I just mean because I like coke and I am not really fussed on/with/of pepsi >_<

Ah well Shari was being especially ornery. We need to get her a Dom ;) lol

*turns on radio* I'd love to dance!
You know I wonder how those kids who just know what they're gonnna be in life and stick with it no matter their circumstance. I'm always in awe of that.

I don't know either how someone could stick to their childhood plans. One of my schoolmates from 1st grade became a heart specialist because his dad and his granddad had been doctors before. My mom used to work for his dad. We played together but have no contact anymore, sadly.
I always knew what I don't want, not really helpful as a career choice.

See that has to take a lot of dedication to stick with that dream.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you become that?"
A writer even tho when I was little I hated reading books LOL. So very odd o_o. Didn't become it and most likely won't go in that direction since even very, very well known authors don't make much money at all anymore. x.x and during these economic times that just doesn't work out when ure on ur own lol.

New question - To my 10 year old self I would say "it gets better" and "follow your own dreams, not what other people want you to do" and thinking about it I would probably want to hear something similar from my 60 year old self :) maybe with a little "it's all worth it" thrown in there as well.
Who wouldn't want to hear its all going to get better ;)

from my 60 year old self: "just wait. greater things are on the way"

from my 60 year old self:"thanks for the decisions you made, we end up exactly where we wanted to be!!!"

60 year old self: Be free and live life the way you want, never be ashamed of it.

Advice from 60 self: You have finally made it, there was some rough patches, but you have shook off the drama and trappings that tripped you up in your 20's and it's smooth sailing from here.
New Question- When feeling sick, what is your go to feel better solution?

I just feel very sorry for myself when I throw up :( but thankfully it doesn't happen very often anymore

Aw Ally. :-( That sounds bad. How long did the morning sickness last!? Hopefully it wasn't throughout your entire pregnancy.
I love tea Manuela. Tea just relaxes and makes me happy. Do you normally put anything in yours!? Did your mom make homemade chicken noodle soup!?

Oooh, I've always loved the smell of the herbal tea isle!
We used to live near a tea emporium and they made the most amazing teas, my hubby is a tea fiend :)

And I'm jealous. A tea emporium!? A place just dedicated to different teas! That sounds lovely. What kind of different teas have you tried!?

The tea emporium is amazing, the shop is on the ground floor and the cafe is in the basement, really old and lovely, decorated with antique tea pots, beautiful.
My favourite were their jasmine bomb things (don't know the name) the come in a little ball that is put in a glass teapot and as it brews the ball uncurls to show a beautiful flower. Just lovely and a really subtle flavour as well :) I miss that place! Must visit!

We have a tea shop in Adelaide in the Markets and in my hometown in Germany there was a tea shop as well. I do love tea. I discovered Twinings Infusions for me. They have a Camomille with Vanilla & Honey and Raspberry, Strawberry & Loganberry flavours. When I am sick I have Pure Camomille with honey.

What i do really depends on the sickness. If it is anything to do with my stomach, Vernors is usually my first choice. (sorry..Ginger Ale) It is a pretty strong ginger pop. (also mixes very well with wiskey). I tend to drink lots of cranberry juice if it is most anything else. I occasionally do chicken noodle soup but not often.
Otherwise my usual go to is sleep, sleep and more sleep. or at least lots of time cozy in bed, or on the couch watching TV.

Can't drink Cranberry juice. I've tried that once and it just does not settle well on my stomach.
Wow really sorry to hear about the time you had while preggars, Ally. That had to really be quite the lifetime experience being sick like that.
My folks are into Vernor's as well Valerie. I went along with it when I was younger. But I'm older now and definitely more of a Canada Dry fan myself. Having some saltines, chicken noodle soup, and even though I can't stand it, that theraflu stuff really helps too. Plenty of sleep helps as well.
New Question- What are your thoughts on banning books?

I don't know, usually banning makes people aware and then more read it as would have if everything would have kept 'hush, hush'. Sometimes I think it is dangerous if someone publishes halftruths or lies but then it is up to the reader to make his or her mind up. If someone would have fed them those lies verbally they still would have believed them. It is an educational thing to believe the written word more or to read between the lines and put whatever you read in perspective to the authors personal and politicial views. Would not promote banning but maybe a warning or a rating like dvds and games have to make sure that books end up in suitable hands.

I know this has been debated in many areas and has been very public. I mean, someone could say they want the bible banned because it is too violent, etc etc. Think that would work? I hold firm to read what you like & want (except for school books of course...most of those we don't want to read but have to) and leave the rest alone! I don't want anyone telling me what i should like/think/be. I agree w/Manuela on a possible warning/rating. Espeically if it had a rating for the sex content..would help me to avoid some of them (not into book porn as i like to call it. Kenyon is as close as i get)

But I don't mean you have to leave now... I like you big time I don't want you to go, don't understand me wrong, aaarrrgghh I shouldn't say anything further without my solicitor... ~grin~

So it is 2:30 in the morning and I have to go to bed for a few hours before my alarm says get up and go to work... hugs
