Awww thanks Carlena, You too!!!!

When I was younger I had plans for my life and then I was 29 1/2, looked back at what I had achieved and panicked, big time. Now I am over 40 (for the record my b-day was on May 21st) and apart from having children, or at least one child I have no plans anymore. Just made it official that I have a new cat, Marvin is his name. Posted a pic earlier in this thread (message 375, pg.8), so I won't do that again. I want to loose a bit of weight and I want to clean my house (had been neglected for a year as I was suffering a bout of depression). I am getting better at things and look forward to the small daily achievements.
Do plans always come in threes? I have been told that men cannot have more than three things on their lists (either the ones they make themselves or the ones they have been given by their wifes/partners/girlfriends). And I was wondering why hubby hasn't done anything on the multiple lists I have been giving him. LOL ;)
We have half a year to see 5 movies (christmas present from hubby), I need my passport (a new one the old expired) extended and we need to save for our trip to Germany. So, that's three!!!

message 654: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments My birthday is on Monday, so I've not got much time ;)
But then I've applied for Uni now :) so that's a big goal. I guess my only goals over the next weekend are to have fun, get some reading done and spend some time with my hubby :D

message 655: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Awwwe Ally, little things make the life so worth while. I hope you get into the Uni of your choice and that the weekend will be all that you thought it would be.

message 656: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments Your right there, it's certainly the little things that get me through each day :D in the end all that matters is the difference we make and the happiness we find in life :)

New Question- Whose excited about Under the Dome coming this Monday? Or for those that don't know. Another Stephen King classic has been made into a TV series for the summer. Based off his book- Under the Dome by Stephen King

message 660: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Not a Steven king fan, so ill pass. I'm a scardy cat! Lol

message 661: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I'm excited. I seen the previews and they looked pretty good. I been a King fan since I was a kid but not of his newer stuff. So I'm excited to see what he did with this project

message 662: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Sorry I watch hardly any telly anymore (at least not when I am alone at home) but what I have seen it looks interesting. With my luck its on wednesday nights when I am not at home so I might miss it.

message 663: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I'm with you Carlena. I've seen Rose Red, one about a hospital, The Mist(which that movie still annoys me actually), and I think another one. But have NEVER read his books at all. SOOOOOO not my thing. I'm recording Dome for my dad that loves him. I'm just excited for So you think you can dance, Devious Maids, Drop Dead Diva is back as is Royal Pains, Switched at Birth and Pretty Little Liars. So my tv is definitely jam packed.

message 664: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I love so you can think you can dance.

message 665: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I still have to see last weeks. Have had so much other great stuff recorded that I have yet to get back to it. As well as the rest of the Voice. I'm lagging behind but will try and catch up with it today as much as I can.

message 666: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments You aint the only one lol. I'm still tryna catch up on all my spring shows. Don't you hate when so many of your favorite shows all come on at one time!?

message 667: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments YES!!! And even worse when they are all more or less at the beginning of the week. So you have not a single thing to see later on when you are caught up. >_< Very frustrating. But that is why I like when Fall gets here as they seem to know how to spread things out more. Although I'm not too sure about the Fall line up as they are forever cancelling shows left and right too. Ugh.

message 668: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments New Question- And piggy backing off Ally's idea a bit. But who of all Kenyon's characters would you not want as a worse enemy?

message 669: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Hands down Ash, but I think that's a given. The dude is super powerful. Second would be Zarek. He is crazy and a God. Lol

message 670: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Kenyon characters as in DH universe or Kenyonverse (including all her other series/books as well as her other pen names)?

DH - Savitar: I think although he has this laid back attitude, he is a very ruthless character as he has proved in the Omegrion over and over again.

the League - Darling Cruel: when pushed into a corner he is an absolute time bomb, not only because he specialises in explosives but also because he is under pressure from all sides, has to hide his true self. He has been on the other side (refering to his mental state) and come back. Anything could trigger him going there again.

Belador - Evalle: she is a mixed breed and a dangerous one, as she controls her change and her beast is so dangerous, that even the godess they are answering to would take her out. She is in a constant struggle to please everyone (godess, superior, friends, men of (love)interest), a powder keg ready to explode.

CoN - Death: He is kind of an ultimate character, isn't he?

WH - Mama Peltier: You don't want to mess with a female bear who has cubs. NEVER!!!

DH - the Dolophoni: ever faced a scarier army than those? Noone to call them off (only the fates, but why would they?)

I haven't read enough of the others to think about an enemy.

message 671: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments For me I think people like Ash, and Stryker could cause problems for you as an enemy but I also think they would be honourable enemy's.....so I'm leaning towards either Sav, as we know there are only one or two people he actually cares about, and I'm certainly not one of them (I'm also very good at saying the wrong thing, or being offensive without meaning too both of which would make him kill me instantly!) or the obvious Noir and Azura.
Other possibilities for me would be Jericho, Seth, Jaden or Thorn.....although Jericho and Seth might be a bit more lenient of things with their women in their lives....maybe!?!
Jaden and Thorn seem to hold some serious power and we don't know much about them yet....so could be deadly to be their enemy.

From the CON universe I have to say Nick (or Ambrose really) because we've had hints that as Ambrose he has done some bad things to people he calls enemy.

The league series I'm only just getting into but so far....Shahara, getting on her bad side would probably mean hurting her family which would cause her to inflict some serious bodily damage!!

Love this question!!
On the flip side - which would be your top loyal friends?? Based more on who would help keep you alive in that universe than who you would enjoy being friends with....although we of course would.
if I could choose 5 loyal friends, I think would choose, Ash, Thorn, Appolyimi, Syn and Nykyrian (a seriously powerful group for protection there!! - savitar isn't in there because as a friend of Ash's I think you would get Sav's loyalty too so I'm cheating a bit)

Wasn't expecting to write such a long reply, sorry for going off on a tangent at the end :S

message 672: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I agree with Manuela about Savitar. The man wiped out an entire species of were hunters because some idiots pissed him off. Thats a bit harsh. I love him so but damn. And when Takashi brought up hiding bodies for him when first training Ash, he laughed but I didnt take it as a joke.

message 673: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Yikes!

message 674: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Yikes? Who is he? ;) LOL

message 675: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol. I just didn't think of savitar. Lol.

message 676: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I love Thorn, he comes in as a close 4th fav after Darling, Vane and Val. But I don't know who and what he is and what the whole range of his Powers is. So I leave him out of it for the time being. He has been helpful to some characters but something lethal has been showing too.

message 677: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Thorn has Savitar beat. I forgot him. Did you read Fangs book Manuela!? It says who he is in that one. And it gives you more of an idea in that last Con book

message 678: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I would have to say that it is a tie between Ash's mom, Savitar, and to be honest the mysterious Braith.

New Question- What is one thing you wished the government didn't/couldn't tax?

message 679: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments FOOD!!

message 680: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I'm totally with Shari! Food please oh and books!

message 681: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I am with you Shari and Carlena, food and books lol I am pretty sure that in Germany stable foods (milk bread and similar) and books are lower taxed than clothes, electronics and white goods. At least it was like this when I left. ~grin~

message 682: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments White goods?

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Shari-amor wrote: "Thorn has Savitar beat. I forgot him. Did you read Fangs book Manuela!? It says who he is in that one. And it gives you more of an idea in that last Con book"

Fang as in Vanes brother and Aimee bear??? No I don't think I read their book but it was refered in books later that they were a couple. And I have read only the first three CoNs (but now I can continue chronological with book #4). So I guess I will have to get my hands on these books... :)

message 684: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments fridges, washing machines etc.

message 685: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Yep Vanes brother. Dark Moon Rising. You get very interesting information about Thorn and the hellchasers that work for him

message 686: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I thought it was Bad moon rising?

message 687: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I thought I read that one, must have been dreaming while going through it?!?!?!

message 688: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Lol I haven read it. I bought it when it came out but couldn't do it yet, then my friend asked if she can read it (she's and sk lover too) and watched her cry her eyes out. So it made me wait more lol.

message 689: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments lol thats what I meant. My brain is still half sleep

message 690: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Need some coffee Shari?

message 691: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I haven't read it yet, according to my list here on GR which is not reliable as I started only last year. But anyway, will get it again and read it if it gives me more info on Thorn.

message 692: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments More like electric shocks to the face. I'm not really a coffee drinker but I'd have to get a large cup of it for it to do something for me. You know how when you get drunk, everything moves really fast. thats how I feel after I drink it. Its a disturbing feeling

message 693: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I have no clue who thorn is. So ill just sit here and look pretty.

message 694: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments That's terrifying Shari, I'd never drink coffee if that were the case for me

message 695: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Shari-amor wrote: "More like electric shocks to the face. I'm not really a coffee drinker but I'd have to get a large cup of it for it to do something for me. You know how when you get drunk, everything moves really ..."

I am not a coffee drinker either it makes me ill. I drink an ice cold coke in the morning if I cannot wake up (meaning I read all night and had a max of 2 hours sleep). :)

message 696: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Normally if I went to Starbucks, I'd get a small baby sized coffee drink so no harm but a couple of months ago they came out with this caramel crunch frappicino deliciousness. It doesnt taste like coffee to me, it taste like ice cream with all my favorite toppings. I got a extra large cup of it. The world hated me that day. :-\
I hated me that day. No more large coffees for me!

message 697: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Carlena wrote: "I have no clue who thorn is. So ill just sit here and look pretty."

You look good, just sitting around. LOL

Thorn is a high level demon (as far as I know) with special powers and his own agenda. He lives in hell, at least I think he does. He is good looking and sinister, dark and dangerous, just like I like 'em.
(Whoever knows more about him please correct me if I am wrong!!!).

message 698: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments I can drink coffee most of the day. What keeps me awake is Mountain Dew and sweet tea. Jesus. I don't drink either of those after 7 pm. And I hardly ever drink Mountain Dew. I'm a Pepsi girl

message 699: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments You are most definitely correct Manuela.

And she's right. You look good sitting pretty Carlena. And nooow I have that I feel pretty song in my head
