I read this book last month.A very touching book. I had no idea when I started the book that I would be reading about teenagers struggling with cancer. Green is very clever with his use of symbolism throughout the book. He writes about the characters of Hazel and Augustus (Gus)so well that you actually feel like you know them. The foreshadowing in the book helps you predict what is really happening before Green actually writes the words. Even so, it grabs you emotionally. This is a must read book for adults and teens.
I swear that Woodley looks like the elder sister of one of my old classmates. They could be twins if she wasn't two years older. It's simply not nice to post a picture from her on the internet otherwise I would show you all.
I loved this book. It changed so many points of view I had about life. It's beautiful. One of my fav books ever
I actually want to read this book over and over again but on the other hand I don't want to read the ending again. Man I cried much. Still after the movie I'm going to read it again.
I love this book! I would definitely read it again. And I love the conversations hazel and augustus would have, they were both such unique protagonists. I really didn't see that ending coming. :(

Has anyone seen the movie yet? I thought it was a great adaptation (although not as good as the book obviously!)It was also a little strange that the leads in the movie are brother and sister in the Divergent movie :o
Ikr! But Shailene and Ansel are the perfect Hazel and Augustus *_*And they are also perfect as Tris and Caleb <3
yes I thought they did quite well as Hazel and Augustus. I wasn't so sure about her as Triss, but once I saw the movie she won me over ;)
I did not see the movie. I don't want to right now because I just read the book. I will probably catch it when it comes out on DVD. I thought the book was great. It was pretty much exactly what I expected, but better somehow. I think I just like his writing style.
I understand. There was over a year for me between the book and the movie. I think Augustus' character was bordering on annoying arrogance in the film which I didn't find him at all in the book. But I guess that is always a challenge translating books to film
That would really bother me. He didn't come across as arrogant in the book at all. I'm glad I decided to wait.
Read this book on a recommendation of a friend, and oh my God! Couldn't pick up another book for a while. Just beautiful.
I've seen his books around... well, a lot. So which one should I read first? Which one will addict me right off the bat.
The fault in our stars is what hooked me Karen. It's so raw beautiful and true that seeing this in a book portrayed as perfectly as it was definitely made me a fan. There aren't many love stories that are realistic Enuff to not only grab my attention but make me believe that there's a guy like that for me :) but this is just my opinion
I read this one recently too, and thought it was pretty good. Very predictable, but cute.

My answer to the question in spoiler tags may contain more spoilers....
(view spoiler)[ I thought that she was incredibly cruel. I know that she was young and that they were not married, so I don't expect her to have a "till death do us part" level of commitment, but I didn't expect her to just abandon him when he was at his lowest point, either.
I did think that the way that Gus encouraged him to handle it was rather funny, though. (hide spoiler)]
