I seem to be reading mostly PNR, UF and cozy mysteries lately, so I hope I do ok on these recs. If you need more, let me know.

Red Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec, I've heard good things about this and enjoyed the kindle sample, so I'd even be willing to do this as a buddy read if you want.

Orange You put book 1 as one of your favorites, so you need to see what happens next - Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Yellow The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister is a fun book taking place while filming a reality tv show set in historical times. Or you can enjoy and interesting chase with Hot by Julia Harper (this has the sweetest Great Dane puppy).

Green Delicious by Susan Mallery has an Penny coming back to her ex's restaurant to help save it.

Blue This was a no-brainer once I saw it on your pick-if-for-me shelf - Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is one of my all-time favorites, although you might crave Italian food and doughnuts while reading.

Indigo Open Season by Linda Howard is a good suspenseful romance or Mystery Man by Kristin Ashley, although you may want to hit the hero for 3/4s of the book (uber-Alpha).

Violet
Dangerous by Amanda Quick. I love her historicals because her heroines are always originals with a brain and the heroes always appreciate that about them.

Rainbow Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison, you don't have a lot of PNR, but this is one of the best.

And this doesn't fit anywhere, but I thought you might like it Enchanted, Inc. by Shanna Swedson is chic-lit paranormal where the heroine is special because she has no magic.

Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers, #1) by Tara Sivec Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister Hot by Julia Harper Delicious (Buchanans, #1) by Susan Mallery Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie Open Season by Linda Howard Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley Dangerous by Amanda Quick Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison Enchanted, Inc. I hope you like some of the picks. We had a lot of books in common and I wanted to find some that you haven't read before in addition to recommending books on your TBR that I thought were great. Please let me know if you don't see something that you like.

Red: Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning
Down to You by M. Leighton - I have not read this book, but I have heard there are definitely some steamy hot scenes in this book.

Orange: Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh

Yellow: High Noon by Nora Roberts
Shadow's Claim by Kresley Cole

Green: Phantom Evil by Heather Graham

Blue: Captured by Moonlight by Nancy Gideon. You rated the previous book very well, so I thought I would include this one in your list.
Divergent by Veronica Roth - This was one of my favorite books that I read last year.
Delirium by Lauren Oliver - This is another one of my favorites. It starts a little slow but picks up towards the end. The second book is even better than the first.

Indigo: Ione, Larissa - Desire Unchained

Violet: Run the Risk by Lori Foster
Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

Rainbow: Adrian, Lara - Kiss of Midnight
Richelle Mead - Vampire Academy

Ty | 1943 comments Hey Sallie(Shuga)! Hope you liked your picks. We have a lot of PNR/UF and historicals in common! Please let me know if you need me to repick any.

RED
(steamy) Arouse - I plan on reading it this month. So, I'm available for a buddy read on this!

ORANGE
(cover) Gunmetal Magic - while it's a companion novel to the Kate Daniels series, it's an ABSOLUTELY MUST READ
(autumn) It Happened One Autumn - My fave book of the series!

YELLOW
(summer) One Summer - an oldie but a goodie

GREEN
(outdoor) Exclusively Yours - nice read. The plot is set at a campsite.

BLUE
(cover) Jinx - cute, fun read
Second Grave on the Left - omgosh you have to continue this series!

INDIGO
(dark/suspenseful) To Die For - suspenseful AND hilarious
Unholy Ghosts - I don't normally recommend this, even though it's one of my favorite series ever, because it's not for the faint of heart. It certainly takes some getting used to, but in the end, it's incredibly worth the effort! hands down my 2nd favorite UF series (after Kate Daniels)

VIOLET
(winter) The Iron Daughter - much of this is set in the Unseelie Winter court. Not my fave of the series but needs to be read to get to the awesomeness of book 4.

RAINBOW
(cover) Prince Charming - I love all things Garwood.
(lgbt) Cut & Run - I think everyone will be reading this for March. :)

Truth in the Dark - Fairy tale

Orange:
Outfield Menace - Coming of age
Take My Picture - Funny contemporary

Yellow:
Yakuza Pride - Yakuza kinda says it all, right?
Almost Like Being in Love - I bought the paperback for this. A lot of people have said the ebook just doesn't do the format any favors. It's an epistolary novel.

Gaven - Dubcon/Fantasy
Lee's Story - Light BDSM and my favorite of this series.

Blue:
Aaron - ...you've read Enlightened, right?
The Ghost on My Couch - Funny Paranormal

Nancy H | 1111 comments Sandy,
It was so much fun going through your lists because we have very similar tastes. In fact, a couple of times I had to check to make sure I was still in your list instead of my own! (Although a lot of the books on y our TBR that I have read I don't have listed on GR because they were awhile ago). If you can't find anything here, or want me to add more titles, please let me know. It was almost too easy to find great titles for you that I could rave about, so I can find many more if you would like me to.

REDNotorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich – I saw you have read the others and thought you might want to continue. The cover is definitely red! Can’t Stand the Heat by Louisa Edwards – This has red lettering on the cover but also fulfils the ‘steamy’ book suggestion. If you are in the mood for a classic, the new edition of Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier has a great red cover.

ORANGEHarvest – Tess Gerritsen – This has orange on the cover, or at least the one on your TBR list does. Also from your TBR, I Am Number Four by Lore, Frey, and Hughes – More orange on the cover

YELLOW - Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes – I see that you read a lot of YA fiction and this one is good. Maisie Dobbs by Winspear – I really enjoy this series, and this is the first one. The edition in your TBR has a sort of yellow on it.

GREENClan of the Cave Bear – by Jean Auel – This is a very good series that I have enjoyed reading. Again, the edition on your TBR has a green cover. Chasing Jordan by Miranda Keneally – Lots of green plus much of it takes place on a football field with even more green.

BLUEThe Book of Summers by Hall – Looking through your ‘Read’ list, I saw several similar types that you gave five stars to, so I thought you might like it. French Lessons by Ellen Sussman – I noticed you like a lot of books set in France, and as do I, having been a former French teacher. I thought you might like this one, which I enjoyed. The cover has pink behind blue letters.

INDIGO - Criss Cross by Perkins - another YA book that I really enjoyed, with shades of indigo on the cover. The View From the Top by Hillary Frank – Also YA and a very good read. Shades of indigo on this cover, too.

VIOLET – From your TBR, The Wildest Heart by Rosemary Rogers. I have read all of hers and loved every one. This one has a lovely shade of violet. Another one, with both a violet cover and a GREAT French setting, also from your TBR, is Chocolat by Joanne Harris.

RAINBOW - Chasing Daisy by Paige Toon has several shades of the rainbow on it, and is a fun, light read. From your TBR, The Perfect Wife by Lynsay Sands has lots of colors of the rainbow on the cover.

Happy reading!

These look great! There are several that are actually at the top of my bedside "read asap" stack, so you did a really good job. I think I am going to start with Silent in the Grave because a friend has been raving about it to me, although there are several others that are just as intriguing.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Brandilyn: I ended up putting more stuff on MY TBR from your list then I actually recommended, but I really hope you like your picks. I used your TBR list for all of the books except for two. Also, there are a couple of books that I wouldn't mind doing a buddy read for if you're up for it. If there's anything you want me to change, let me know.

RED - Beyond Eden (Eden #1) by Kele Moon I hope you don't mind a little bit of girl cooties but it was on your TBR, so I figured it was ok. This was hot, intense and so, so good.

ORANGE - 911 by Chris Owen by Chris Owen. I've heard really good things about this story. It's been on my TBR for a while. If you do read this one, maybe we could buddy read?

YELLOW - The Archer by Abigail Roux this is a long one, but it looks really good and I've heard some really good things about it. Supposedly it doesn't seem like it's that long because it's so good.

GREEN - Gambling Men The Novel by Amy Lane I love Amy Lane. I actually have this on my TBR too so maybe another BR?

BLUE - The First Real Thing (Icon Men #1) by Cat Grant this was my first Cat Grant novel and I thought it was so good.

INDIGO - Fifteen Shades of Gay (For Pay) by T. Baggins I've heard really good things about this one. It's another one I have on my TBR as well. Buddy read?

VIOLET - Sweet Son by Heidi Cullinan Well, it's technically not violet but it IS purple. I thought this was a sweet and romantic fairy tale. I really like Heidi Cullinan's writing, so I hope you like this one too.

RAINBOW - Circle of Change by Laney Cairo I went with the LGBT option and this book is just amazing. Such a unique take on a transitioning teen's story. I just loved it!

message 250: by ~KarenH~, Moderator (new)

~KarenH~ | 11334 comments Hi Katie!
I enjoyed going through your bookshelves and saw quite a few things that I want to look at a little more in depth later. This was a bit of a challenge because although we read a lot of the same types of books, within those genres our tastes seem to be quite different. I tried to give you a wide variety so hopefully you will find something that interests you. For the most part, I tried to give you a book from your TBR and a book either from your to-buy shelf or something totally new.

RED - Select a book with a red cover or one whose title or author begins with R. Or suggest a steamy book. Cowboy Casanova – can’t get much steamier than those McKay cousins, or Three to Ride – more sexy cowboys!

ORANGE - Select a book with a orange cover or one whose title or author begins with O. Or recommend a book set primarily in autumn. On Dublin Street – I read this a couple of months ago and thought it really lived up to all the hype it has been getting, or How to Drive a Dragon Crazy (well, the cover is sort of orange…) it looks like you loved the rest of the series, so why not continue with it?

YELLOW - Select a book with a yellow cover or one whose title or author begins with Y. Or pick a book set during summertime. The Perfect Play – set in the summer, it’s a yummy book with an even yummier cover. Or, Candy Man – it looks like you enjoyed the first book in this series so maybe it’s time to get back to it.

GREEN - Select a book with a green cover or one whose title or author begins with G. Or suggest a book with an outdoor theme. Storm's Heart – not quite as good as the first book in the series, but still very good. Or, Offside – I’ve grown to love m/m sports romance, and this one looks really good.

BLUE - Select a book with a blue cover or one whose title or author begins with B. Or pick a book that has something to do with water. I Love You, Asshole! – the second book in the series, and it looked like you enjoyed the first one. Fifteen Shades of Gay – really good story…way, WAY better than the title and cover indicate.

INDIGO - Select a book with an indigo cover or one whose title or author begins with I. Or recommend a dark or suspenseful book. Passion Unleashed – I loved this series! You started it a long time ago, maybe it’s time to continue with it. Or, Naked in Death – the first book isn’t the best in the series but it is good, and introduces you to the wonderful world of Roarke!

VIOLET - Select a book with a violet cover or one whose title or author begins with V. Snow in moonlight is a beautiful shade of violet, so you could also pick a book set during the winter. When Beauty Tamed the Beast – I love this entire series, but I think this is the best so far. Or, And To All A Good Night – you read the book before and after this one, don’t you want to read this one, too? ;)

RAINBOW - Select a book with at least three colors of the rainbow on the cover or one whose title or author begins with any letter in RAINBOW. Or pick a LGBT book. A Reason To Believe – I haven’t read this yet but it sounds interesting and it’s the m/m buddy read choice for next month. Dine & Dash – I couldn’t let this go without at least a little bit of Ty & Zane!

I hope you can find something here that you like, if not let me know and I’ll dive in and try again!
