@Hina --
I will finish Bride by Mistake which is set in summer by tomorrow --- did you get that one?
Great job everyone!!

We've had the addition of a few new Teams,
Who are also sharing our TTRC dreams.
It only seems fair they should get a chance,
at all those puzzles that hold you, as well as entrance.
But I don't want to leave you out of the fun,
so you'll get an opportunity, too, at those NOT done.
I'll give extra hours to Banana Mania, Forest Green, and Pewter & Cadet Blue,
who also has a lot of members who are new, too.
Still, all the rest of you are granted forty-eight.
“Rev Your Engines!” to get a running start at the gate.
I've given you some important links below.
Remember, there are more links in Post #1, to the puzzles, you know?
Okay, 48 hours to you, and 72 hours for the Teams that are new.
I'm excited! Let me see how many cupcakes you can accrue.
Oh! By the way, your time starts now!
Stop reading this and get working. Holy Cow!
Here is where to post!
Cupcake Puzzle Crazy 48 Hour End for Old Teams
Cupcake Puzzle Crazy 72 Hour End for New Teams
Captain Cupcake's World of Puzzles & Cupcakes - All Puzzles & Cupcakes since the beginning of Round II. Make-up Cupcakes will be put here, until we can transfer them to the individual months. Links to puzzles are also at the top of each column on the spreadsheet.

May Puzzles for Cupcakes

I don't love sliders, but I can probably do it later today.....just for completeness :-)

I tried several times with that one, but could never get it solved.
Thank you for hanging in there with it.

I did part of it while on the phone with my mom and then cooking dinner last night. In small doses it was better. And also I had to look up the cover because it wasn't laid out how I thought :-D

I know when I did them, I always had to look up the cover as doing it blind rarely worked out well. :)

New word puzzle which I will put in the puzzle group.

The “Cutthroat Competitor Cupcake” is coming!
This is a cupcake that’s NOT fooling around.
Hard to conquer, but your BAPs will surely mound.
You thought the “Triple Threat” was hard to earn?
This one’s NOT vinegar; yet, neither is it sauterne.
This cupcake counts as ‘cuatro’ – which translates to four.
With a 350,000-word-endurance, these books are worth tons more.
This Captain will give you four BAPs to really increase your points.
After all that page turning, this isn’t one that disappoints.

Announcement:![]()
With regards to “Cutthroat Competitor Cupcakes,” 350,000 words = 1,400 pages.
However, keep in mind that for some of the longer books they squeeze more words on per page. We go by word count first, when we can find it, then refer to WorldCat.
Sooooo... that is why sometimes you will see an 800 or 900 page book count as a “Cutthroat Competitor.”
Also, your Captain has a link to a list of approved books, to which we will continue to add. Thus far they are:An American Tragedy
Atlas Shrugged)
A Breath of Snow and Ashes
The Civil War, Vol. 1: Fort Sumter to Perryville
The Count of Monte Cristo
A Dance With Dragons
The Fiery Cross
A Storm of Swords
It
Les Misérables
Sacajawea
Voyager
The Wise Man's Fear![]()

Although I have to say its a bit of a pain to keep having to trade -up.

137 and 139 are nasty jigsaws which I love so I'll tackle them. But I'll work on 137 first so if someone wants to do 139 go ahead. I'll check back before starting it.
139: (remember to change the pieces to 247 piece triangles) http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...
136 is a Spot the Differences

138 is one of those killer encrypted quotes specifically for JoLene ;)

There is another encryption as well.

I doubt very seriously if there will be any more 'trade ups.' It isn't fun for us, either. That is why there is such a big jump to the "Cutthroat" and why it is worth so much more.

Puzzle 141 is up for grabs. (spot the differences)

Thanks Hina but it's one of those that works better (for my anyway) just to say the names out loud and when I hear a repeat I make a tick mark. Only took about an hour to complete.

Just so you know, During Oct there will be another Readathon......hopefully we will get more details soon :-)

I am fine with Readathons....its easier not to have to plan anything except what we were already planning on reading during that time....definitely less restrictive.
I can't believe we are already coming so close to the holiday...I am already seeing ads/promotion for holiday shopping and its not even October.

Sonia will probably post on Friday or Saturday. She getting some of the kinks out.

You're kidding? Amazing.

You're kidding? Amazing."
Yup! I am actually dreading the closer we get to the holidays! Then the radio will play nothing but christmas music and at work we are tuned into it. I like christmas music as the next person, but 8 hours at work listening to that for a month drives me crazy.

Nope...and at work we are very unfortunate in terms of finding a good station without static...so the only good radio station without static that does not have the whole office in an uproar tends to play way too many christmas music during the holidays....I can literally pinpoint the day it happens. lol.

I know...we get the classical music station static free, but only me and another co worker like classical music, while everybody complained that it was putting them to sleep. I have just gotten better at tuning out the radio altogether.

This one would keep them awake:

K-mart (department store) started running lay-away commercials last week. It's way too early for Christmas!
