First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen – NEW
I saw you read Garden Spells and gave it a 3 so I thought you would enjoy the next book in the series. This book also has an apple on the cover and is one of my favorites – I just love Sarah Addison Allen’s magical realism and hope you do too ☺

The Deal by Elle Kennedy – NEW
I recently read this young adult book and enjoyed it so much. While it wasn’t ‘happy’ per se (the characters have some pretty traumatic backstories), the humorous banter between the characters was so much fun to me and I really enjoyed reading their natural progression from friendship into love.




Forsythia = Anticipation: Pick a book with some ‘heat’ to it, a book with a ‘hot’ cover, a book with food in the plot or on the cover (Anybody remember the Heinz ketchup A-N-T-I-C-I-P-A-T-I-O-N commercial?), or a book with a lot of yellow on the cover.

Can't Stand the Heat by Louisa Edwards – TBR
I think I should get double points for this because it has the word ‘heat’ in the title and it’s a book about food ☺ I saw this on your TBR list and thought I should pick it because its one of my favorite foodie-romance books and just such a fun story.




Delphinium = Levity: Pick a book with humor in it, a book that is a short, light, quick read, a book that is a recent addition to your pickee’s TBR list, or a book with a mostly blue color.

Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins – TBR
Higgins is one of my favorite authors and I just love her fun and witty books. Just One of the Guys is actually one of my favorites from her and I was really happy to see it on your TBR list. I’d recommend picking this one up if you get a chance!




Lily = Majesty: Pick a book with royalty or rich people in it, a book that is a fairy tale or a fantasy, a book that has any of the names Charlotte, Elizabeth, or Diana on the cover or as a character, or a book with a lot of white on the cover.

Remember When by Judith McNaught – NEW
I see you’ve read McNaught before and enjoyed her books…she is one of my favorite authors and this story is a winner to me. This book is similar in ways to her Paradise which I see you gave 5 stars to so hopefully you enjoy this one as well ☺ The story centers around ‘rich people’ and the heroine’s name is Diana.




Ginger = Strength: Pick a book with a strong female character, a book that has been on your pickee’s TBR list for a long time, a book that is long, or a book that has a lot of red or brown on the cover.

Cry No More by Linda Howard – NEW
Milla, the heroine of this story, is a strong female character whose baby was stolen from her when she was shopping in a marketplace. She dedicates the rest of her life to not only finding her lost baby but to help find missing children everywhere. I loved this story and really felt that Milla’s inner strength and determination was the best part of it.




Feverfew = Warmth: Pick a book that takes place in the summertime or at the beach, a book that has a summery cover, a book that you (the picker) have really liked, or a book with a mostly orange cover.

Baby Love by Catherine Anderson – TBR
This one has an orange cover and is also on my TBR list as Anderson is one of my favorite authors. If you pick this one let me know if its good and I’ll move it higher up on my (growing) TBR pile ☺




Michaelmas Daisy = Farewell: Pick a book that is set in a country other than the one your pickee lives in, a book that has travel or involves a trip, a book that has any means of transportation (including feet!) on the cover, or a book that has pink (like a flower) or black (like a train engine) on the cover.

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning – TBR
This is one of my favorite series and involves MacKayla (the heroine) taking a trip to Ireland to figure out the mystery of her sister’s death. If you like a mystery (and some cliffhangers at the end of each book) as well as paranormal, this one is great.

We have a ton of books in common (although not much on your preferred shelf) so I had to search a bit to find something new to you to recommend. I hope you enjoy the recommendations and something sounds intriguing.

Apple = Temptation: Fool for Love by Beth Ciotta is a small town romance with some quirky characters.

Crocus = Youthful Gladness: Truly, Madly by Heather Webber is a mix of romance, mystery and paranormal. I love Lucy's family history and how it changed for her.

Forsythia = Anticipation: Tall Tales and Wedding Veils by Jane Graves is the whole got drunk and married in Vegas start to a relationship.

Delphinium = Levity: I don't know much about this book from your TBR, but I've heard the author is good. No Control by Shannon K. Butcher

Lily = Majesty: Mercedes Lackey gives a new and interesting spin to fairy tales with The Fairy Godmother

Ginger = Strength: I've also heard good things about Lorraine Heath, plus I thought having some more choice with a historical would be good - Between the Devil and Desire

Feverfew = Warmth: This book sounded interesting with the paranormal investigative unit of the gov't - Fire and Fangs by Josephine McNabb

Michaelmas Daisy = Farewell: Ok, this was on your normal TBR, but I love Andrews and was surprised how great this story was despite the cheesy cover. I really loved the sense of family throughout. On the Edge

I confess I like to read a series in order so will start with Beyond the Highland Mist. I've also got The Way You Look Tonight lined up and am going to track down a copy of The Witness, because you're right - how could I not have any Nora Roberts on my list!! :-)
