Question Of The Day
I thought it was a joke too at first about the 50 movie. But has such a strong following the books. They are working on a cast so I last saw on Yahoo. Top book that comes to mind for me though that shouldn't have became a movie is
really great YA werewolf book. But the movie version was craptastic.
Agreed!!! I loved that book and remember being excited at first when I heard it would be a movie. Then I saw it and was very annoyed
Another one that comes to mind is
I loved that book as a kid and for no reason at all they made the movie creepy, weird, and the child was a complete monster. It came off like a quiet horror/dark psychological film. And this coming from the person who loves dark and horrific, just not from a beloved book that wasnt like that at all
Oh man that sucks. I loved that book as a child as well Shari. VERY glad I didn't see that movie either.
Still nothing comes to my mind. Haven't heard of "Blood and Chocolate" and never saw the movie. Haven't read "Where the Wild Things are" either and therefore never went to see the movie. I think my problem is that half of the movies I have seen I am not aware of that they originate from a book and either I have read the book but never saw a movie to it or I saw the movie and didn't read the book or I found that both were crap or both were good (but different). It is quite weird. :/

Borrowed in from a friend and my best friends sisted janked it from me *grrrr*
Manuela wrote: "Hello Carlena, been on fb, almost missed you. How are you?"Sweet Cheez-its! Its Manuela!!!! Im doing pretty good. I was depressed the last couple days and didnt do much but drive people around and sleep. Im slowly getting out of that funk. Every now and then depression just takes over. I refuse to take the meds for it, so i have to live with the effects.
How are you sweet cheeks?
I am ok. Had my bout of unhappiness last night. must have been too tired. I threw my burger on the floor after I dropped half of it anyway and went back to bed. Hubby had to clean up. I am fine now that i can chat with you. I know about depression and yes I don't do meds either. Just been out of it for a few months after a bout of about a year. Should see my place, it is a disgrace. I never used to be like that but I am married now and hubby causes a lot of sorrow and grief. I am worried about his health and the docs are not very helpful either...
Sorry to hear you are going through such a difficult time with things Manuela. Really hope that you can get beyond all the depression stuff to the other side. Big hugs.New Question- What's the last book that made you cuss/curse out loud? Or that you actually felt you learned something from?
I cussed at Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix all the time. I punched the book, screamed at it, even threw it across the room. I hate umbridge. Lol
Thanks Cherale, I just need a kick in my back side. :) I'll get back on track eventually...Cursing is not in my language, that is against my religion and it makes my ears bleed.
The last f@$&*&g book that made me sound like a crazy b^5&h was
.
The Cat in the Hat. I read that to my cousin the other day. I don't care what anyone says that cat was a friggin nuisance.I made a point of telling my cousin that if talking cats showed up to the house with a box, 1) Don't open the door and 2) Tell your momma you need to see a doctor
Carlena wrote: "I cussed at Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix all the time. I punched the book, screamed at it, even threw it across the room. I hate umbridge. Lol"I read only the first one and fell asleep all the time, Had no chance to curse :(
But I liked the movies. :)
Shari-amor wrote: "*Hugs* I hope it gets better Manuela! You too Carlena. *Hugs*"thank you Shari. ~smooches~
Lol. I loved all 7 Harry potter books (except I didn't finish the 4th) the movies don't do the books justice Manuela. :)

HAHA best thing I've heard about Dr. Seuss. I swear the things used to always freak me out in those books. Like what the hell are these things and why would you let them in with a talking cat?
I always hoped that my cat would talk to me someday and would be a gorgeous looking hunk in real life (shifter). But alas it never happened... Would that have been cheating?
Only if you do more with the cat than feed him catnip, Manuela. O_OAnd since you brought it up. Those stories with the human character that takes in a stray and they are this magical being that turns into a human later on and they hook up with the human has always wigged me out a bit lol. Going from one form of petting to another, definitely something different going on with Mr. Whiskers for sure.
Yes, because those shifters are human in the first place. So it's still human to humanesque in one form or another. I'm speaking on the stories that are more like this>
, actual cat get turns human and wants to do their owner. Always gives me that kind of wigged out feeling lol.
She was a beloved pet and then turned human and you get involved. That sounds creepy.....Im gonna read it
LOL, I love ya Shari. I don't want to read that sort of thing personally but I feel like Lot's wife. I want to know what you find out Shari. As my skin crawls at the thought of the kitty getting petted in a whole different way, haha.
hehe! Man thats sounds creepy when u put it like that. Good thing I don't really care for cats to let it bother me. Now a puppyon the other hand *shudders* Thats just wrong :-P
It's all wrong, considering how many times pets are all over their owners to begin with. And imagine going from your lap for a cuddle, to making out. Yea, I gotta stop, I've just shoved Gracie off the couch for licking my arm, lol.
Ha, my mom has been doing the same all week for Gracie. She's going through the lovely fine hair shedding phase and there is stray hairs all over. I've never vacuumed so much in my life. Thinking of getting one of those hand held ones and just hold her down and suck the loose hair off her that way to save time.
Hate when animals shed especially when you have furniture where its easily noticeable and hard to get up
Dhfan4life wrote: "Yes, because those shifters are human in the first place. So it's still human to humanesque in one form or another. I'm speaking on the stories that are more like this>[bookcover:Cat Maiden|1077304..."I think I read that one or something similar years ago. I wouldn't mind...
But it is not true that those shifters are human in the first place as the Katagaria are the ones with the animal heart who can turn human while the Arcadians are the humans who can turn animal.
Shari-amor wrote: "She was a beloved pet and then turned human and you get involved. That sounds creepy.....Im gonna read it"
LOL that you would jump on this one, hahaha so typical. ~grin from ear to ear~
You girls are so funny. Hair on couch... vacuuming the pet... I have been through all of it years ago and gave up eventually. You decide to live with a pet, you deal with the hair. ~smirk~
Manuela wrote: "Dhfan4life wrote: "Yes, because those shifters are human in the first place. So it's still human to humanesque in one form or another. So even they know that doing it like animals with humans is kind of skeevy. :P
And that is true on accepting the hair. But not at every turn though.
Well according to the blurb of your story it says she had been turned into a woman, so it is the same to me. She was afraid to be turned into a cat again as it would obvisiously make it hard to do all the sexy stuff anymore.
But the difference Manuela is that the animals that were used to create the Arcadians and Katagaria, weren't someone's pets before hand. Nobody was stroking and petting on lions, tigers, bears oh my before they were magically enhanced to become humans/take human form(the humanESQUE part there). Kind of comparative if Lassie became a real girl and started dating Timmy instead of telling someone he was lost in the well lol.
yeah I hear ya Cherale, I kind of give up, I liked it. But I do find your Lassie comparison funny. :)
Manuela wrote: "yeah I hear ya Cherale, I kind of give up, I liked it. But I do find your Lassie comparison funny. :)"Thought you would. ;)
And the book is acceptable for what? I lost track of the original discussion.

Oh I'm far from flustered. Sims is on my nerves though. >_< Invisible woman is not as fun as the invisible man was.
