. It was almost a comforting familiar experience.
"Jesus, you look like shit." He said, uniquely-colored eyes scanning her face for any signs of illness.

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra's eyes were a strange emerald green. They looked exotic but sick though her raspy laugh was herself, "Isn't that what every human girl wants to hear?" Though Skyra was definitely not human. "Did you just call me..." Her words trailed off as oblivion started taking her in its grasp once again. Feeling his heat somewhere on her arms, a shiver for more ran down her back, and mindlessly, she rolled into his embrace, her cheek against the soft robe. "Warm," Skyra murmured.

message 311: by [deleted user] (new)

He inhaled softly, eyes a slight bit wider than usual in surprise. He hands had moved off her in surprise when she leaned into him, but he lowered them back down after adjusting. This time he wrapped her in his own embrace, feeling horribly awkward, but nice. He rested his chin on her head, wondering what was wrong with her. She was obviously cold, but perhaps her transformation had taken its toll on her.

Soon enough, her body was heating, even hotter then Sebastian's. her heart rate and breathing had regulated to its normal pace, quick. As Sabine woke up in her surroundings, Skyra was starting to arise in hers. Which was in Sebastian's arms. "Mmm..." Skyra hummed, stirring. Her hand ran up his robed chest and froze, like she just realized what happened.

message 313: by [deleted user] (new)

Sebastian felt his friend stiffen, and he dropped his arms fairly fast before she could make any aggressive actions. He considered vanishing right then and there to work on his clothes (it had been his escape route) but he was concerned about Sabine, and he still had Skyra to address.
He cleared his throat, waving a hand to gesture to what had happened. "Um, sorry, but you were kind of maybe going into hypothermia or something?" Sebastian was not an expert on hypothermia.

Memories had not yet awakened Skyra and as she looked up, her mouth gaped open. She took into both their attire and scrambled back, not caring if the slip was dangerously riding up her legs as she did. What happened? Did I.... Did we? Her eyes were accusing and shocked at the same time, their normal color. Skyra raised a hand by her head, letting her perfect silver claws sprout. It was clear she had thought something around intimacy an was not liking the scenarios.

"Holy shit, I didn't have sex with you!" He stammered, scrambling backwards a bit.
"Dude, you came towards me, no pulling this Wolverine crap on me!" His words tumbled over his tongue. He was panicking. Although he could simply vanish in mere moments, he assumed he was afraid of Skyra hating him, or her finding a way to pin him down and skin his face.

His words triggered the memories of what had occurred a few hours ago. Skyra lowered her hand, the silver tips disappearing. Yet she didn't move, her eyes fastened right onto him. Her runes, starting from her exposed thigh and down her legs. Yup, she was definitely normal right now.
Her mouth opened then closed, understanding finally appearing in her eyes. Should she apologize to him? Skyra contemplated the question.
There was something else though. Now that she was aware and focused, it didn't help her thought process to see Sebastian's new host. Or body? Since it wasn't an original person. The figure was lean, yet muscled arms were highlighted by the robe. His hair was awkwardly short and ragged, hiding his outlines cheek bones. And then there were those eyes, staring at her, unreadable.

((Thanks for that tad bit of info XD))

message 318: by [deleted user] (new)

He swallowed loudly, watching her runes out of the corner of his eyes. She wasn't speaking, so he wouldn't either.
He cleared his throat once more, standing up. "I'm gonna go check on Sabine..." He declared, giving her a quick nod before unzipping the tent flap.

"No," Skyra said all too quickly, "I should.." She trailed off, tripping over something as she scammed out, just as Sebastian unzipped the tent. Brushing him past, she briskly stood, fixing herself as she stood. "Should be in the other tent," she muttered and in her slip, she marched right to it.

message 320: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Above post and also;
Fredrick restlessly cast about for a distraction and his ears picked up the trampling hooves of a deer. He went out with his bow and shot it before carrying it back to camp and skinning it with the skinning knife his father had given him for his third birthday, cutting the meat of the deer into chunks and beginning to make pemmican-like food with it (pemmican was much more permanent than meat, though supposed to be made out of bison). He lit the fireplace by flinging his harsh, unwelcoming flame into it and began roasting the deer pemmican.
He hoped no one was vegetarian. That would become annoying.

Skyra stormed into the other tent, her eyes scanning it empty. Fredrick was around the fire and beyond him, she saw a knocked out figure. "Fredrick!" Skyra roared at seeing how he knocked her out. "You complete idiot."
Lets all say kick ass Skyra was here to stay. She briskly walked to where Sabine laid. Cradling the girl's head. She fixed the girls hair, stroking her temple. "Wake up Sabine," her voice was determined yet soft to her friend.

message 322: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Upon feeling someone lifting her head, Sabine’s eyes snapped open and she blurted out in impossible speed, “The chickens wanted to eat me!” She soon realized what she said, and shook her head, as if to fully wake herself out of her dream. She looked up to see Skyra, trying to fix her mad mass of white curls. She quickly propped herself onto her shoulders. “What in the world?” was all she said. It was obvious how confused she was.

message 323: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Take a breather," Skyra instructed though there was a hint of amusement in her voice. This was the Sabine she knew. "Fredrick knocked you out as a banshee," there was a annoyance in that statement, but not directed at Sabine. Carefully, she helped her friend stand up. Her height naturally made her appear like she was towering slightly. The gold slip had remained spotless. "I would've done something but I was in my own..." Skyra chose her words carefully, "predicament,"

message 324: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments "I think it was a very effective way to calm the banshee's madness," Fredrick said impartially as he did whatever you do with pemmican.
"And judging from the sounds from the tent, I'm not the one you're mad at, just the closest person. She'll be fine, the bruise will be gone in about a week." He finished the first of the pemmican and offered it to Skyra and Sabine.

message 325: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine’s eyes were wide at the sight of Fredrick. There was some part of her that hoped he had gotten sick of them and left, or else Skyra burnt him to a crisp, but obviously not. Shrugging it off, she got to her feet, brushing the dirt off her beloved (and stolen) trench coat, noticing a shocking amount of black hair fall to the ground. She also noticed more dried blood on her coat – and she was sure it wasn’t her own. Not saying anything about it, she shook her head at Fredrick’s offering. “I’m fine.” Her eyes bounced around, taking in her surroundings like a sponge. “So, where did the much loved Sebastian go too?”

message 326: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra's eyes went dark, confirming what Fredrick said about her anger towards the demon. She stood and briskly snapped at Fredrick, "I can be mad at two can't I?" It was a question not to be answered from the fire in her gaze as she stormed back over to the vacant tent, not the one holding Sebastian.

message 327: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Having not any clue what was happening but just roling with things, Sabine gave the I'm watching you (but I don't know why) look and followed Skyra. Every muscle burned as she crawled into the tent - which was surprisingly very lavished. "I'm guessing you and Sebastian fought," she said, her voice monotone.

message 328: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra's face had taken on a secret tinge of red as she faced away. "Not exactly," she whispered as she lay down on the mattress. Was Sebastian telling the truth when he said she came and met her body with his? A flash of the wanting of warmth went through her and she finally understood he was correct. Guilt and shame rose in her cheeks but she couldn't bring herself to say sorry, she normally couldn't, even when proven wrong. "I'm sorry Fredrick was an arse." She inclined her head, "Or I mean, he is one."

message 329: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine noticed Skyra’s little blush – although the banshee normally noticed a lot of things. And, also a normal occurrence, she would ask possibly a million questions to find out what had happened. But this time she allowed it to slide. She shrugged at her friends comment. “Hey,” she said, keeping her tone light. “At least I got a great sleep out of it.”

message 330: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Isn't that correct?" Skyra smiled faintly. Her hand went to Sabine's head, healing her effortlessly. She had definitely recharged. Perhaps it was even better then she had been going on for these last couple of days. Her eyes were sensitive to magic as they used to be, her movements quick and swift, her power humming throughout her veins. She felt... herself.

message 331: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Once Skyra’s hand touched her forehead, Sabine felt a slight ping inside of her. Warmth finally settled in her veins, and she felt ten times better than she did before. She looked down to find the crusting scratches along her chest gone, only the dry blood remained. Her thoughts drifted back to the black hairs on her coat. What did happen? Now that she was fully awake, more vivid images of forgotten memories flooded returned to her – someone burning, riding a dragon, a snarling wolf…
She sat crossed legged on the ground, drawing circles absentmindedly on the ground using her index fingers.

message 332: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Rough day right?" Skyra chuckled, her laugh lightning the mood instantly. In front of Sabine laid the girl who she met in the first place. Tough, assessing, and always ready. There was a light that had returned to Skyra's eyes, now that she knew what was her goal. To save her family, she had to save the school, and to save the school she would have to kill Tesir. In her past lives, her soul had killed many so it wasn't like killing brought shivers to her. It just took audacity.

message 333: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine gave a small smile. It did seem Skyra had returned to normal. The banshee was slowly but surly returning to normal, too. All she needed was time.
"Rough?" she suddenly said, then threw her head back and gave out one hearty laugh. "Haha! No day is rough for the great Sabine Southwind!"

message 334: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"You said it," Skyra agreeing, her bad mood disappearing for a while as she felt the ease with her close friend. Her neck looked strange though, missing the pendent that was her sign. Where could it have gone? The last time she had it was when Sam appeared to give them directions to Fredrick.

message 335: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) ((Sorry, I'm being bombarded with notifications. XD ))

Sabine's smile grew wider, and then silence settled between the two. She once read that silence in a friendship was important, that if people don't understand your silence possibly wouldn't understand your words, and it seemed to be one of those times. The banshee had no idea how to understand silences, so she just went along with it.
Her eyes suddenly flickered to Skyra's neck. Her pendant wasn't there. Strange, she thought. She had never seen the dragon without it. Since the day they met, Skyra had always worn that necklace.

Skyra smiled, feeling comfortable of their silence. She looked out the thin wall of the tent, being able to see Fredrick by the fire still. She wasn't seeing Sabine's observational gaze on her neck. Not until she felt the gaze that is. "What?" She questioned, still not looking at Sabine just yet. She was studying Fredrick suspiciously. She would never trust him.

Sebastian had been gone quite awhile. He'd purchased new clothes, all in his style, and had manages to use some of his weak demon magic to grow out a few more inches of hair. It was slightly grabbable, but no one would be able to get a good hold on it. He had spiked it up into one of those mini-mowhawks. He'd been digging those lately. He rarely bothered to put up an illusion for his eyes, often receiving odd looks from passerby's.
He returned in a flurry of smoke, in his own tent. Normally he would add on additions to his journal when he had nothing to do, but he currently didn't know the whereabouts of it. It had gone to Skyra, to Fredrick, to probably a bunch of other people. It was no longer his own private work. He would have to make a new one.

message 339: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) "No necklace," was all Sabine said, her brow pulled into a frown. Suddenly, she let out a long sigh as she collapsed onto her back, her crossed legs still crossed. It looked as though she was statue that fell over. She just felt sick of sitting - lying was much better. "I need to get myself a weapon," she announced. "The only thing I have is a tiny knife that is about as helpful as a chocolate kettle."

message 340: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
A figure in the neighboring tent caught her eye as well. Sebastian had come back. Guilt flashed in her again. She turned to Sabine and looked at her with a silent question. "Do you want to go into the next tent?"
Skyra couldn't act this way if she had to work with Sebastian, then again, she wasn't always a team player back at home when the Plats came around. The Plats were the another powerful dragon family, Platinum dragons, though their powers weren't as strong. It was their brilliant minds and strategy. Their knowledge. She pushed her past out of her mind, it didn't matter.
Listening to Sabine, her hand absently went to the hollow of her throat. "I know," in the two words were longing for her familiar control.

message 341: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine felt a little guilty for pointing out the obvious, especially since it upset Skyra so, so she sat on her bum again. Her head turned to see the shadow a muscular figure threw the thin material of the tent. Her eyes went wide. "Oh my God," she breathed, then suddenly crawled out of the tent. If there was a hot guy around here, she was sure too meet him.

Skyra's eyes widened. "Sabine, that's..." the girl had run out of the tent before she could even finish. Trying not to expose skin from her slip, she carefully followed Sabine as the girl burst into the other tent. Skyra just stared at Sabine to see her reaction to Sebastian while she also was dealing with what she saw. Sebastian had grew his hair gently, making a more spiked look with his dark clothing. It took everything for Skyra not to gape at the transformation.

message 343: by Jasmine (last edited Sep 08, 2013 08:53AM) (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine burst threw the tent's entrance, to see a strange - but hot - guy. She gave off a sly smile, happy with what she saw. She also fluttered her eylashes flirtatiously. He was muscular, he was slick, he was unbelievable attractive, he was...
Oh god he was Sebastian.
Never had a smile vanish so fast as Sabine's did. "Ew," she said, recoiling in disgust. "Ew ew ew ew ew ew." With each word, she shook her head.

Skyra couldn't help but burst into laughter at Sabine's face. Though she had to admit... no she couldn't, she wouldn't let herself think those thoughts about Sebastian. He was not to be trusted. Right? Her laugher stopped as she turned over the very thought. Her past wouldn't let her anyway. Her eyes diverted behind her, to break connection with both of them.

"Oh, get over yourselves." Sebastian huffed, examining his fingernails with a rather large amount of interest.
"You two aren't the hottest things on Earth either." He added, conjuring up a new journal for himself. It was empty and clean, and it seemed foreign to him. He liked his old one, with it's battered edges and intricate drawings. But whatever. He'd get over it.
He adjusted his sitting position to Indian-style, feeling rather comfy. At the moment he was wearing worn-down jeans he stole, a dusty blue t-shirt, and a red hoodie. His bare feet were exposed to the elements, but he had a rather large suitcase filled with other forms of attire he had also stolen.

Skyra rolled her eyes as she plopped herself down between them so that they formed a triangle. With a yawn, she laid down in her slip, awaiting for dinner. Fredrick probably was a good cook, he seemed to know what he was doing near the fire. Her eyes glanced at the suitcase. "Shopping recently?" She smirked, raising her eyebrows. More like stolen.

message 348: by [deleted user] (new)

Sebastian simply frowned in response to Skyra.
"Y'know, your mood swings aren't as charming as you think they are." He said, eyes dropping back down to his journal, a pen in hand as he began to scribble.

message 349: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jasminethetallirishflower) Sabine sat on the ground, her face in her hands. She felt absolutely disgusting (and trying to forget Sebastian's comment about their looks). If hunters suddenly burst into camp, she'd gladly be slain. In fact, they could just give her a sword and she'd do the job herself.

Skyra's eyes flitted up to meet his own, but they were drawn down into a journal. Guilt flushed her cheeks and she took a breath to collect herself. She wasn't trying to be off, really she wasn't. Now that she was normal again, she supposed he had to see that by just not saying anything.
Then her gaze slid to poor Sabine, who was ashamed. "I thought the same thing too," she whispered into her ears, trying to cheer her up. Well, she kind of did, except it was more... serious.
