They would tell me it's not my fault, the divorce. But after everything they put me through, I know it was. They drag me between homes every year. Back and forth. My mom's during school, and my dad's during the summer. And it's not entirely bad when your dad lives in Florida...
So when I first arrived in Florida, boys were sticking to me like feathers on tar. Not one has caught my eye... like I care though.
My best friend Katy says I'm to picky, but I always say if he is right for me, he will meet my standards.
Florida:"Dad. Do you remember when mom and you had just split? Four years ago? I was fourteen....."
((When I wrote this last night, I had a point, now I just sent remember... what do you want to happen?))
((How about he gives her a $100, and tells her to spend it on whatever she want. While shopping she sees hot boy, and he comes over to flirt with her))
((kk))"If you remember, my birthday is in one week. I was wondering if I could invite Katy here for a while??
((That mean. And ironic. It's not like I can control my loudness and blondness...))"Dad you know she's my best friend. She's everything I have after you and mom divorced. She was the one there for me. me I need her here."
((I wasn't infering you, and thought she should be blonde because all the Katy's that come to my mind have brown hair.))"I guess she can come, but she can only stay for two weeks. We need just us time."
"Time? Couldn't you and mom took your time to try one work things out? Ugh! You mAke everything so difficult!" I don't like yelling at my dad, but I just felt like it needed out of me. "I'm sorry." I whisper, before I walk silently to the stairs and up to my room. Making sure to slam the door once I'm inside.
I take a deep breath, and try to push all the negative energy out. To try to cheer myslef up, i called Katy to tell her the good news.
I could hear he excitement through the phones. "Really? You dad hates me! Are you sure we're talking about the same person??"
"Who cares if he doesn't like you. Just hurry and get your butt down here now, I could use anything to make it less award around here."
I hung up after the last sentence. Of course we said our good-byes and everything first.I layed down on my bed and let out an exaggerated sign. "Come quick Katy." That was the last thing I said befor I drifted off to sleep.
I barley slept, and at six-thrity I decided to get up because I knew I wouldn't be getting any more sleep.
As I treaded my way down the steps, I heard a loud noise coming from the kitchen. My gut told me to go get my father, but my head led me the rest of the way down the stairs. This was not good. When I made it down the rest of the stairs, tip-toed to the kitchen. There stood, half clothed was a boy. "Who are you?" I asked abrubtly. His face lit up when he say me standing there in my night clothes; a tank and little boy shorts.
He didn't say anything, just got a big grin on his face. I slowly started backing up, I tried not to make it obvious, but I guess he noticed. He took a small step towards me, and that's when I bolted.
I locked myself in my dads room, then ran to his side. "Dad! Wake up! Theres a strang boy in the house!" ((I'm thinking that we should make it to where her dad know's that the boy is in the house.))
((Yeah, maybe he should work around the house because the dad never has time))Dad jumped out of bed, and grabed a baseball bat he had in the corner. He then turned to me and put a finger up to his lips, motioning for me to stay quite. He slowly opened the door so it wouldn't make a noise, and then started creeping down the hall.
I trailed behind him, with my hands over my mouth. We walked down the steps, and turned the coner to fide the boy standing in the hall, looking like he was scared for his life.
"Stay still!" I shout, although I have no idea why. My dad lets the bat drop to his side, and then he does the most unimaginable; he laughs.
