I would highly recommend you join the Moderator Support Group on goodreads. You can get almost any question you have answered there.

Hi again! So I'm curious, does anyone know how to change the font whenever you type on goodreads? Not italics or bold just when the letters looking pretty awesome, is all. Thanks! ^.^
When there are like more than a thousand editions of the book you want to read, is there an easy way to find the edition you'll be reading? Or do I have to check out all of the thousand-something editions?

If that particular edition has been cataloged, it should appear in your search results.
Also, when you click "all editions" you can change the format (paperback, Kindle, audiobook, etc) you're searching for, in order to narrow it down.

Unfortunately the coding on the website doesn't support other font types so you can only make the basic changes: italic, bold, etc.
Susy wrote: "Thx Lisa! I will check it out on my laptop (don't see any sorting possibilities in my iPhone app)."You are most welcome :)
If it's a physical copy you have, there is the "scan books" feature on the phone, but I've never personally tried it so no clue as how (or if) it works :)
Susy wrote: "No it's an iBook.... No isbn or anything either..."Google and Amazon are my best friends when it comes to figuring editions out.
I'm not an Apple user, but what I usually do is : if you can find out what publishing house it is and/or the publication date, Amazon could be used to search for the ISBN and then you could use that to find the correct edition on Goodreads.
It's kind of a roundabout way of doing things but yeah.... :D

Thanks very much for that. I thought there was a shortcut - it will save me so much time. Thanks again.

hi girls I hope you are all well I had someone ask me a question in the Marathon challenge I am running and even though I did answer her i told her I would post it here to make sure she has the right answer. What about books that we've been reading prior to July 1st, but complete reading between July 1st and September 30th? Would they count, too?
I have always counted my book count based on the day I finish them not the day I start them so I told her as long as they were finished between the three months of the challenge it counts.is that wrong?
Blagica
No I do that to Blagica:) Of course if someone only want to count if they are started that month that's fine to, but I count date finished too.
Hi, is there a way to pin a post? I want to pin my members corner post so I dont have to search for it when I want to update. I have searched but I havent found anything :/
frkvinter wrote: "Hi, is there a way to pin a post? I want to pin my members corner post so I dont have to search for it when I want to update. When does the October book of the month reading begin and how do we know when there is discussions on the books for the month?
Hi, the group read for October starts the 1st of the month, you can find the discussion topics here. We are reading Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman! We have a group read every month, you can currently nominate a book for November with the theme togetherness. Soon there will be a poll to vote for the November group read!
Hope this answers your question :)
Jennifer wanted to know if there going to be another challenge like the triathlon in the next quarter? I really enjoyed that challenge.Rest assured that if there is not one this quarter, there will be another marathon challenge down the road. Lots of folks enjoy them!
Debra wrote: "is there going to be another 4th quarter challenge? or is it just the one?"There will be a second one up soon. Apologies for the delay!
Is there any way that the Race to the Finish challenge which was used last year could be included in the Quarter 4 challenges? I found it a great challenge to have an overview of what was required to finish challenges and also along the lines of a Triathlon or Marathon challenge a great stimulant to read more than normal?
Hi Amanda, we are not doing that as a 4th quarter challenge this year, but I would encourage you to set that challenge for yourself :)
hi Ladies I have a question as you all know I am on the welcome committee, is there a way to delete duplicate names? I just sent out three welcome letters to 3 people with the exact same profile information. I don't mind sending them out at all I'm just curious if you have seen dups before. the three names are Kyle, Louie, Herb,
thanks
Blagica
I have a question -- I know there is a poll posted about which challenge will be returning next year. Will you only be bringing back the challenge that gets the most votes, or is there a chance more than one of those challenges will be brought back? Just curious. Thanks :)
not trying to bother anyone just had a question. Did you ladies plan on starting January off with the Marathon Challenge? if so would you like me to lead it?
We are still working on that Blagica, but it is an excellent idea, and you are always our first ask when it comes to leading the marathons.

Hi, do you know if changes/edits to "old" comments show in the notifications or only when a new comment is added to a thread?
Ilona wrote: "❀✿ Gem ✿❀ wrote: "Any idea when the member corners folder for 2018 will be put up?"Folder is up! :)"
Thank you! I got organized yesterday! Ya'll are awesome.
Ilona wrote: "As fas as I know, only new comments show up in notifications."Yes, I thought so too. I was wondering because I see a lot of people reserving comments for their challenges. When they edit those in the course of 2018, we won’t know, seeing that we don’t get a notification....
You won't get a notification for edited comments. People reserve comments in their member feeds because they like to have all their challenges in a row. I haven't even started my member thread because I still don't know how many challenges I'm doing.
Susy wrote: "I was wondering because I see a lot of people reserving comments for their challenges. When they..."Last year, being my first year in the group, it took me for forever to set up my challenge thread just because I had no clue what to expect. I ended up reserving something along the lines of 150 comments that later got removed as the months passed, which is why all my comments are created on December 16th 2016 and then edited. In retrospect, 150 reserved spots might have been overkill since I now have 46 messages and 6 of those are just reserved spots :D Something tells me the perfectionist in me will do the exact same thing this year :D lol
Lol I did the same Lisa. I keep them reaerved though since I never know how many challenges I will have ^^
Winter wrote: "Lol I did the same Lisa. I keep them reaerved though since I never know how many challenges I will have ^^"What I meant with that I deleted the reserved comments was more in terms of, for instance, if I don't join any challenges in a given month and that month passes, then I delete the two spots I had reserved. Case in point, I didn't join any monthlies in May or June, so the 4 comments I had reserved for those months, I just deleted once I knew I wouldn't be participating in any. That way it provides me a more clear overview and appears more clean cut, in my opinion :)
