I'm awful at names. So I'll help by voting :P
I've just started looking at the rules. Has anyone played this game before? What about captaincy? Any volunteers?

I was Captain the last 2 times I played Bingo, so I would rather not be Captain this time.
I am in frozen Minnesota! Right now it's a balmy 12 degrees F with a windchill of zero.

Anyway, hello everyone. :)
I'd rather not be captain. I normally don't mind but I have some business travel coming up in Feb/Mar and while it won't really cut into reading time, it will cut into time online.
Sandy - I'm in balmy Massachusetts. It's just about the same temperature here.

Congrats on getting married Vi! When did you get married?

Seventh Heaven Angels
Seven Wonders
Sassy Sevens
Fantasy Fanatics
Fantasy Fantasticals
LOL, I went to a random team name generator and I got this...
Curious Raccoons
Peaceful Humans

Steph definitely made it up - and this is the first time we've played it, so there could be a few bugs to iron out. That's what you're for my pretty guinea pigs . Bhwahhhhhhh ......
And for those in balmy climes in the US, I'm sitting here sweltering.

I'm in awe.. Of the random team name generator! :P I like Fantasy Fantasticals which would tie with game neatly.
I would have to say no to the captaincy as I have some personal issues that would require my attention. I can't commit to the captaincy.

Honestly, I am not at all picky about a name, but of the ones that Breann came up with, I like Fantasy Fanatics best.
Let's get this party started!

Ha.Ha. ;)
Okay, so far we seem to like the names with the word "Fantasy". Any other votes? I like Fantasy Fanatics, too. If nobody else wants to be captain I can do it.

Curious Raccoons
Peaceful Humans "
I absolutely must find a way to work Curious Raccoons into some sort of team at some point. :)
I'm good with Fantasy Fanatics too. And with Breann as captain.

It is pretty random. I'm okay with random!

Glamorous Monkeys
Alcoholic Jellyfishes <-- LMAO! wth?
Adventurous Gooses
Scientific Hyenas

The Mammoth Ferrets
The Violent Horses
The Rural Baboons
The Cluttered Hyenas
The Incandescent Gooses
Those are too funny!!
Ok, I say we go for Curious Raccoons! We even have a team picture :P
Breann, I'm good with you for captain :)

Are we good with the team name Curious Raccons? *giggle* This name makes me smile.

Have you seen this book?

Good luck everyone and happy reading.

LMAO! That's hilarious!

I'll also be out of town one weekend in Feb (taking my girls to Disneyland *SQUEEEE!*) so I may need a sub TC for that weeks drawing.

Recently married Vi? Congratulations .
not from this team , just looking around :)

Breann, I can sub for you while you enjoy Disneyland. Sounds fun!"
Okay, thanks Sandy :)

The time is now 6:30a, Sunday JST. ;)
Team captains, you may now draw a card and get your team on the board. This week, each team will move on the board. From this week forward, however, in order for your team to move forward, all members must have read, rated and reviewed their book by this time (give or take) next week.![]()

Looking forward to your review of this, Vi. It sounds really good!

Book Title: The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
Date Read: 27 January 2013
Rating: ★★★ 1/2
Review: When this book first came out, it had so much buzz. I heard mostly positive reviews and I wanted to read close to when the third book was out.
The best thing about the book was the Interesting world-building. The author really planned her world well. We are dropped in the world with little explanation and the author manages not to info-dump for the most part. I do wish the world will be built more in the next book(s).
The not-so-best thing was the use of God's will. How the God's will is interpreted differently by different factions forms the crux of the story. A very interesting concept had it been executed better. As it is, it left me a bit disappointed - especially the ending.
The close to bad thing was the characterisation was weak. All the characters are a little bit two-dimensional. Elisa as an insecure lead character is familiar but I wish her "coming-of-age" was better. It seemed like such a device - marriage to an indifferent guy 1 and attracted to a handsome, silent guy 2. Both the interests could have developed better. As it is, they don't serve that much a purpose.
All in all, an enjoyable read. I will definitely be picking up the next book in the series.

Wow that was fast! Way to set the standard, Vi! ;) The firsts in a series are always my least favorite. Series tend to get better in the next book IMO.
I'm hoping to start mine today (and hopefully be able to finish it before the work week starts!)
