Awww!
John Green is a very innovative author.
I love the way he handles the CANCER issue. He makes it okay for characters not to feel okay. He gives us an insight to what actual cancer patients feel.
He makes his novel real .
And that what makes his novel tug at the strings of my heart.
God! This the book I've read for him but he's one of my favorite authors so far.

Because it has a bigger picture.
I wanna read Looking for Alaska soon.
I've heard it's pretty good. I bought it last week and it's still sitting on my shelf untouched.

OMG! I've read Beautiful Bastard last week and thought it sucked.
It is my usual type of books but I just couldn't connect with the characters.

I have recently read several New Adult books and I found all of them to my liking. I think this new genre has its UNIQUE appeal to the reader.

This is a list of the NA books I've enjoyed reading:

Fallen Too Far (Too Far, #1) by Abbi Glines Never Too Far (Too Far, #2) by Abbi Glines Twisted Perfection (Perfection, #1) by Abbi Glines Resisting Her by Kendall Ryan Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1) by Jamie McGuire
Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2) by Katie McGarry On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young Down London Road (On Dublin Street, #2) by Samantha Young

Bárbara Ventura (bventura) I'm reading this book right now!! Any tips, comments?

Ardra GREAT book!

message 321: by Amy (new) - rated it 3 stars

Amy | 16 comments I found this book through tumblr. Someone said to stop everything & read the book, so I did! Having just recently beaten cancer, I can't say that I was thrilled to find out the characters were waging their own battle!
But I found myself engrossed. I love how John Green writes!

Isabella (isabellabellab) I really likes TFIOS but sometimes I ask myself I I liked it because well I liked it or because I expected it to be fantastic and knew everyone else thought so so I automatically did too.
I've come to the conclusion that seeing it everywhere made me think a lot more about it and notice more of the fantastic things that I might've not noticed if I didn't read everyone's else opinion on it. Because honestly I did love it - not because everyone else did but well because it was hard not to. I've only read the Danish translation so far but I bought the English one recently and I can't wait to reread it

I've questioned myself at first but then I came to the same revelation: I love TFIOS because of its universal message.
It's John Green's masterpiece.

I know teenagers who are now married and have a few kids each. Nothing lasts forever though. Whether you die at 17 or 71 doesn't really matter. I think that is the point if this book; it shows you need to live because one day it might all come to an end quickly. Look at your life and if you don't regret not doing something you have lived. If you do then you need to put yourself out there. I am only twenty two and I don't want to die soon but if the lord were to take me I would not be upset. I have lived a full life full of messy mistakes and achievements. If I remember correctly Gia said "I have been through heaven hell, in between above it under it, and back again. When I think about all the roads I have traveled to get here and all the mistakes, I know it was worth it." Mind you I am recalling this from memory so don't get mad if I left something out.

Claire (porpoiseful) | 7 comments I think TFiOS tells us that we live, and we should keep living, because the present is important - not the past, and not the future. We will all fade into non-existence, and our footsteps may not linger, but the mere fact that we have lived- the impression our lives have made against the fabric of time - is phenomenal.

Christiana (nana-reads) One of my favourite books!
Even though I'm lucky enough to be healthy and free of cancer, I found my self relating to Augustus and Hazel.
Great book, it made me realise how many different reactions people have to death.
Great, great, great! This book is made out of awesome!

Sophie | 1 comments WARNING CONTAINS A GIGANTIC SPOILER!!!

This book was amazing. I loved being able to relate to the characters, even though I don't have cancer. They're still normal people. Correction: AWESOME people. This is being made into a movie, which actually disappoints me, because this book was one of those that I have a very specific image of in my head and I don't want some bad director to turn the point of this book around.

When Augustus died, a little part of me did too!!! I was so upset. He was so amazing and awesome and I very nearly fell in love with a fictional character. It was funny how he kept misusing large words and was really cocky and stuff. He rocked.

Cassandra (cassandra_ray) I loved this book so much! I kept putting off reading it because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I was pleasantly surprised! This is one of my favorite books now, it was amazing and I will definitely read it again many times!!

message 329: by Ashley (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ashley (sw_ash_buckler) | 3 comments I absolutely adore this book! Obviously there was a lot of hype about it, so I had put off reading it for a while. That was a mistake! Yes, it was incredibly sad, but it is such a beautifully written story. This is my favorite John Green book! A word of advice: do not read this immediately after finishing Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. I did, and had puffy, red eyes for days.

message 330: by Sreeja (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sreeja Kondeti This is a brilliant book, I cannot believe how much I cried. The book was slightly predictable though. But I loved it nevertheless.

saoirse (saoirse_meows) | 2 comments I love the book and thought it was the other best book apart from ' The light between the oceans' by ML Stedman. The simplicity of the language used for the storyline affected neither its poignancy nor potency. It is just amazing - simple and touching. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel.

saoirse (saoirse_meows) | 2 comments Although the protagonists died, piteously young, I was not bitten by the 'fatalistic gall' that would have spolit the overall impression of the book.

message 342: by Rosie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Rosie (rosiee_xxx) This book is so beautifully written, and the storyline and characters are just as beautiful. Definitely a book I will be able to read again and again.

Kohinoor | 8 comments I just finished this book and loved it. I liked how the book was more about two kids falling in love that their journey (the beautiful and tragic aspects of love), and not really 2 kids that have cancer. I can't wait to see the movie.

Michelle | 14 comments I am currently reading this book, and loving it. I've laughed out loud and shed some tears.

Aisya Raisya (aisyaraisya) | 23 comments Its beautiful book. Remind us to always be grateful for what we have.

Aliwilson | 6 comments It was a magnificent book I read it in only 2 hours but it was a disappointing book I thought it was built up socially but when I read it all I could think was what bought these peoples minds this book is the same as any other romance book out there though another book by John Green: An Abundance of Katherine's was a spectacular book

Jessica That was an incredibly difficult run-on sentence to decipher.

Autumn (autumnmemory80) Am I the only one with a heart of stone that did not cry? I felt it was way too predictable. Beautifully written yes, but for me just an okay book. My ideal ending (view spoiler).

Jennifer Pawlowski (jpsabresfan78) The Fault in Our Stars I loved this book!!! It was good. I can't wait to read the muse of this books, book.
